All or part?

I need a little break from the heaviness of the economy and politics. So here's a question -- would you rather accomplish all of some or part of everything on your "to do" list? I had way too much on my list today, including working out (duh), laundry, cutting the grass, and a host of phone calls and errands.

So assuming you cannot get to everything on your list, are you the type who prefers to get all of some items done and carry over the others till tomorrow -- or some of everything and keep going the next day? I got my weight work in, but got no cardio (may try for some later), about 60% of my laundry done, and only the back grass - need to do the front. Got to about 60% as well on the business phone calls. So let's shift to lighheartedness a bit -- what kind of person are you?

I agree!

All of some! I would much rather feel like I finished something, rather than feeling that I left everything on my list half-finished!

I'm not saying that I actually achieve that, but I dare to dream!

I don't actually understand the concept of not completing everything on the list. You have to complete everything on the list and you have have to cross it off forcefully.... in pen. Several times. Sometimes you do extra things and you write them on the list so that you can cross them off...

It's vaguely possible I could need help.;)

I belong to Shelley's club. Huge lists, big-ass pen. :D

I prioritize, do what I can, highest, to lowest, then relax and not worry about the rest, there is always tomorrow.

OMG my DH busts me all the time for this. I always cross off everything on the list, then add on other things I did and cross them off too!!:eek:
I need to see it on paper. I NEED the feeling of crossing it off, I NEED him to see everything I crossed off!!! I NEED HELP.:eek::eek:

I prioritize. I usually accomplish all of the things on my list. If not, then most of the more important things have been accomplished. I usually try to make sure that the list is realistic. Also, I leave room for unexpected occurrences and room for the spirit to guide me. I very rarely feel guilty or uneasy about not accomplishing some of the things on my list. I took me some time to get to this point, but experience is a marvelous teacher.

OMG! I love this thread, Lorrie! LOL

Me? I'm a scratcher-offer. I've got a list of 15 things? I would rather FINISH only ONE and cross it off, than to have more than one thing HALF-DONE. NOTHING drives more insane than an un-finished project or task.

I LOVE THIS THREAD! :)

Can't handle the undone. At all! Prioritize, cross off and move to tomorrow's list only when necessary but never leave a list overnight! ADD what you DID do so you can cross it off and look more impressive to yourself for working so hard.

I *HEART* LISTS

Definately all of some then what doesn't get done moves to the next day. I always have a to do list for the week. In fact some got bumped from yesterday to today!!

Thanks for getting off of politics!!! :D
