I must be insane but I'm going to try. The only thing I'm going to do differently this week is that I'm doing S&H first & then PS because I'm meeting Francine at Cathe's gym this afternoon (woohoo!!!). I will change back to the identical rotation next week after the rest day. I was just afraid to do too much today before doing Body Pump this afternoon.

Can't wait to see what the next few weeks do to my body!!!

Hi Aimee,
I was wondering, does the yoga make a difference? I have been thinking of adding more of this into my routine. You have such a wonderful physique. Do you have a rotation that does not include running? The only time I have added running to my routine is with a treadmill. Alas I wore the thing out! I had such sore legs when I first started with it. I thought I was in good shape. Hmmmm. I have copied the rotations that you have put up here and have followed what you did for your competition. I am always interested in finding what has worked for others.
Diane Sue

Hi Diane Sue!! What a beautiful name! I'm parital to it, my mom is a Diane, so is my sis-in-law, and it's my daughter's middle name:D .
Anyway, yes, I think yoga makes a huge difference! I never would've tried it, if it hadn't of been for Cathe. She post a rotation for me so after I got the PS Series and in it she suggested doing yoga or stretching on my off days. So I got a yoga tape and did it one night. And for the first time I woke up without back pain!! And ever since I started yoga, my knees don't bother me. I do it to keep flexible and prevent injury. And it certainly does it for me!! I love yoga:7 !!
As for the rotations, sure I got one I think you'll love! Now it's similar to my MAX rotation, just with some of the newer tapes.

MON: 1/2 of MIC (floor or step)a.m., Cardio& Weights p.m.
TUES: IMAX2
WED: Cardiokicks a.m., Muscle Endurance p.m.
THURS: IMAX1 or any other interval tape
FRI: PowerMax a.m., Boot Camp p.m.
SAT: Rythmic Step or anyother longer cardio tape
SUN: REST

No if you need take out the second Imax and hae another rest day. Try to get in at least 20 min of yoga every other day too.
Hope you lke it!!

Hi, Aimee!
I am following your current rotation with some slight modifications, and I love it! I just need to clarify something: On week #2, are you working your biceps two days in a row (i.e., Thursday PS BBA, then Friday S&H Bi's and Tri's)? I just want to clarify to be sure I'm following the schedule correctly. I always thought that a person should not work the same muscle group two days in a row, but you certainly know what you're doing--you look great!

Hope all is going well with your training! :)

Denise

Whoooops!!! My mistake!! No I typed that wrong. Sorry about that. Switch around the Legs and shoulders and tri's and bi's tapes. Duh! That'll teach me not to proof read my post;) !
I'm glad you're liking it!!!!

Aimee

Thank you for your quick reply, Aimee!! I'll switch those two tapes around. Thanks for the great (and tough!) rotation!
Week #3 looks like it will be fun, too. Take care, and please post after the first five weeks (or sooner) so I know what
comes next, okay?
Take care,
Denise :)

Thanks Aimee
This looks interesting. I wrote it down and will definitly give it a try. Also thanks on the yoga info. I will have to find a tape.
Diane Sue

Hey, if you've never done a yoga tape I highly reccomend Crunch's Joy of yoga. It a wonderful first yoga tape and only about $10:)

I recommend Bryan Kest's Power Yoga vol. 2 Tone...it's helped out my knee pain and increased my flexibility after just doing this once a week for the past 3 weeks.

Aimee,

How do you and others have time to do all this? Do you work out about 2 or 3hours/day? Do you get up at 5am and go to bed at midnight? Do you take vitamins or supplements to keep your energy

I am impressed. For the last 6 weeks I have been doing Cathe's Intensity Strength rotation and adding extra cardio on a few days, whihc means some days I work out 2 hours, but it has been hard to keep up. Before this rotation I just worked out an hour/ day. The sad thing is that I have not seen any changes except for more sculpted biceps since starting this rotation. And although I have been eating clean, I have gained one pound, which i hope is muscle

Kathy

Hi Kathy!! Well, you're partly right. I get up between 4 and 5 and do cardio. At most, I'll go 45 min. Most days, it's only 30min.
I work for the school system which means I'm home in the afternoon and have all those beaks off. So, during the school year, I'll come home and do my weights. About an hour. Then about 7:30, I'll do 1/2 hour of yoga. During the breaks I'll change that up because I have all day. So I guess it comes out to about 2 hr/day. Sometime only an hour and a half if I skip the yoga.
That pound you gained probably is muscle. Are your clothes still fitting the same? Are they looser? Do you take measurements? Go by those instead of the scale. Ok, this is where I need to practice what I preach, because I get on it once a week like clockwork;-) .
You are doing great!!!! Don't get discouraged!! You're doing more than 80% of the population right now. Remeber that:) .
