adjusting actual weight used

Cathlete
hello, is there a way to input the adjusted weight you actually used so that if that exercise appears again, the adjusted weight will show up on that day's workout card?

hope that makes sense.

If you like the weight you ultimately went with then divide that by the % of the 1rm used to get the revised 1rm. For instance, if you used 25 lbs for an exercise that was 60% of 1rm then the 1rm would be 42 lbs (26/.65). The go to workout manager into the 1rm calculator and enter 42 as the weight with 1 as the rep. Thats it. No need to retest.

I think it would be easier if you just went into the 1RM calculator and go to the disk that you want and look for the exercise that you perform and put in the actual weight and rep that you did and just calculate it over again.

sam,

it sounds so easy, but alas, i'm still having trouble...okay this is the situation:

flys...target wt-12 target rep- 15 1rm 20

the actual weight is 15 target rep stays the same

how do i change it so that everytime i see that exercise printed out on workout cards for upcoming discs it will say 15 for weight instead of 12?

thanks

I used 19 pounds at 10 reps for a 1RM of 25. This brings my target weight to 15 pounds for chests fly's at 60% of my 1RM on my workout card Disc1. If you make the change in the 1RM calculator it should change it on the workout card for Disc1 . Disc 4 is 65 % so it should show 16 pounds for your targets weight. HTH

You would actually have to go into the 1RM calculator and change it from there. Did you try going there from my other suggestion yet. It should work.

Thins Great,

If what you meant to say is how does it stay the same as long as we are using the same 1rm%. Ultimately you will want it to go up as the Mesocycles change and we are doing less reps and more weight.

In your example, if 15 is what you used and assuming we are in Mesocycle Week 1 then your card should show 60% of 1rm for this number of reps. So you would take 15 divide by 60% and that would give you a 1rm of 33 lbs. Now go to that calculator, look up the exercise and enter 33lbs as weight and reps of 1. Now your 1rm is changed and the next time we do the exercise at 60% the target weight shown on the card will be 15.

I have been doing this to 2 to 3 exercises per workout where I feel the 1rm is way off. Its like we are just fine tuning the 1rm. Going forward, this should not be an issue once the 1rms are adjusted.
