Absolute Kickboxing!!!!

She doesn't completely stop and just stand there, she just kind of goes through the motions, poorly I might add. Like she's totally lost her way. I just thought it was odd. I actually said outloud "what is she doing?".

I did not notice the fake nails, I'll have to check that out.

ETA: I put it on my rotation for next week. I think I'm going to have to bump it up to this week. I do have to get a 9lb body bar first though.

I have never even noticed this! I will look for it now, just for fun! I did this one yesterday and I was lacking energy, didn't want to workout, pms'ing but once I popped this baby in I got totally into it and had a great workout. Have I said how motivating I find the music on Absolute Kickboxing???

I GOT MINE TODAY!!! I'm so excited. I previewed a bit of it while I was running on the treadmill and it looks great!

I'm going to try it on the weekend.

And I did notice the girl in the back suddenly just stopping and then kind of half-heartedly flailing her arms around a bit. Strange.
 
I agree about the music Angela!!!

I was actually previewing while I was putting my workout space back together and I could resist stopping what I was doing to try out some of the moves because the music just made me want to move!
 
Yes, your review would really be appreciated. I'm still interested in this one but as stated in my previous post am worried about building the midsection.

If it helps, I did it again yesterday and had absolutely no DOMS in the ab region. I did skip the ab portion at the end though.

I did this this morning but was kind of tired so I do not want to give my full review yet until I do it again. However, this may sound mean but I can't help but think the 2 background girls look kind of ghetto in my opinion. Kimberly has such a fresh, clean cut look and the other 2 women just look like they do not fit in. I found it distracting.
 
I used to do a lot of instructor's workouts but find that I don't want to do anything but Cathe now. I did just order Jari Love's Ripped series but haven't received it yet.

Anyway, I am wondering how KS compares to Cathe and if any of you "miss" Cathe when you are doing other instructor's workouts.

After reading this post, I really want to get this one. Must. Stop. The. Madness. Can't. Buy. More. UGHHHHHHH!
 
Okay, I'm back!!! I did the warm-up and combos this morning and I absolutely (pun intended) LOVED it! Kimberley has a great personality and she is a lot of fun. And the combos flow nicely and there's a good balance of upper and lower work. The music is great.

I started to do the combat drills with my barbell (no weights on it, of course) but it's too long and my ceiling is low and I had visions of taking out my light fixture, so I'm going to pick up a body bar today so I can do the combat drills tomorrow.

I can see myself reaching for this one a lot. I really want to try the combat intervals but I'll have to wait for a day when I have more time.

I just did the workout this AM-loved it-especially the kickbox portion, she actually stayed on the ground most of the time, which is good for me!}( It got the heartrate up though, I really enjoyed it. But I must have pressed the wrong button, because I completed the kickbox workout and did not know how to access the combat drills in between, so I just went back and did them afterwards. I skipped the abs though, too much twisting for my lower back is not a good thing!

Liked Kimberly, the gals were cool, I liked that all of their bodies looked "normal". If that makes sense. :)

Overall, liked it better than Amy Bento, just as much as KPC or DrillMax, so its a keeper.:7 I got the Squeeze workout which I plan on trying tomorrow.

There are basically 2 workouts - 1 kickboxing workout and 1 combat drill workout. You have to go to one of the options, similar to Cathe's premix option - I forget the name, to find the combat drill workout. While you're there, you have the option to do a mixture of both. If you just play the workout from the main menu, you'll only end up doing the KB portion.

Now that I've re-read what I just wrote, I'm not sure I'm making sense.

I 'absolutely' love this workout too! My favorite way to do this workout is to do the premix where she alternates the KB with the combat drills. It's "beautiful" as Kimberly likes to say. I am doing this workout tomorrow ~ no dread factor with this one! Have a great weekend!

Actually, if you play the workout as-is, you'll get the kickboxing followed by the bar drills (right after the 'post-cardio cooldown') automatically, without having to do any other choices.

To get the workout where the KB and the bar work alternates, you need to go to the "Absolute Mixes" option on the main menu to choose the "Absolute Interval Mix."
