? about weight loss and breast size

My chest size has been a 36C since I had a chest (well at least since I was in high school :)

Since I've gained weight, the number has gone up but not the cup size. Now, I know when you lose weight, you lose everywhere, but it would really suck to lose what I've got. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I know the weight loss is good for health and overall, chest size shouldn't matter, but I'm still worried. I do not want implants and never thought I'd need them. But I never needed to lose weight before either.

Thanks!

Kim

For lots it's an unfortunate fact of life that chest size is lost along with weight loss and unfortunately it is often times NOT gained back if we gain weight!x(

I was an A cup most of my life so never had much to lose but got implants about 5 years ago. Right about the time I started my life long fitness journey. Over the years I have lost whatever minimal amount of natural tissue I had. Thank goodness for the implants or I'd be FLATTER then a board!

On the flip side, my BFF has always had ATLEAST a C cup. When she gains weight her chest gets BIGGER but when she loses it she rarely loses anything in her boobs! She is overweight right now. I am training her and she is on her way back to a healthy weight slowly but surely. I can almost garuntee you that she will lose very little as far as her chest goes. She already experiences back pain from her large chest and as she loses weight it will probably get worse. She is considering a reduction down the line if this is the case.

Well, Kim, the girls and I have been on a journey. Pre-kids I was what I felt a perfect 34B. After 2 pregnancies and nursing for 4 years I went up to a 40DD. Over a long period of time things settled down to a mature and full 36C. That was fine by me but I was overweight.

So, this year has been my real fitness journey and I've been exercising and eating better than I have my whole life. I've lost in the neighborhood of 15 pounds and I feel great.

BUT I have gone down to a 34B again but nothing whatsoever like my pre-kid perkiness.

It is what it is. I'd rather be healthy. I wish I had perkier boobs but it's a trade off I'm willing to make. Implants aren't an option for me.

I guess it just varies person to person, as so much other stuff does. Hopefully, IF I can ever lose the stinking weight, I'll retain what I have. I know they'll probably get a bit smaller, but I wouldn't want to go down a cup size. Like you said though, health is better.

Thanks

Kim

Kim, I've found that the chest size changes with my weight, but not the cup size. I've lost some weight in the past few years, not on purpose, but I'm down to about 109 now (insanely low for me) and I've still got the same D cups I had when I weighed 125. Don't sweat it! It won't necessarily happen to you.

Ditto to what Nancy said. I've had a lot of variance with the band size (the number) but the cup size has been consistently C or D since high school. Actually when breastfeeding it got up to DD, but even at my smaller size when I got married (I was 115-120 lbs) I had C & D bras both. It probably varies by person, but I imagine if you are generally top-heavy you'll still have more up there than elsewhere. I like to say I still have an hourglass figure at larger sizes, it's just a bigger hourglass all over. :p
