Can someone give me the break down on this video, and your opinions on it? I cant get rid of my lower ab flab. Thanks.

Hi Maureen,

You sound like a gal that needs to be introduced to PLANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-jumpy

There has been quite a few postings on Planks over the past couple of weeks, on their effectiveness of licking the lower abs in to shape. I did some for the first time the other night, and my lower abs ached like they have never ached before in my entire life ! :D No joke !

I think Ab Hits carries quite a few plank routines ?

Anna :)

Hi Maureen, here is a break down of the DVD.[http://www.cathe.com/presale_DVD_Ab_Hits_2002.htm]

This is the only breakdown of he VHS I could find:

Ab Hits - VHS contains 7 different abdominal and core conditioning workouts from: Maximum Intensity Strength, Power Circuit, Kickbox, Body Max, Slow Heavy/Chest Back & Abs, Slow Heavy Biceps/triceps/abs

I posted somewhere on this forum that Cathe should do an entire video of plank work. I wonder if anyone has produced a video entirely comprised of plank work. Sometimes I do them on my own, put a song on that I like, mentally focus...you see yourself improve..I am going longer and longer. Lisa

Thanks everybody. Do any of you think that stress can make you gain inches in your abdomen? I had heard that, but I am not sure
I believe it.

RE: Cortisol

Hi Maureen,

I posted a question about this earlier last week or the week (on Open discussion) before about something that I had read about those who don't go to bed early and get enough sleep for them over night can result in the body creating cortisol which keeps fat in the ab area ( and from what I read in the magazine article, it keeps you bigger all over).

I am guilty of being someone who HATES going to sleep, I am a real night owl, and despite exercising, haven't lost anything much to shout about. So, I decided at the beginning of the week that I would make an effort and go to bed earlier, and I don't know if this is psychological or not but my tummy feels flatter and less wibbly-jibbly !
