To my dearest "EC" crowd. Yesterday night I opened the mail and came across a very special and generous donation given to Canine Partners For Life by all of you in memory of my Hampton. I was so surprised by this certificate and quickly became choked up with emotion. It was a very tender moment for me and I was happy that my husband was at my side to share it with. We were so moved by your generosity. You all go above and beyond in every way to do the kindest things for others. I feel so blessed to have you in my life, I really do!

I am so glad you enjoyed the donation, Cathe - you do so much for all of us, on a DAILY basis - it's hard to NOT want to give back to you. Even though you're a "superstar," you make yourself real and accessible to each of us - that is a gift in itself.

And thanks to Gina, too, for the wonderful idea and for organizing it all - and for the thank you note!!!!

Thank you Gina, for such a beautiful contribution on Hampton's behalf. I cannot begin to tell you how choked up I was when I opened the certificate. I'm sure arranging this was quite an undertaking and I am honored that you would go to such lengths to do this for me. I'm so glad that everyone mentioned that you had coordinated this or I would never have known. You are very humble, how sweet.

How ironic to receive a quote from a friend today that falls right in line with your humble nature.

"The greatest pleasure I know is to do a good deed by stealth and have it found out by accident".

Just one more big hug for Cathe and your family. I also want to say thanks to Gina as well!! You did an amazing job keeping us all updated on the status and the thank you note was VERY sweet!:) I am such an animal lover and it made me feel much better to be able to help out.
 
Cathe we love you dearly & were devastated when you lost Hampton. I'm so glad that we were able to make you feel good.
Speaking of which, we all owe Gina a big thank you, she worked so hard & is a lovely person as well!

I'm new to this board, & Wow! What a great bunch of people!!! It's a nice change to read posts like this after reading so many negative things on other boards! I love animals and I know how important they are to those of us who love them. (I have 2 cats.) It's so uplifting to read about people doing wonderful things for others without seeking recognition. Bravo ladies!!!
