A Prayer Request

A girl I knew from high school died this weekend, just a few days after Christmas. She had a brain hemorrhage, but I don't know the details right now about what caused it. She was only 37 and had a 10 year old daughter. Her family, friends and I are heartbroken. She was a beautiful person inside and out.

I'm sorry to get you all bummed out, but please pray for this family, that God will grant them the strength, hope and encouragement they need. It is really difficult right now. Judy had 2 sisters, a brother and her daughter Emily. Both her parents also survive.

I just prayed for your friend's family. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers throughout the day.

Count me in too

Martina,
I will remember your friends family in my prayers as well. That through this tragedy they will all know that He really is a God of love. Sandhiker

You are all in my prayers and may you find strength in Gods love ,knowing she is with Him. Take care, Susan

Thanks so much everyone. I learned more about what happened today. It was not so much a hemorrhage as I understand, but an aneurysm. My layperson's sketchy understanding is that a hemorrhage is caused more by trauma to the head or brain specifically if the head hits something with enough speed or force or vice versa.

An aneurysm is more about a blood vessel in the brain, for whatever reason, spontaneously rupturing. In other words, it wasn't that her head hit something hard or something hard hit her, but the blood vessel just ruptured. I remember that happened to someone my dad knew a long time ago.

Anyway, Judy's little girl, Emily Paige is actually 12, not 10. She and her husband had divorced a few years ago. I don't know who will get custody of Emily, her dad or her grandparents.

This happened Friday morning, two days after Christmas. It's very hard for everyone right now. The entire family needs our prayers. Keep praying. Sorry to burden all you with this, but it's on my heart to do this. Hope you can understand.

Marti...

It is no burden at all. Glad you let us know. I can't even begin to imagine what the family is going through. She was lucky to have a friend like you who cares so much. Still thinking & praying for you also.

Thanks everyone for praying for Judy's family. On behalf of them, including little Emily, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Now go out and enjoy life to the fullest this year and appreciate all you have.

Love,

Martina
