A new addition!!!

We went and picked out our new puppy today!!! His name is going to be Vladimir (Vlad - like Dracula - I'm a little weird) We get to bring him home tomorrow. The PetSmart was having an adoptathon today with the Humane Society. They had 2 girls and 1 boy and we got the boy. He's a Shepard mix, looks like there may be a bit of Rot in him, too. He is 11 weeks old. I will post a picture tomorrow when I bring him home. I keep thinking the Humane Society is going to turn down my application and tell me I can't have him, which I don't see why that would happen. So, tonight will be my last good night's sleep for a while. Puppies whine all night. But they are soooooo cute!!

Congratulations on your new pup! What a wonderful thing it is to adopt a pet who needs a home. We adopted one a little over a year ago and every time I see the adoptions going on at PetSmart, it breaks my heart not to take them all home. Wish I could help them all, but one is certainly a start! Good luck with him. We'll be looking for pictures.

oh how fun!

Don't laugh, (and I am as I am writing this b/c I feel like I am 5 again) but today I decided to buy a little fish tank for my home office and get a fish. NOT NEARLY as exiciting as your new addition but something to brighten my days!

Fish might not be as exciting Christine - relaxing actually...but Nan has her work cut out for her!;-)

I hope you enjoy your fish. What kind are you getting? DD had a Beta and some neon tetras for awhile. Fun to watch, but I hated tank cleanup.

Nan!!! YEAH! There is nothing like a new puppy to help with the passing of a beloved friend. Your puppy sounds adorable! I cannot wait too see pics!! I kept Jimmy in big plastic storage tub (eventually dubbed Pupperware) without the lid and filled with blankets and toys (not the squeaky kind - that's counter productive :+) by my bed the first few weeks so if he wimpered at night, I could reach out and sooth him. He did very well actually. Good luck with your new addition!!!!

Vlad is sooo adorable!

Yes he does look like he has rot in him for sure.
Marked just like one. He reminds me of my Doberman Ruby when she was that little. Too cute!

Oh my! Vlad has to be one of the cutest things I've seen in a long, long time! He looks like a happy little guy, too. Give him a big old hug for me!!!!
 
So cute! Hooray for puppy dogs! I just have to admit that I noticed right away in the first pic that he is definitely a boy dog! }(
 
Oh what a cutie. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Good luck with him. I can remember all the fun we had with ours. The one we have now is nine months old and she still makes us laugh.

Congratulations on your new addition!! He is SO CUTE!!! Vlad looks very similar to my dog that we adopted almost 4 years ago. She is a GS with (we think) a little chow mixed in. She is the sweetest dog!! Have fun with him!
