A little teary eyed, but oh so happy!

Cathlete
Well my fellow Cathletes, life is good! I posted a couple of months ago that I had just returned to working out and was on my way to a better, happier life.
A little OT but I wanted to share an amazing day.
Today was the first anniversary of my mother's death. I woke up this morning feeling pretty sad, especially right at 7:15 a.m. when she passed away. I thought to myself, "Well I can wallow in my sorrow all day or I can make the most of this beautiful day." I proceeded to do an AWESOME Cathe workout. After that I treated myself to a haircut at my neighborhood stylist. I had been putting off doing a final project for a class so I tackled that too. Had a wonderful comfort food lunch (catfish nuggets, coleslaw, and cornbread!)
I decided to ride my bike to the local library and found a wonderful book called "Happy For No Reason." After reading for a couple of hours I decided to take a little break and went to the cutest little restaurant and had a veggie wrap and fruit. I went back to the library and read until they closed the doors. As I was walking out I thought to myself, "I just had one of the best days I can remember." All of a sudden it dawned on me what day it was. Yep, she was right there with me! I looked up at the sky, gave her a big kiss, hopped on my bike and rode home to my two bright-eyed, always welcoming doggies.
Thanks for letting me share my day with all of you:) You guys are great:D

that is amazing! I literally got goosebumps as I read your post! I very much agree that she was right there with you...trying to tell you it's gonna be alright and most of all, that she WANTS you to be happy no matter what! I loved reading this! I'm so happy it was a GREAT day for you!

So glad you were able to enjoy a beautiful day with your mom at your side! Always remember she's with you no matter what!

I loved reading this, so heartwarming. I lost my mother- best friend, almost 7 years ago and I still feel her next to me. I talk to her all the time.:)
Thank you for sharing!

What a wonderful story about your day. That is what your mom would want! She is right there with you - your angel. What a great love story.

Sherry, shoot, now I"m all teary eyed! Thanks for the post, what a wonderful day. See, good days start with a Cathe and at some point there is catfish in there! Thanks for sharing!

Sherry,

Thank you so much for posting this. Sadly, I'm also coming up on the one year anniversary of my mom's passing (7/18). :( I've been wondering how I'm going to mark the day and you gave me some wonderful ideas and I guess my mom might inspire me w/ some ideas too. :)

Take care~

That was beautiful. I am so glad you found inner strength to make it a wonderful day. I am sure one day I will draw on your example. Thank You for sharing.
