A Delicate Subject

I'm not sure how to politely say this, but here goes. While I love the higher impact moves in your videos, I have bladder control problems when I jump around. As you can imagine, this is very embarrasing, is there anything I can do to remedy this situation? Thank You in advance.

You sure can. The answer is to start doing kegel exercises. Although most women tend to associate these exercises with pregnancy, kegels are an exercise that should be performed forever. It is specifically designed to strengthen the pelvic floor to help correct the exact problem you are referring to.

Our pregnancy/exercise expert Sheila Watkins has gone into great detail answering this question plus describing how to do these kegel exercises on our pregnancy forum. To read her response, simply do the following:

* Go to lobby and click on Pregnancy Forum

* Notice the numbers 1 though 4 listed at the top of the page(just beneath the words "viewing threads 1-20).

* Click on #3

* Go down about four thread titles until you see the one titled "Kegels" (posted by Joyce).

* Click on that thread and then scroll down the table of contents to find Sheila Watkins post titled: Re: Contracting Kegels While Exercising(Aug 7th 1999)

* Click on that response and you will find an extremely detailed answer that will help you with this situation.

Good Luck with everything!

Thanks for asking!

LECornn,
I really appreciate your asking about bladder matters (ha!) during higher impact activites. I've been meaning to do so for some time but thought maybe I was the only one with such problems. I'm hoping that the kegels--which I've begun to do routinely--will help. Thanks again!
