Hi Cathe:
I preordered all 8 new tapes and am very anxious to receive them! I have been rotating PS series and MIS/Bodymax for a few months or so and am wondering how to schedule my new tapes. Would it be advisable to just do the 6 pack for a while? (Of course that still leaves the other two.)When will I add in the PS series MIS etc...? I started interval max about 4 weeks ago and am also concerned about losing my cardio achievements while on the 6 pack. I have made incredible strength gains with your videos. . Thanks cathe!
P.S. So many tapes so little time!

How to use the new tapes!

Since everyones fitness level is different, and their genetics are different, no one method will work for everyone. But generally speaking, I would say for the person who uses all of my tapes on a regular basis, these are a few ways you can use the new 6 pack:

As far as weight training is concerned, these tapes should be alternated with the PS Series/MIS every five to six weeks. Use the PS series rotation to increase your muscle mass, then use the 6 pack rotation for maintenance. Or, while on the PS rotation, you could add on the additional 6 pack exercises to a particular body part if you want to hit that body part even harder.

As far as cardio is concerned, again, you can use this as a five to six week maintenance program as is(and then return to your usual cardio routine)OR you can work it into your regular cardio routine selecting which ever workout you want for a shorter cardio day. OR if you are on a regular cardio rotation of longer cardio workouts, you can attach one of the shorter workouts to the end of another regular cardio workout. OR you can even do two cardio portions of the 6 pack workouts on a particular day to make a 60 minute workout. There are just endless ways to use these tapes.

As for Circuit Max and Cardio Kicks, they are two workouts that you can add to your collection of classic cardio days.

Hope this makes sense!

workout variety - DVD

I'm so glad SNM decided to produce these new videos on DVD! Personally, I don't own a DVD player yet, but I'm really looking forward to getting one within the next year. It seems that the way these tapes are constructed lends them perfectly to the DVD format. I don't have a lot of patience to cue up tapes, so I don't mix up workouts very much, although I'd like to. Knowing that these new workouts are available on DVD (as well as your previous DVD) reassures me that when I do buy a player I will get a lot of value out of it!

In the meantime, I have of course purchased the 8-pack on VHS because I can't wait that long!

I sincerely hope that SNM finds that producing the DVD was good for business, particularly when you factor in that there may be others like me who will buy/have bought both the VHS and DVD. In my opinion, when a company consistently peforms with as much quality as SNM does, their customers will reward them!

Thanks Cathe:
I am hoping your new videos will give me a breakthrough in the area of fat loss. (post-baby 22 months, still breastfeeding)Can't wait!

curious

I know breastfeeding helps most lose that extra poundage at first -- think it comes off a little more quickly. But, what about the last 5 to 10 lbs? Have any of you out there found this impossible to lose these lbs until you quit?

breastfeeding

I didn't start to lose the last fifteen(!) pounds until I quit. And I never finished losing them because I got pregnant again two weeks later.

BUT--in those two weeks I'd lost five pounds, so I think that they would have come off really quickly.

opposite results!

I had NO trouble getting off the extra weight by breastfeeding (each of my 3 kids for a year each). In fact, I was sad to give up breastfeeding because I knew I would be burning less calories. Sure enough, after I stopped nursing each of my kids I gained a couple of pounds! I was proud that after my third child, my weight dipped lower than it was during high school (14 years ago
