60 Day No Fast Food/Sugar-ose Challenge

Sorry I'm getting this started so late. Reoccurance of back injury. But when the pain started to get to a manageable level and my head was back on straight, I hurried to get this Challenge started.

So far so good. I said "No" to my daughter's generous offer to her Easter basket and have emptied all sugar items from my cupboard. Out of sight, out of mind.

So here we go...

I got rid of my breakfast cereals that are loaded with high fructose corn syrup and am trying to find bread without it too. Almost impossible! Do you ladies eat cereal at all? It seems only oatmeal and Cheerios are low on the sugar list. I'm also training myself to drink my coffee black again, instead of adding all the creamer. (this is a tough one for me! x( )
 
I have found these bread types lower on the HFCS:

*100% whole grain bread, by Roman Meal and
*Carb Counting 100% Whole Wheat by Brownberry.
*100% whole wheat by Thomas English Muffins.

They all taste pretty good. My favorite so far is the bread by Roman Meal.

I need to try to drink coffee black too. I wonder how long it'll take to adjust to bitter taste? Yes, this one will be really tough for me too. I'm game if you are;)

I'm thinking it will help me cut back on coffee altogether, so I'm up for this change. Drinking coffee w/cream makes me want a cookie with it too - and this is my downfall. I got through yesterday and so far today without it! :)
 
Okay, I am with you on this. I do pretty good with the fast food. I can take my kids and not get anything, but I guess this means I can't steal a fry from my son either.

The sugar is another issue altogether. This is my downfall, especially chocolate. I did go sugar free yesterday, boy, was it tough. But right now I am up about 7 lbs. and am suppose to be on a fructose restricted diet anyway, so I need this.

So here we go!!!!

I'd like to join too. I'm good about fast food restaurants - I almost never frequent them. As for other restaurants, I love them.

I'm a little nervous about the sugar challenge though. After dinner I love a little No Pudge Brownie with frozen yogurt on top. Now that's going to be tough for me but I'm willing to give it all that I have and I'm starting tonight!!

Depends on what is on the Subway I guess it would be ok. anyway I feel the same way about the Asian Chicken Salad at McDonalds.. I think it's pretty good. I feel really proud when I go through the drive-through and that is all I get!
 
Normally if I go to Subway I order the Veggie Delite Sub with just a little honey mustard. Yes, there's sugar in there somewhere I'm sure, but I have to be realistic about eating too. This is really forcing me to plan my meals better (especially the lunch that I take to work) and not be tempted to run down the street to McDonalds or something.

By the way, anyone see the latest commercial for Subway where the couple is in the fast-food drive-thru and the lady asks for an order of "thunder thighs" with a side of "ba-donkey-donk butt"? Love it!:D
 
I would like to join too,I have been trying to eat clean on my own but it is hard when everyone around me is not. I think the support will be great. Well of to have some oatmeal cinnamon pancakes with a little sugar reduced jam:7(because thats ok right?,can't give up everything) Have a good day!
