Hi all,

not much to report here, just taking it easy.
I'm starting 4DS rotation this Monday and looking forward to it.

My birthday is just around the corner and I am getting a bundle of Cathe dvds! Woohoo! I can't wait for them to get here! It's so funny how much I like getting new workout dvds! With them here it won't matter how long the sts cardio is in the making, I'll have stuff to keep me busy for a good while! LOL!

Hope all of you are doing well!

Happy Birthday Cendrine. That is an awesome gift. What workouts are you getting?

I did PUB today and my upper body feels like lead. I am gonna feel it tomorrow.

My battery on my computer is going to run out.
BB tomorrow.

Yeah Cendrine What are you getting?

I was trying to find a rotation for this month and I need so many dvd's to complete any of the rotations. For this week I am going to do the first week of her 'Butts and Guts' rotation.I do not know which month it was but it looked interesting. Then when I went to write it down I noticed that I do not have Power Max. I looked it up and it was power hour with maximum intensity and one other dvd. So I am not sure what to sub for that one. Anyone have any ideas? I am not sure if that is a premix of that set or what. So I am not sure if I need to do cardio and weights or if it is a full body weight. I would not think that would be the case though because the next day is Muscle Endurance. So I am thinking it might be cardio and weights but if anyone know and is around to tell me before Tuesday I would appreciate it.

The week looks like this:Mon-butts and guts, Tues-Power Max, Wed-Muscle Endurance, Thurs-45 min cycling(I will sub some steady step cardio), Fri-Plyo Leg of my choice, Sat-30 min intervals w/ab circuit.

I am really thinking about getting the gym style series but I want PUB and PLB too. I think I went through and added up all the dvds I wanted right now and it was about 170 dollars:eek: That was the GS and PUB and PLB and Supersets and Push pull. Is that too much?

I hope all is well with everyone. I had a very short day off but maybe this week it will all be over with.

I finished up phase one of CLX yesterday and started phase 2 today! I really enjoyed having a new workout today. We managed to keep busy this weekend even with no plans initially, went to the movie UP, today went swimming at my sister's pool. DH and I worked at putting up a basketball net for ds. It's amazing at how the day fills up:D Friday, I took the kids (and one extra kid) to a French museum, church and then out for a treat. The kids go to school in French, we have quite a French speaking community in our city so went over there to sightsee. The kids seem to enjoy it.

Gayle I'm so glad to see you back. What a summer you have had! How is your friend doing?? Did you decide to work at the school fulltime?

Cendrine Hope you had a good time on your anniversary:D How many years?? What dvd's are you getting???

Chrissy What a cute pic of Dusty!

Rachael Is the dvd you're talking about Power Hour or Power Max?? PowerMax is a steady state step aerobics for 60 mins with no weights. PowerHour is all weights, more endurance than strength. My kids go back to school Sept 9th. We have one more little trip over the Labour Day weekend before they go back. The cabin sounds nice and relaxing after your busy summer! I think you asked about our cottage a couple of weeks ago. My parents had built it with the plan to live out there during the summer once they retired but my dad passed away at age 60 (6 months before retirement). So it's a quite a nice bungalow. It's 1200 sq feet, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, air conditioned. There's about 2.5 acres of land on water front. There is a boat, paddle boat, canoes, ATV etc. It is very nice but tons of work. There is no way that my mom can keep it up by herself plus her place in the city and she doesn't like going out there alone. She's always after the family to go out with her. When you only go out occasionally it seems we spend half the time doing maintenance. When we do go out she spends half the time complaining that we don't come enough. I think she doesn't want to give up her dream of having a cottage and expects us to maintain it for her. It's just all frustrating some times. It's beautiful cottage and we do have fun but I never chose to have a cottage which is so much work.

Sorry, guess I needed to vent.

Hi Guys,

Rachel, I would do any cardio for Power hour, because both the one before and after are weight lifting workouts, so stick with cardio.

The bundle I'm getting has all the really old ones as well as the cross train express MIC and MIS, the original Body Max (I was wondering so long where that one was because I looked for Body Max 1 instead of just body max...LOL) and some others, can't remember the titles... Anyway, lots of them! A definite splurge, and I'm loving it!
What's funny is I already have a wishlist that has all the titles that were not included in the bundle that I still want to get at some point.... My in-laws always write me big checks for birthdays and holidays and I usually just bank them, but I fully intend of using them to complete my Cathe collection....

Rachel, if you can afford the dvds just get them! Remember you are not spending any money on gym membership and personal trainers, so don't worry if you have a few new ones to get. I could give you endless good reasons (or excuses, whichever way you want to look at it) to go ahead and get them, so if you need more help justifying the purchase, I'll be happy to help! ;)

I'm starting my 4DS with the bootcamp one, get the toughest one out of the way first, is what I'm thinking....

Hey Kim,

I somehow missed your post, didn't mean to ignore you.

We celebrated our 11th anniversary. It's amazing how fast it goes, and how slow at the same time somethimes...

That is so cool that your kids go to french school! I love that! I always wished I could have been raise bilingual, but I had to learn my foreign languages the hard way. And now that I have my own kids I have the hardest time raising them bilingual. It's really hard when you are the only one speaking the other language...My kids always answer me in English no matter how many times I talk to them in Swiss German, Sigh... At least they understand it though... I have lowered my expectations a lot, it tired me out too much to keep it up...

I'm sorry that the cottage is so much work to keep up! Is there any way someone who lives up there could be hired to do some of the work so that when you go you can actually relax? Are any of your other siblings helping with the up keep or are you pretty much taking the load? I would be frustrated too, if I had to maintain something I didn't sign up for... It's hard enough to keep one house in shape, isn't it?
