6 month STSers, monday

Hi everyone.

I am back. I had a good time but I ate terribly. I am so frustrated with my food. Right before camping I lost 5 lbs, gained it back over the weekend at camping, lost it again and gained it back this weekend. I am so upset. I can't do this anymore. I even planned out this weekend to avoid this and it didn't work. There was too much dessert/snack food.

My class starts today. I am taking adult fitness. M-F 4:30 to 7:00. yuck!! For 2 weeks. I don't really want to take a summer class but it is not offered during the year.

I am going to the gym to do my long walk today. I was supposed to do squat rack legs, but I just don't look foward to doing that. I don't feel like I am getting a good workout. My core gets worked but I don't feel anything in my legs. I just feel compromised with the heavy weight on my back.

Sorry this is a complaining post. Not really in a good mood. :(

Hi Chrissy and all to follow!

I did Plyo legs week 4, and then stability ball abs. It was good. I am not planning on doing the squat rack legs week 4 on Saturday, I will just do plyo week 4 one more time instead. I'm not sure if it's water retention (which I don't usually have, but my hormones have been all over the place) or if it's the squat rack legs, but I feel very bulky all of a sudden and don't like it at all!!!! So I'm really looking forward to doing some good runs the next few days and for recovery week, and then get into some circuit workouts with lighter weights. I enjoy the feeling of being able to lift heavy, but I don't like the bulk it has added, so I don't know if I'm going to do meso 3 again next time around. We'll see.

Sorry you are not in a good mood, Chrissy, I can totally relate. Bad food readily available is a huge downfall for me and I would be super frustrated as well. I'm not sure what to tell you to make you feel better, but I have decided that my family is just going to have to deal with me not buying them their snack foods, right now, if they are there, they are just too hard for me to resist, so they are going on a forced clean diet....LOL! Not that they don't like the clean food, but they do like to snack on other stuff as well. But that's just too bad, I say...

Ok, I have to go do the ironing, vacuming and mopping and then I have to pack, we are leaving for San Diego tomorrow morning right after disk 36 and shower.

Wow we are on the second page...I have never seen that before. We really are a skeleton crew.

I know everyone is on vacation but the only excuse I have is work. I don't really have too much time tonight either. Today was plyo w4, same as you Cendrine, and I loved this one too. It was alot of fun and very challenging. I was already worn out by the time I got to the half turn jumps so I just had to hunker down and think. I can do anything for 30 secs. That worked for the first set but there was no convincing myself for the second set:eek::eek:. I am starting to really realize that it is almost over...for the first time anyway.
I really got some real results. I am really surprised because I did not really know what to expect since before sts I just used cathe mainly for cardio. Now I don't think I will ever be able to lift on my own again!

Chrissy-I am sorry you had a bad eats weekend. Like Cendrine I don't know what to say to make you feel better. It happens to all of us. We are all just chugging along in a good place thinking we finally got this clean eating thing down to a science and then all of the sudden we wake up from this trance and realize we have already ate the whole bag of whatever...It is something I have had to struggle with for so long. Then I will kick my butt for the next week and then the more I am kicking my butt the more depressed I get and then the more I fail at eating clean! Such a damn vicious cycle. I know I will get back on track again just to probably fall off again. I think this is just a fact of life but I think that as long as I am eating good 80% of the time maybe I can stave off the obesity that has plagued my whole family. So I guess what I am saying is know that you are not alone and feel free to post about it so at least you can get it off your chest. Maybe it will help you get those negative vibes out alittle.

Cendrine-I do have cardio and weights but I just recently got it when I got KPC and IMAX2 and so I have only done the cardio portion. I was wondering also about how you incorporate circuit workouts into your workout week. Do you do them in place of a weight day and still do cardio the other three days or what. And what about dvds like Muscle Endurance or pub and plb. How do you incorporate these into a workout week when normally I would split the body up into three days? I am new to working out with weights and videos but I like the push they give me.

I have to go try to get ready for bed.

Well I'm home again:D The cottage was fun as usual; the dock broke apart, the lawn mower wouldn't start, the boat is leaking oil.:rolleyes: We did get some waterskiing and swimming in. We came home early Sunday and I did get Imax 2 done and then it was off to see the Jonas brothers!

Now, what can I say about the concert. There was 16,000 girls between the ages of 5-15 and they all can scream!:rolleyes: My dd looked shellshocked the whole time but did say that she really enjoyed it. Hopefully I can hear again soon;)

After being outside all weekend and then up late at the concert, I went to watch the news after work and fell asleep on the couch! But I'm up now and doing disc 39 and typing on the long breaks:cool::cool:

Cendrine Have a great time in San Diego!! That's too bad that you live so far away from your twin. My sisters and I spend a ton of time together.

Rachael Doing one of Cathe's rotations is a good excuse to buy the dvds that you don't have for that month:D I'm glad to hear that you're noticing good results from the STS series! I really enjoy kickboxing for recovery weeks! It feels good with tight muscles and so nice not to bother with equipment.

Chrissy I'm sharing the same sentiments as you for the squat rack workouts. I feel it in the core more than the legs. You have to be so focused on the form that I'm not sure if I'm doing much for the legs. I'll finish the series to see what results I get. I'm sorry that your having a frustrating day! We always have way too many treats at the lake on the weekends, it's just such a vacation way of thinking and such a hard habit to break.

Julie I'm glad to see you posting. Hope everything is going okay.

Hey Rachel,

the way I usually rotate circuit workouts into my workout weeks is this way. I either do three different Total body circuit workouts say Mo, We, and Fr and then do cardio the other 3 days with one day off. Or I will do say, four day split, one cardio and one total body circuit for a total of six workouts. Since you have pub and plw you could do a total body circuit, cardio, pub, cardio, plb, cardio. The muscle endurance I use as a total body on a weight day and cardio the next day, followed by more circuits or other weights. I hope that helps!

Hi Kim, sorry about all the mishaps at the lake... but it seems like you didn't let it stop you from having fun! I think when dd is old enough for concerts, I'll bring earplugs...LOL! Do you have your hearing back yet? I have a huge wish list for cathe workouts. I should have bought in bundles when I started, because now I miss some from each series and have to buy them individually when I could have got them cheaper before as a bundle. And of course I used my coupon discount when i really didn't need anything, and had to wait to make up my mind to want more dvds even though I don't need them until after the coupon expires... But I noticed there is a 27 dvd discount bundle, it has all the oldies in it, and I don't have a single one of those. Do you guys think it's worth it to get all the before 2000 released ones? I want them, and my inlaws always give me a nice check for my birthday, but 27 seems so crazy, except I am seriously thinking about it.... it comes out to 13.- per title, wich is way better than 26.-, for sure. How long would it take me to get used to all of them, I wonder...
Sorry, just rambling here. I'm not sure if I'm going to have the opportunity to check in while I'm gone, if not, I will check in again on Friday. I packed my Cardio Coach for the hotel gym, planning on hitting the treadmill ealry each day.

Night for now!
