My workout area is cleaned out and ready to go. My goal is to get all three wo in a week with probably just walking as cardio but we'll see. I expect everyone to yell at me if I don't keep up. I really need to get in better shape.

The funeral food didn't help the diet but it was good. I also plan to start diet Monday. Of course we have to have Father's day food Sunday. Especially since all my baby (?) boys will be home.

Heading to bed, funeral and travel wore me out.

I've printed the first 3 wo cards so I'm ready. I think I will weigh in the morning but measure tonight.

I hope I remember to wear GWF armband tomorrow.

Good morning, Y'All!

My boys are still here, so no video workouts this week. Got in a lot of walking over the weekend, though, and maybe some more today, plus some light housework.

Did any of you who are starting STS do any re-tests for your one-rep maxes, or are you going with the numbers you had previously? I am thinking about re-testing, since it has been a while. Maybe I can sneak in some of that this week in preparation.

I did not retest for the STS like I had planned. I used my last charts as a guide and I have to say.......I am weak!!! I am wondering if skipping Meso 1 is a good idea. Joan how did you do?

HI all!

I did a couple of exercises 1RM tests I thought maybe had changed after looking over my list needed for Meso 2. I am weaker.

I finished Disc 13 and I am so feeling it!! So I think I am spot on with my weights.

Beth - I had been doing CLX burn and push phases for months prior, plus lifting, towing and pushing in the yard helped. :)

Cardio tomorrow maybe be a Treadmill wo for me. My shoulders certainly are not going to want to lift a thing and my chest even is a little tight. I am feeling it.... whoooowhee!!
 
Yes- mine will be too Jann! I guess I have mostly been spinning and cardio lately because I really did not maintain my strength. It should come back though!
 
Good morning, Y'all!

We took the boys to Sagamore Hill (home of Teddy Roosevelt--it's near here) yesterday and got in a really good walk touring the grounds. I think my grandson really loved it. I'm hoping I can get him interested in US History. From his reaction, I don't think it will be a problem.

Since I have not been using very heavy weights for a while, I think I am going to use my former numbers as a starting point and re-test. I am also considering just starting with Disc 1. I'll be a little more than a month behind the rest of you, but I just think it's best for me this time around. I am not looking forward to all those push ups, but I probably need to do them, anyway. It's like I always tell myself--it only hurts for a little while! :eek: lol!

Good afternoon,

Chris left yesterday afternoon and I went to bed early. I did disc 13 this morning. I went 2 weights down from previous for 12 reps. I then either kept it the same if it was the right weight or went next weight up for 10 and 8 reps. I don't think I need to redo 1 rep max because this seemed to work. I probably went a little light (although it doesn't seem like it) but I would rather be careful. It might be better to do meso 2 twice but I bet by the time we finish 2 and 3 the new series will be here.

I lost more strength that I thought I would. Why do I stop lifting when I feel good when I lift?

I have another 2 hour test tomorrow morning, dm therapy and then babysit from 3:30 until 5:30. If I feel like it I may do legs tonight. If not it might be Thursday. I would also like to get some walking in today.

Good Afternoon,

It sounds like we are all on the same page with the weights. My hands hurt today and I don't know if it is from holding dumbells or pushups in trx on Saturday. I did spinning today for cardio and I am going to do legs as well Joan- I don't think they take that long!!

Joan- what is the test and what is dm therapy? Sounds like not fun:(

Magnolia- I loved taking my boys to all of those kinds of places when they were little and not so little! I started enjoying history then!

Jann- how are your shoulders?
 
The test is another one for Crohn's disease.

I am taking my mother to therapy. She took her stockings off because they hurt her toes. I then wrapped her legs thinking that would work while we were in Ill for the funeral. It would have worked but she took them off. Monday her legs were about 5 inches bigger. We have to start therapy all over again.

After babysitting this afternoon and doing the wash and a little cleaning I didn't feel like getting legs in tonight. I don't think it will be a problem to do legs on Thursday and Back and biceps on Friday.

Good morning,

Off to testing in a minute. I did get 1.9 miles of walking in yesterday.

Considering all the places I'm sore, I think I used the right weights. I will see how quickly I up them.

Joan, I hope they are able to give you some answers with your test. Sorry about your mom.

Beth, My left shoulder is still bothering me a bit today. I am trying to loosen it up with stretches.

Finished Disc 14 -- legs. I am glad it was short! :D I had to lower my weight the 3rd set on some of the exercises. gesh.:confused:
 
the good LORD did send us some rain last nite. about 1 1/2" which we are very thankful for, just need waaaay more.
been working at the equine vet clinic this week, only worked out on monday. too physically exhausted with the work and the heat. so, hope to do back up tomorrow.
praying for more rain tonite.
 
Treadmill for 30 minutes the morning. I moved disc 15 to Saturday. Taking DS and Dil to buy buy baby tomorrow morning. It's about a hour drive from here. I am buying them a crib. :D:D:D

Cathy I'd like to send you some of our rain. But my flowers have never looked better.

Weather is great here. I'm trying to talk myself into mowing the grass.

Will check in again after I do legs.

today was back up & allie's webvideo shoulder's and lower body. love it. g/kids this weekend, so most likely no workout. i will consider this a rest week i guess, since i only officially worked out twice.

My boys are on their way back home. I started missing them about the time we left them at the airport. :(

I thought I would retest for 1rm, but my numbers were coming up pretty close to the ones I already had. I decided I would just go with what I have and adjust as I go along. I can't understand why--it's been a while since I have lifted heavy. I am easing into better food choices and planning to clean out the refrigerator asap.

I'm doing Disc 1 on Sunday afternoon. DH needs my help at work on Monday, so I'm going with him that day.

i did work at the vet clinic in the heat for 3 days, and then g/kids spent the nite thursday and friday. rode horses fri morn, played in the little bit of water in the creek, swam fri and sat afternoon. so, i only worked out twice, but not a lot of rest. the rain was wonderful. we are still praying for more. we are so far behind in our rainfall. if your on facebook ya gotta go look at the pics of the kids in the creek. so cute

oh, and i forgot , i did do super charged sculpting & 15m of maximum cardio this aftern
