50 and over week of January 3 check in

Beth roll all the way to the top of this page -- see the black bar -- select Cathe Fun.(3rd from right) You can put your disc's in manually or select the box from the workout manager's calendar.(If you have downloaded the rotation into your calendar) Select to "Insert into your Cathe Forum Signature" - Update and it will put the tracker into your Signature. If you need to edit your Signature goto User CP in the blue bar midpage and select edit signature from the left side of the page. hth's!

I did it. The only thing is, it would not let me import- even though my calendar says disc one, when I tried to import it said disc 19:eek:
 
You are welcome.
Go back into Cathe Fun and manually select Disc 1 workout 1 or what ever you want it to say then hit update. It should change it and be correct from then on.
Sometimes after you select that you have completed a disc it takes it a while to make its way to you sig.. :rolleyes: It will eventually change.

We just got home and unloaded the car. It'll probably take me the rest of the week to do all that laundry!

Beth, what a great picture. Guess I'll have to post one of myself.

Spoke to my son today. He was upbeat. They did the test this morning. I don't know how long the results will take, but my son will let us know as soon as he can, I am sure. I am just relieved that she is in good hands. Thanks, everyone, for your prayers. I really appreciate the support.

Well, tomorrow is jet lag, grocery store, & unpack day. Then I am starting some rotation Thursday, I suppose. I refuse to weigh. I really enjoyed my favorites at home, so guess I'll have to get busy now to reverse the damages. I can do it. I am considering doing some STS & Shock Cardio. I may have to break it up and start over later, but need to do something substantial & like being part of whatever our community is doing.

I have my minor surgery today to have these stupid mole's removed. The shaved results came back, A typical and at least one of them is A typical/basel cells they tested. With my history of cancer they are not leaving anything to chance. I am not sure how many he is going to have to remove today. I plan to get my workout disc 2 in before I leave. Hopefully I can jump back in to working out quickly :confused:

I did Disc #2 this morning. I'm going to need to go up on some of the weights. I have been conservative on the weights for this week so I don't strain any muscles.

Jann - Hope your minor surgery goes well. Doesn't sound like fun.

Magnolia - Welcome home!

Tomorrow my husband is having surgery to repair his right rotator cuff so I will be spending most of the day at the hospital. I hope to get my cardio workout done when we get back home.

Jann. I have had my share of those (living in Florida).. In my experience, if it is a basal, it isn't too bad- you'll be working out later..

Magnolia, Glad things are looking up for your son and DIL- Welcome back!

Linda, good luck tomorrow with DH. And way to go on those weights! Are you going to change your weights on the editing place on the calendar? I am still not so sure it does any good.

I managed to get disc 2 done before I had to leave. My triceps are talking to me! :D

The surgen only had to remove the two I had checked by the skin doc. He checked me over pretty good. He said we caught the one under my arm in time it was just "trying" to be melanoma :confused: it was A typical. The one on my back was A typical and Basal cell combo (not common) with my history it's a good idea to have it removed. I have about 5 or 6 stitches in each place. He said I could return to weights on Friday. :D He would have results next week when I go back to have stitches removed.

Beth have you had a lot of moles removed? He told me I should be checked every 6 months??? :eek::confused:

Linda sending well vibes for your DH! Do you have a good book?

Jann, glad everything went okay. Growing up in the sun belt, I had heard that we ought to keep a close watch on moles. I have numerous ones on my legs, but they don't seem to change at all. It's probably a very good idea to keep watch on the situation.

Well, not really a workout today. Just lots to do. We have some food, anyway. I really hate going to the grocery store. It's my least favorite thing. But I do love to cook, so I have to. I find that having most of our meals at home saves money and I know exactly what we're eating. Always a good plan.

Tomorrow, I'm planning to start out a little slower, since I've missed a lot of workout time. I'm ready, though!

Heard nothing from my son today. No news is good news. Hopefully, we will know something soon.

Hi Linda, Beth, Jann, Magnolia and Cathy,

I think I gained 10lbs in the last week. I won't weigh until Monday. Maybe some of it is just water weight. I'm disgusted because I had already gained back what I had lost last year and now this extra 10lbs. After posting I will enter the sts/cardio rotation to join in with everyone. I know it helps me to be doing this with all of you. I will either try to catch up tomorrow or just start on what ever is scheduled for the day. I use the 1rm but update as I go along. I probably will use my old #'s because it has been a while since I lifted.

Magnolia and Linda, You are both in my prayers and thoughts.

My mother has finished her radiation and only has a follow up appt Jan 11 for her burns and April appt with the surgeon.

We got in about 7pm and it had just started to snow. We were told we could have up to 8 inches in places. Let's hope they are wrong.

hey all, well, i did shock cardio circuit blast today. and , it was not as hard as i thought it was gonna be. nice change to not die from one of cathe's workouts.

i love tracies' new workouts, i am kinda doing the rotation she made for all of hers, but, will add in shock cardio as i can.

man, i can't believe it, it is gonna be bad cold here the next few days. of course, cold is realative, :) since some friends just drove in from winnipeg, where it was -31. AAGGHH! can't even imagine. but, for here 19' is very cold. and that is what is what it is gonna be here a couple nites. YUCK!! tomorrow cold and windy. then, cold for several days.

no fair that we have the summers we have down here and then have to have cold winters. we wait for winter down here when usually it is like 40's-70's. this 10 and 20 stuff is for the birds.

Welcome Back Joan! Did you win big again this year? :D I am so ready to lose some weight -- Let's do this!! I purchased a diet assistant program for my PC instead of Cathe's and started journaling on Monday. It's Wednesday and so far so good. The past is the past lets move forward! Step by step or 10,000 steps a day if possible - ;)
 
Hey Cathy -- we had wind chills of -6 here last week. cold, cold, cold!! :D
I am going to insert some of Tracie's new ones in place of some of the Shock cardio's. I think I may get a bit tired of the same cardio's for the 3 months. :) I really like Tracie's new ones too!
 
Shock Cardio

Good morning!!

Let me tell you about my shock cardio this morning. First the shock.. Inspired by Joan's comment, I decided to get on the scale- something I had been avoiding since I kept hearing "forget the scale= go by how you feel" well... I also gained about 10 pounds since November:( (Lesson learned: keep up with the scale)

So then I did my 15 min of HIIT before I ate (per conquer the fat)- ate 7 egg whites and some salsa- then did MMA Boxing.

The Boxing tape was great- but I did stop it at one point and put on the weighted gloves to get my HR up there. The ABS at the end were great!!

Total calories 616

Come on Ladies!!! We can do this!!!
 
Hi ladies,

I just put my GWF armband on and am now going to shovel snow. I did weigh in, I couldn't wait until Monday. The good new is I only gained 5lbs, the bad news is I gained 5 lbs. I don't think I have ever been this heavy.

Yes I'm in on the weight loss Beth and Jann. I must lose this time.

Beth it is amazing how fast the weight just sneaks on! :mad: High-Five on burning 616 calories - woohoo!!

I started MMA boxing and could not do it. :( The stitches under my arm are pulling to much. So I jumped on the treadmill :D I may go back and do some ab work!!
I've been trying to eat after I workout also. It seems to help me burn off more calories.
