50 and over month of July check in

I'm starting to declutter my house. For the last 2 weeks I have gotten rid of 10 things a week. If I buy anything new I want to get rid of the same # of items. It never works to try to do everything at once so I'm trying to do a little at a time. I may try to do the same with exercise.

I did power max yesterday in addition to my treadmill. I just grabbed a dvd because I wanted to do something. I am terrible at step so Cathe and I looked nothing alike but I did keep moving the whole time.

Sunday I was up .6lb and today I am down 2lbs. I like Monday's better. If I keep the 172.8lb I am a head of schedule at my 1/2lb per week.

Any plans for the 4th?

Checking in -- yay --- I did cross fire! Well, I modified A LOT and only did the first 3 segments but, yay!! I really liked it and am challenging myself to be able to as it!! A year ago I could have and that makes me sad! :mad:

Joan -- yay for you!! Keep moving!! My dh promised he would throw out 5 things a week, it didn't last long. He is such a pack rat!! Good luck! Congrats on the weight loss!!

I am still holding at 5 pounds :eek: I am OK with that for now.

Jann I would love to lose 5lb fast and then stay steady for a while. I'm doing it 1/2lb at a time so it seems soooooo much slower. But I'm happy so far. I'm down about 5lb also.

I'm going to give crossfire a chance it seemed different.

I had a car accident about an hour ago. I was pulling out of a parking space and hit a car. They must have been going pretty fast because I didn't see them before I began pulling out. I had a scrape on my bumper and they have $5000-6000 worth of damage. I guess that's why we have insurance.

My back hurt a little with the situps last night but now it hurts worse. I wonder if it was the accident?

Joan. So sorry about your accident. It happens. Glad you are ok!! I think you need a new DVD t feel better!!

Jann. I'm going to work on the crossfire too!! I is fun! I had some major DOMS today though. Went to a Yoga tonight at the gym Nd now I feel perfect!!

I did it I can check in again today -- :D I am loosely following July's rotation. Today was upper body trisets and abs.

Beth, I knew I was in trouble when I broke out in a sweat during the cross fire warm up -- :eek::eek::rolleyes: I can't wait to master that workout!

My shoulders are singing right now. yay!! :p
 
Good evening all,

Went to a cookout and ate too much. Not in volume but calories were bad for everything-potato salad, macaroni salad, etc.

I got on treadmill late but it was 99 degrees when I started and down to only 93 degrees by the time I stopped. We hit a record 105 degrees today.

No dvd yet. I shouldn't have paid for expedited shipment when there was a holiday in the week. I hope I have it tomorrow.

Yea I got Cross fire today. I don't think I will try it until back is completely healed. I am already planning modifications. I previewed the whole disc tonight. There is a lot more jumping than I thought but I'm still glad I got it.

Joan - To the Max has a lot of jumping in it. The step part was nice and the weight part at the end was nice. The step tabata and hitt was all jumping. :( I was able to modify though. Step ups, not using the step at all, low jacks etc.
Cross fire I think may be doable for me once I get back into shape. My knees are bothering me and they never did before!
 
Jann, I didn't get To the Max for that reason. I have so many step dvd's that I don't use anyway. I think I can do some of the jumping jacks if I do them upstairs and not on basement floor. It is carpeted but it is still a concrete floor. I've always done static lunges instead of any other kind because of my knees. I think I will do those instead of the scissors.

It seems sad that I have only worked up to doing an average of 7200 steps a day. At least that is 4000 more than I was doing. It so easy to get over 10000 steps on vacation but I just don't move much when I am working.

I better go get my dm her breakfast.

Joan the only way I could get my 10,000 steps in was either on the treadmill or take Reggie for a long walk morning and evening... it's tough!

I did upper body trisets and 45 mins on the treadmill. I burned 450 calories!! It's so hot my ponytail was dripping sweat onto my back!! :eek:
 
I cleaned out my cookies or something and the computer got rid of my password. It has been so long ssince I entered it that I almost got locked out of the site:(

Jann- I modicatied to the max by using just the step top. I love the jumping jacks wth the band

Joan- Just put it on, follow along and do everything non impact the first time through. Before you know it youll be umping again,

10,000 steps is veery hard but I think you should get comped for the exercise pasrt which doesnt really register as a step!
 
Beth -- I have to keep a little notebook now with my passwords for sites like this :eek: I use to have a system but that no longer works. :rolleyes: After being hacked -- it just made it easier. :rolleyes:
 
Jann I have my notebook too. I have different passwords for each site. The nutrisystem phone operators will actually tell you what your password is. Some people were horrified because they use the same password for everything.

I will try to get hair colored next week. It's just too dark. I tried but I just don't like the look. I think that's why I started coloring it in my 20's.
