40's - week of June 12, really? Time flies

Today was STS Meso 2 Back/Bi. I get bored with UB w/o's so thought why not throw some STS in even without doing the program.

DH is not do any w/o (not that he ever does much), he's still SORE ! I admit, I've noticed since turning 46 it's getting even tougher to recover from a big workout like a 9 mile hike.

Hi girls! Took a rest day yesterday, I did end up doing 3 miles on the TM on Fri. night. Today I did Rumble from Amy. Kind of gloomy here today, not sure what we will be up to. Lisa, 9 miles is a long hike! That sounds like 3 days of workouts to me! Hi to all that follow! Mary

Good Afternoon,

Later I will do some kind of stretching, Sundays are usually my rest days. DH and I might go for a bike ride later wanted to last night but SIL left to late.

Hi everyone

Lisa - the hike sounded great! What a lovely place. I think I'd be hurting for a few days after that.

Mary - what do you think of Rumble? I've not bought that one.

Hi Roxie!

Sat, I did yoga and yesterday I did CTX Power Circuit. I've decided to go through CTX this week as I've never done it as is all the way through.
It was DD's school summer fair yesterday. It rained all day non-stop! A bit of a washout!

Good Morning,

Tonite for me will be KCMs 30mins to Wts. its going to be to hot to take the dog for a walk and we got just enough rain to make it nice and muggy.

Hi girls! Today I did Bob Harper, cardio something or other, it was pretty challenging, lots of jumping, which I don't care for too much! Ronne, I really like Rumble, not complicated, just lots of punching and kicking. Simple and to the point. I have never done CTX as laid out either, I should give it a try one day. Roxie, are you feeling better? Lisa, what are you up to today? Murphy, you still out there? Kids went to a friend's house, I am going to enjoy the quiet for a bit! Mary

Mary-still fighting the dizzys but my nose isn't running as much and the pressure is gone. I still have 2 more days of antibiotics so we will see what happens.

Hi all, I am here. It has been a bit crazy at work but I guess that is a good thing. Anyway, it was nice out, not too hot or windy, so I went for a powerwalk. It felt good. I did slightly less than 2miles. Sorry for the lack of personals. Hi to all.

Lisa - I agree with Mary, 9 miles is a long hike. Unless of course it is 9 miles over a week or a month or a year.... :)

Murphy

Gotta make it quick today. Murphy's work started raining down on me here too. It irritates me how I can be so bored one day and so busy the next. I did STS Ch/Sh....saving triceps for tomorrow and then me and my friend will do another hike. If our old friend (62 yrs) doesn't go it may be another long one.

Sorry, no time for personals :(

Good Evening,

Tonite I did KCMs 30mn to Wts. Legs, Chest and Back and there was some standing core work so I got my abs worked to.

Hi everyone

Yesterday was CTX Step Intervals and today All Step. Enjoying working through CTX. When I got it a few months ago, I found it really tough but I think after the recent series it doesn't seem quite so difficult.
The weather has finally perked up a bit - warm and sunny today. Keeping my fingers crossed it will stay.

Lisa - hope the work is going OK.

Mary - so how are you keeping the kids occupied now you're on holidays?

Hi Murphy and Roxie!

Good Morning,

Its alot cooler here today it hit 102 yesterday. Today is a cardio day and I am hoping DH and I go for a bike ride if not then it will be a dog walk and maybe KCMs Plyo Blast.

Ronne-I have never been able to get into those workouts.

Hi girls, no workout today. I am under the weather today. Hopefully tomorrow things will be better. Hope all is well with all, talk to you tomorrow. Mary

Good Evening,

Tonite DH and I went for a 9.5 mile bike ride, and we really need to get some gel seats I forget how uncomfortable they are.

Mary-hope you get to feeling better soon.

Hi everyone, so work was soooo bad yesterday I decided to take the WHOLE day off instead of just a half day. So I slept in, ah, then got up, did MMA Boxing heavy bag bonus, the triceps from STS meso 2, then some abs, then went to my friends for a hike. We hiked 11 miles! I'm plum tuckered out and I have a sneaky feeling that I'll be taking a rest day tomorrow! Back to the real world tomorrow, hope the mess isn't waiting for me (it probably is).

Mary, hope you feel better, even in your post I could tell you didn't feel well.

Ronne, nothing like some of Cathe's tougher workouts to make you feel accomplished when you get to an easy one. I pleasant surprise, enjoy!

Roxie, 102 is HOT! I dislike biking, I don't think my bum every gets used to it. Seeing these mountain bikers on these trails we've been hiking looks like fun, but I'm afraid I might end up in a ravine. Nor do I think I could go uphill for long, then the bike is like a boat anchor as you walk it up hill. :)

Murphy, how's work? Do you get it in bits and spurts? that drives me crazy, especially in my line of work, uh, you couldn't plan ahead? a novel idea...

goodnight ladies, I hope my sore body doesn't keep me awake, I think I'm hitting the benadryl, the allergies were awful I was almost wheezing a bit sometimes and my throat is swelled up from the drainage

Ladies I need some of your opinions I have been considering STS but don't know if I want to make that big of and investment so what do you think will I like the workouts?

Hi everyone

Lisa - sounds like you had a great day yesterday. Are you feeling like it today?!

Mary - you sound really off - hope you're feeling better soon.

Roxie - no help here. I haven't got STS. I've been wondering about buying it for ages. I never quite make up my mind to go for it!

Today was 10 10 10. I think that's the toughest one of the CTX. The cardio is pretty tough and my triceps got a good workout.
I just ordered a set of Tracy Anderson DVDs off Ebay on impulse. I know she's quite controversial - people love her or hate her. Anyway the 3 DVD set was cheap so I thought I'd give it a go. I'll let you know when I get it.

A great night's sleep, the benadryl must have knocked me out (and dried me up). so thirsty, either from the hot hike yesterday or the benadryl. Not too sore (my triceps are more sore from STS workout), just a nice, I worked my body feeling. Honestly these allergies are the worst part, they make me feel sick almost. So, yea, a rest day for me!

Roxie, It depends if you like weights. I think it's a great dvd program. Saying that I'm trying to learn to not only use the program as designed but to throw in a STS workout here and there (like I did this week). Sometimes doing the program as a whole gets, yawn, boring for me. Meso2 is my favorite, then Meso1 (wish there weren't so many pushups). I don't ever do Meso3. Plyo legs are good (go light) but I don't reach for them much, they have a bit of a dread factor for me. HTH, let us know what you decide

Hi girls! Well, back to myself today, thank goodness! I have a bladder infection and it really knocked me a loop yesterday. Anyway today did Jari S&L, simple and to the point! Lisa, Holy Cow! You did a lot yesterday! And you have hiked 20 miles in just a few days! Roxie, I really enjoyed Meso 2 a lot. Meso 1 is A LOT of push ups and moves rather quickly, Meso 3 is heavy and slow, except for the legs, ( well, there is squat rack legs). Having done it, personally, I would just get Meso 2. I really liked it a lot. Ronne, I have her Mat workout. Totally different from Cathe, I have read a lot of people get results from her. Murphy, how are you? Well, need to go mow! Mary
