40's tis the season

I did a w/o after all ! PUB, and I increased my weights for ch/ba and overhead press for tri....15/20/25/20/15, wowzer! I didn't do the abs but did the MMA fusion core cond drills there (that way I can move it to the bottom of the pile again, I don't really like that w/o besides the core drills).

Roxie, I guess it depends on how coarse your hair is, I haven't (and I can't believe I will admit this publicly) shaved my legs in about 3 mths and that's pretty typical for me (shame on me), my hair is fine though and blondish on my legs so you can't really see (unless the light is hitting it a certain way) or even feel it. I'm trying to think of some waay to adjust my pillows, I've always had a hard time sleeping on my right side, feels like my shoulder is being jammed into me, left side is fine. It's weird, I'm weird.

Mary, yes a whole electric blanket gets too warm, my heating pad warms it up just enough if it's especially cold, especially if I get up in the middle of the night to take a valarian or something, I get back to bed and I'm freezing, on goes the heating pad :) It does have an automatic off, just in case.

Lisa, yes mid 80s and very pretty this week. No electric blankets or flannel sheets for us. If you were here, I'd send your hubby to my holistic energy magic guy, he's got powerful mojo and helped a friend with his tinnitus (gone). When I met him, he gave me a shot of energy work, it was like lava flowing from him thru my hand and it almost knocked me over. Hard to explain, but he's seems to be Connected. Anyhoo, I hope your guy feels better.

Re boys, I just don't have time to sample a lot. This guy was very nice but just not right for me, no edge. Sigh, I have to call him. But, I do have a crush on this other guy, a biz owner where I go, who I also found, coincidentally, on my dating site. Now I have to see if there is something I can do with that. There is just something I like about him. Like, mmmrrrrreoooow. In the meantime, I just find reason to go into his store.

I went for 3 mile walk today, quads still sore from CF? I'll do something good tomorrow. Oh and finally watched Survivor final- yea Denise won! I love watching that show with my girls, anyone else watch? They need to have an all geezer season, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

Hello

Jody - weather sounds lovely! Oh well, plenty more fish in the sea - biz guy sounds good! So are you at home with your girls for Christmas?

Lisa - well, I have a confession to make. I've never shaved my legs in my life! I'm not particularly hairy and I just never started. Glad I didn't actually. You're really banging out the weights at the moment. Hope you get things sorted for next week. What a pain not knowing!

Mary - as long as they're happy then that's fine. I've got DD a fleece as well! Are you all sorted now?

Roxie - hang in there!

Did a KCM CB premix today - 45 mins. I was pretty tired by the end of it. DD is going to a school disco tonight so DH and I are going out for a curry!! Winding down for Christmas now, I've had enough of work and organisation and just want to play!

Hi girls! Did a Violet Zaki one today, legs and upper body are sore, needed something on the light side. Ronne, they didn't ask for the blankets, they go to bed dressed for a blizzard so I hope this is something they will like! I don't want to admit I have never tried curry! Jody, crushes are so fun! We don't watch survivor, we did watch Amazing Race, that was fun. Lisa, you and DH should go to Florida to try Jody's guy out! Roxie, hope your day is going ok, is boss man staying home? Hi Murphy! Well, I will admit I shave every day, can't stand that stubbly feel, so funny how we are all so different! Well, more running, teacher gifts, etc! Have a good day! Mary

Good Morning,

DH bought us new phones yesterday it is taking some getting us to. Tonite for me before the snowstorm hits will be CLX Lean Circuit 2 then I really need to start holiday baking.

Mary-boss should have stayed home he can't hardly move today and so far my day has been good.

Ronne-I am trying to hang in there.

LBB done today. It's snowing outside, pretty since I don't have to go out in it!

Ronne, it must be my German lineage that has me not shaving :) I've never had curry either. Those Pho restaurants are pretty popular with the younger gen, DH wants to try one of those.

Mary, poor kids, maybe you should have them one of those heavy onsies they have as babies :)

Jody, DH has had tinnutis off and on over the years, I guess that inner ear has finally given out. I tried out his hearing aid, my left ear did not like the sound from the right being routed over to it. I only had it on for 5 min and when I took it off my left ear had a funny feeling. It's amazing how the brain interacts with the body. I watch a lot of those reality shows, and yes, glad Denise won. I just didn't get into Lisa, don't know why she was the fan favorite.

Roxie, hope you don't have a headache today!

Roxie, hope you don't have a headache today!

Lisa-I have a slight headache but my nose is stuffy and runny I can't wait for some rain or snow to calm my allergies down but I think some of it might be a cold.

Lisa, I didn't know Lisa was a fan fave? We loved Malcom and Denise from the beginning. As it turned out, if he'd stuck w/ Denise, I bet he would have won. Snow? sounds pretty.

Roxie, boss came in with all those broken ribs? He's had a lot of illness and injury since I've known you. Can't believe you can get to holiday baking along with packing, etc.

Murphy, I meant to tell you that I would probably be watching the clips over and over if I had pre ordered. Now- I don't want to know about them, just focus on getting something/anything done from current w/o collection. And the more familiar it is the better -for now.

Mary, I like Amazing Race, too but didn't catch most of it. Survivor has become sort of a family tradition since all three of us like to view it together. Re cold weather wear, girls wear scarves, tank tops, shorts and boots at school. We are not gonna let a little warm weather keep us from seasonal wear.

Ronne, I agree, crushes are fun idea, but I don't have the follow thru right now. I think I just need to put it out to the Universe, something good will happen, in the right time. But for now will stalk the one guy, lol. Your family time always sounds so cozy.

I did AB 30 min premix~~

Jody-I have given up on packing waiting on DH to make a decision about when we are going to move and finding us a place to live we need somewhere to go with all the boxes and I am having my family christmas at my house on Dec 29th and there is no room for people and boxes.

Roxie, I'm having Christmas on Dec 29th too! My BFF thinks I'm crazy not demanding the kids be here on Christmas Day and DH and I going out for dinner on Christmas. So crazy she invited me to her house. Maybe I "get it" because after I married and moved away I rarely was at my parents house for Christmas(mostly because they were 2000 miles away) and hardly at DH's Dad's for the messy unorganized chaos.

Jody, Yes Lisa won the $100,000 fan favorite vote, Malcolm was a VERY close second, poor guy!

Hi all

Lisa - I'm glad there are other non-shavers out there! It sounds nice going out for a meal with your DH on Christmas Day. And then you get to have fun with your family as well. I hope I'll be as relaxed as you with DD when she's older. I don't want to pressure her into coming here for Christmas if she wants to do other things. (I'll try and go away instead!)

Roxie - oof, new phones. We've just had a family upgrade, DH got a new one, passed the old one to DD and then hers to me (note the order ;)). DH's new one didn't work properly and has had to be replaced and I managed to mess up my SIM card and had to get a new one!

Mary - the onesie is a great suggestion. We've got one for DD for Christmas. She is permanently cold as well!

Jody - well done on the workout!

Did MM Timesaver Premix. That may be my last workout for the year. I've decided to take the day off tomorrow as work is getting quiet. No point just sitting at my desk for the heck of it. We're heading up north this weekend and then my parents arrive on Monday so that will be it for workouts. I may get some yoga in tomorrow if time.

Hi girls! Today just did the TM. The dog is getting her Christmas hair do, I have to shop, DD has her band concert tonite. Ronne, enjoy your family! Can't believe it's Christmas in 5 days! Lisa, did you get hammered with snow? It's heading our way tonite. Roxie, sounds like the boss should be at home. He needs to make sure he coughs and deep breathes or he will end up with pneumonia. Jody, my kids would be wearing shorts too, if we didn't make fun of them trying! Hope everyone has a good day! Mary

MMA Boxing done today. My body is sore everywhere I think especially the chest from upping the weights on PUB.

Ronne, You might not have to compromise with DD when she gets older, it seems the couples gravitate to the girls family. Sometimes I get bummed about it and my oldest DS said "that's just how it is Mom". I guess I was just an independent girl to insist we went to my parents all the time. Heck at 21, I packed up and moved 2000 miles away, kind of just like my Mom did. Yes I did notice the phone order, sounds familiar I know one year I gave DS my upgrade option and took his old phone.

Mary, not too much snow, I'm wondering if Roxie got hammered? I know Nebraska isn't looking too good (and the eastern interstate out of CO to KS was closed yesterday). LOL on the dog's hair do :) What we do for our pets. Enjoy the band concert, brings back memories.

So, about Christmas dinner, called to make reservations at the place we wanted to go, no openings! I know it's late but I didn't realize it was that late! It is a restaurant in the historic Boulderado hotel where we got married too. So we are on the wait list. Couldn't really find anywhere that had openings AND the food type we wanted (kind of was wanting a good prime rib or something like that--something I don't make very well, I don't need turkey!) I finally found a place that has yummy Chateaubriand among other things. Meanwhile, DH has asked the restaurant to see if they find an opening as that is where we got married almost 27 yrs ago (nothing like putting the guilt trip on people to get what you want). They are predicting a white Christmas here (did I say that already?)

Ronne, my work is slow too, I'm working from home while still accessible to the computer in case something comes up while I do other things (kind of nice). Speaking of which I have to get that bathroom cleaned!

I've been meaning to ask, do I rattle on too much?

Good Morning,

We have 3" inches of snow with a layer of ice underneath it took me 3 attempts to get out of my driveway. Apparently my mind and body has decided they don't want to workout or bake this week so tonite I am going to have to overrule them and get something done.

Lisa-no you don't ramble to much. I learned a long time ago when I got married that you don't fight the mother-in-law she always threw a fit if we couldn't be there for christmas so my family usually suffered and I vowed never to put that kind of pressure on my kids when they got married I will work around whatever she wants to do.

Ronne-when DH wants a new laptop I always get the handme downs which turned out ok his is a piece of crap and mine works fine.

Mary-he came in today even with though the sidewalks are icy. Boss lady is begging me to stay.

Roxie, I never had a MIL so it's all new ground for me (DH's mother died of breast cancer when he was 16---that poor family lost their way I believe after that). Anyway, I've wondered about setting a precedent and then when the grandkids come I'll never see them at Xmas. But you know, the more I think of it, Xmas isn't a DAY (at least for me), what the grandkids will remember more is how awesome their grandma is :) At least the grand dog thinks I'm awesome (she sleeps right next to me and never anyone else, not even my DS or DIL).

Lisa-thats what I say as long as we can get together who cares what day its on. I forgot to mention I did shovelmax when I got to work so we could at least open the back and front door.

Hi all

Lisa - no, you don't go on too much! I love all the info! I have deliberately avoided having Christmas at my parents' house for 10 years. The stress is just too much! DH's parents are dead so we've never had that problem of choosing where to go.
Hope you get your first choice for Christmas Day. By the way, you made me laugh with your comment about Roxie getting hammered. That's a slang word for getting drunk here! It wouldn't surprise me if she was getting hammered with all the hassle!

Roxie - hope you're not too hammered!! Sounds like you're having a white Christmas. First one with GS as well - will you be seeing them on Christmas Day?

Mary - hope you got all your shopping done.

Probably going to do YR today and then that will be it. I just got sent a couple of work things but I can't be bothered. It can all wait till January now. I'm not working again till Jan 7th. DD and DH are off for all that time so it will be great. We're going to see a few friends as well, then at the beginning of Jan, it's my dad's 70th so the family is coming here (including brother in Spain) for a surprise.

Hope you all have a lovely Christmas and I look forward to hanging out with you all again in 2013! :)
