40's still falling 4 u

Haha Mary, you did turn 48, it just gets worse. It would have been funny if we would have been able to make up something real good. And I'm having soooooo much fun welcoming you to the 48 club!

I did the wu, chest, stretch from Amy's All-Pump Xtreme, I wasn't crazy about this one, the music is too loud and we did chest with no flys, I happen to like flys, also I subbed bench press for the weird 'falling' pushups.

Next I did the Triple Tabata premix from Cathe's Crossfire, Loved that! The premix is the low impact tabata, plyo tabata and the firewalker tabata. I don't do high impact so I subbed a lot of things {such as 'football feet' for tuck jumps} and I didn't use the bands.

Just finished TBT LB. This one went much faster. Well, it is 15 minutes shorter so I guess it should feel faster.

Mary - regarding being kicked out of the group in two years, I thought 50 was the new 40 (if not the new 30). I don't feel 40 at all (well, my body does some days but not my mind). Is there an adolescent (sp?) group? :)

I realllly need to workout- I'm all anxty. I missed yesterday's run due to running late since I forgot where/when I needed to be/pick up who/what. Today, I might get to speak w/ director of program about *possibly* clepping out of 1st year (someone explain that to Ronne, lol). Good vibes and warm fuzzies appreciated! I'll check back later if I have any good news to report (or workout), in meantime, great to see everyone.
ps, I hope I don't have an anxiety induced hotflash!

Hi all!

Woah, busy round here (never seen a black squirrel, or a red one for that matter and yes, once again I have no idea what Jody is talking about :p!)

Yoga day today - YM.

Lisa - poor thing, going back to work after hols is a drag. My DH always says he'd much rather stay at home than work: cleaning, cooking, pottering around!

Penguin - good workout! I've got Slo-Mo which I do bits of now and again but not that one. Her new Dropsets is on my wishlist.

Murphy - isn't 60 the new 40? Which makes us all about 25 I reckon!

Mary - come on, what did you get for your birthday? I want details!!

Not a great nights sleep, I woke up at 2:28, 3:28, 4:28, you get the idea. I was hoping I'd get to sleep late but I woke at 6something and couldn't get back to sleep. I woke up cold yesterday so I put an extra quilt on the bed but then didn't need it. Laundry and other chores for today. Today is Legs so I think I'll pick a STS Plyo Legs workout.

Age is all in your mind, or in this case the title, we can always change the title of the checkin to include all ages.

Ronne, I like Amy but haven't really liked any of her workouts. Her cardio is too fast for me and I just haven't like the weight workouts. But I'm still interested in Drop Sets.

Faith, I have no idea what clepping is either.

Good Afternoon,

I have been busy this morning. I couldn't get up to go to the gym this morning I finally got a good nights sleep so I didn't want to get up. I will go this evening and do the elliptical not up for the TM tonite.

Ronne and Penquin-I think she means either testing out or skipping 1st year.

Well this is a real kick in the teeth DH was just laid off his last day is Saturday, there was no way we saw this coming he has worked for the company for over 20 years.

Roxie, I'm so sorry! Thinking of you both. Today did TTM, less impact, short and sweet. Murphy, guess what they were talking about on the radio this morning? Black squirrels!! Immediately thought of you! Jody, hope that works out for you! Saves you time and money! Ronne, haha! I got a North Face jacket, flowers and a Halloween Longaberger basket. I really wanted that coat, so I am very psyched! Penguin, very frustrating when you can't sleep. Do you miss DH? Lisa, how is work treating you? I would love to be at home puttering all day, all the time! I hope I didn't forget anyone, have to go get the kids, have a nice day, Mary

I did STS Plyo Legs 32. I have a muscle in my calf that's still twitching, lol. I didn't like this when I did the rotation but I tried one again a few months ago and enjoyed it. Funny how our likes change.

Scuba, when Hubby is here I complain I can't sleep because he's snoring, but when he's not here I can't sleep either, especially on the first night. I'm a very light sleeper so I never sleep well anyway. {I finally caught on that you are Mary!}

Roxie, I'm very sorry to hear about your Hubby's job!

Roxie that is a total pisser.
No go on my fast pass. I didn't think she'd (the director and instructor for second year students) go for it, but my prof suggested it. The director was even more negative than I expected. Oh well, I knew this going in so nothing really changed. My current peer group goes to the the Li-Barry to study where they Axe each other questions.
Mary Happy late BD and I think the pressies sound wonderful.
I missed dance today cuz I forgot it had it (sorta like Run/TKD yesterday)
Roxie, its a total super pisser. Sorry.
And Lisa, I hope that the spot on your chest is nothing, however I can feel more empathy about the limbo anxiety you must feel on a semi regular basis. Can you just go into work and say, hey I'd like to have a shorter work week just because, well who the hell wouldn't?

Hi everyone, late posting. Let's see, didn't sleep good, but because I was thinking of good things at 2am (DS23 got a job offer for work he really wants to do at a different company, same pay, but he'll learn so much more), so slept in, didn't w/o this morning, had to get to work, then rude co-worker asks, "what's wrong with your face, what's on your cheek?", uh, " that's my SCAR from my cancer surgery!" co-worker: "it looks much worse, what happened"....I'm self conscience enough I don't need that, do I ask why you have a huge pimple on your chin? RUDE! So, I avoided her all day, maybe I'm too sensitive, but I know you can see these scars, it's not healing as fast as some, will see what derm says, but meanwhile I'm trying to live with it knowing it's the scars that prove I've lived this life, ya know? So, then my team lead was down at her desk crying on the phone, and everyone gets all what's wrong, I said "leave her alone, when she wants to tells us she will", what does RUDE co-worker do? She runs over to team leads desk as soon as she gets off phone while she's still crying to see what is wrong....I say to be nosey. Then team lead ends up leaving, walking out crying and then everyone else in the big room is like, what's wrong with her? WHY are people so nosey? I wanted to give her privacy (as much as we can working on top of each other). On the flip side, me and a couple other people cut up while mgr was out at mtg and got a good laugh when male co-worker, accidentally hit my shoulder with a dowel flying thru the air, I thought at first my bra strap had broke because of where it hit, I told him we started cracking up (we are all on headsets, texting each other), then another girl asked what we were laughing at, I told her and she started cracking up too. Like why would I think THAT, but I did and started wondering how I would recover my wardrobe! I got home and did end up doing UB and abs of ME. 35 min or so and perfect for my out of shape post vacay body!

Roxie, I hope your DH finds something soon, isn't that awful short notice? Reminds me to give thanks for what I do have and try not to complain :) But complaining is my way of venting :)

Mary, a Longaberger basket, imagine that in your area! Sounds like a great birthday, but why didn't you do it up Lisa-style and celebrate all month long? lol

Peng, I feel the same way about DH and sleep, exactly!

Ronne, I had an internal convo in my head where I had a case of blurtosis about age, guess that morphed into blurtosis about stupid co-workers.

Jody, now you know, you wouldn't have known if you hadn't tried. re: chest spot, I'm pretty sure it's basal cell, it is a bummer, but at least I'm pretty sure it's been coming and going for YEARS so it's not NEW per say. Guess this is my cross to bear. As far as working less, I've decided just to bluntly ask for less work time and not go into any details. Kind of like a man would do, us women tend to talk too much and give too many details. I'm waiting for a couple weeks so it's not like, she just got back from vacation and now doesn't want to work.

Finished CSS. I skipped some of the mountain climbers. Maybe she should put the burpees and mountain climbers in the beginning to get them out of the way - like eating the lima beans (insert gagging noise) first and then you can enjoy the rest of the meal. No offense to those who like lima beans, I just cannot do it.

Lisa - next time your co-workers say something stupid just remember, there are lots of stupid people in the world. They have to work somewhere. Just hope there offspring are normal. ;-)

Waves to all.

Murphy

I love the weather here:p! Sunday night I was cold so I put another quilt on the bed, then yesterdays high was 90* so last night I had to throw both quilts to the side and turn the fan back on! Its a comfy 80* inside and 70* outside.

I've always admired people who plan their workouts and rotations in advace, but since I don't feel I'm a 'planner' I never planned too far ahead and when I did I changed my mind. For the past few years I've worked off a general 'cardio one day, weights the next' rotation. So I proudly annouce that last night I made up a rotation for the month of Oct! the whole month! Its a generic rotation but I've even added in most of the specific workuots. I feel so organized.

Bible study and bread making for the day, along with more laundry and the 'body part du jour'.

I transplanted two houseplants to larger pots yesterday and thought I'd do some more today. I need to get out there and weed since its going to rain for the rest of the week. Of course its hotter this week!

Hi all

Penguin - well done on the rotation! I switch between the two, sometimes making it up as I go along and then doing a Cathe rotation when I think I need some discipline!!

Lisa - your co-workers are dopes!! Do your best and ignore them.

Murphy - your comment to Lisa made me laugh!

Roxie - so sorry to hear about your DH! That is terrible and such short notice. Is he getting any kind of redundancy payment?

Jody - bad luck on skipping the year, perhaps you can take it a bit easier anyway!

Mary - good selection of presents - what is a Longaberger basket?

Did Kimberley Spreen Absolute Kickbox. Not done it for ages, I really like her. She's got a really nice personality. Busy work day today, lots to get through. Thinking of going to DD's new school PTA meeting tonight but am feeling a bit lazy!

Up early with a headache, but I did manage to do 4ds double cardio pm. I think it's a barometric pressure headache because we have storms.

Murphy, your post about coworkers cracked me up. For her kids, they are learning the American way, they go home and tell their mother how she doesn't pronounce words right, and they are only 5 right now. Karma is a bit-chemical and will get her eventually.

Ronne, Longaberger baskets are made in the USA (one of the few things still made here) and in Mary's Ohio State.

Penguin, I would love to follow a rotation, but with working. I first in what I can.

Mary, I did it! I fired the cleaning lady, I hate letting people go, so proud I did it even if by text message

Jody, is today your busy day?

Roxie, how is dh ?
