40's & over weekly check in 04/20 --04/26

HI all,

I am feeling better, lethargic, but better. I see the doctor Friday. It looks like the little one is getting/may have pink eye. It went around the daycare. Her eye was pink yesterday and more this morning. It is always something.

Lisa - I am going to alternate the squat rack and plyo legs too. I skipped this morning and am pretending like I may do it tonight. I really need to get with it. Oh and way to go on the poundage. And thanks, next time I do planks I will check out my belly - maybe; some things I just don't want to know.

Hi everyone, I need some pity here. I'm tired, and gotta get running with my day, planning Double cardio from 4DS today. Anyway....

Had to take my sis to ER last night, they ended up admitting her. She couldn't breathe. she's had a cold and I guess the breathing problem came on suddenly, they gave her steriods and breathing treatments and her lungs still wasn't as good as they would have liked so admitted her for observation and maybe more breathing treatments. They didn't seem to think it was bacterial (ie. bronchitis) but was going to give her antibiotics anyway. They even took EKG, I think because of her diabetes. They said that if she didn't have this cold then they would have called it an asthma attack. Will see what happens today. I'm tired, spent 5 hrs at the ER and didn't get to sleep until late but I still plan to do my workouts and hopefully get them in before she calls me to pick her up. I guess I just feel tired of her constant problems especially since she never does anything to help herself (like eating better, getting exercise, losing weight --- she's like 100 lbs overweight). I just had to vent. thanks for listening!
 
Sorry to hear about your sister, Lisa. You must be shattered after spending that much time in the hospital. Hope you manage to find some energy for your workout.

Murphy, hope you're feeling better as well.

Just a quick flyby from me as I'm off to pick DD up from school. Did LIC in its entirety today and it wasn't too bad :eek:! Chest killed me as it always does but apart from that I felt pretty good.

Girls! Forgive me! This is going to be a very very self absorbed post.

Yesturdays workout was conducted in front of a mirror!:mad:

The reasoning behind it was so that I could concentrate on my form Which wasn't that great, (hip hop Abs form that is)

So.... anyways, I looked, and I looked again, and then I looked again. THAT ASS CANNOT BE MINE!!!:mad: ITS WAAAAAAY TOOOOO BIG. But no matter what angle I hip hopped in, the ass was still there!

Todays workout was again in the front of the mirror. Just to remind myself how BIG it was.

Needless to say I have not broken the diet since the first workout in front of the mirror yesturday! Im miserably FAT!!

Andrea sending you big hugs - although my dh loves my butt I do not.... for me its a bit much, but I have those curves so I just need to work on diet & exercise constantly.


I'm off to do an iTread on my treadmill here in a few.
Then plenty of errands before the kids get home from school.

Happy Friday everyone! I have a headache I can't seem to shake today, not a bad one, just a nagging one. I did manage to do the STS sbt disk today. I did a leisurely walk with the dog. On tap for chores today is just laundry, laundry, and more laundry.

My sis is doing better. I guess her cold triggered an asthma response, so now that she knows (this is the 3rd time this has happened with a cold, this one was more severe), now that she knows this occurs she needs to take preventative measures so will see a doc for that (maybe that means having an inhaler jsut in case?). Thing is she is always short of breath (I think it's due to her lack of conditioning) so that doesn't help either.

I was so tired from lack of sleep yesterday that I finally crashed for a nap from 5:30-7 and still went to bed at 10. Now if I could just get rid of this darn headache.

Andrea, we are always so hard on ourselves with our body, I say if we are eating reasonably and exercising then let the chips fall where they may (easier said than done). I'm now officially weighing 5 lbs more than pre-STS....hmmmmmm. I'm trying not to let it bother me.

Vilma, doesn't one of your children get teh asthma thing?

Hi !

I've not posted before. I turn fiddy in June and have been trying not to be fat and fiddy. I'm on week 3 of Meso 1, I did Meso 1 and then restarted since I was not in good shape.

I got a gowear fit device a month ago and with STS I'm now almost down 8# ! I'm so excited. My size 16 khaki pants are now so big that I think it's time to go to a 14.

My first goal is to lose another 21# and then see if I can get another 20# after that.

I leave next week to drive to San Antonio to see my son graduate basic training for the Air Force. I'm hoping he will notice the weight change. He's lost about 30# in basic, I'm not going to be able to recognize him !

I'm just so excited to finally figure out how to lose weight. Go Me !

Welcome to the club Carolyn. And congrats on the weight loss. It's great when you really see results.

Lisa - hope your headache clears for the weekend. Enjoy the laundry ;)!

Andrea - we are ALL much too hard on ourselves. You work out, you eat OK, and you're not perfect. Give yourself a break!!!:p

No workout for me today - I skipped day 6 and took a rest day instead. I'm going to start week 2 tomorrow. I'm subbing Slo-Mo legs for Leaner Legs as I don't have that one.

I'm going out for dinner and drinks with DH tonight. Back to the stomping grounds of our first days. Nostalgia... Have a good weekend everyone!
