40s Mayday!!

Mary, you will have to tell us more when you can, or as it is revealed. I didn't realize this was going to impact you as much_ I'm lost in my own stuff or did you not know our not let on? Even side lined for 4 months seems significant since you are so consistent with dvd working out. You will have to use your PT and recovery for your check ins. Im sure you feel discouraged but we are here for you no matter what. I know you will rock your recovery.

Awwwww! Thank you for the kind words! The surgeon told me 4-6 months before I could get back to my regular routine. PT said takes a year before I can do everything I've done before. Hopefully with muscle memory it will all come back sooner. We are going to turn in our spin bike for a regular stationary bike. Fly wheel will be too heavy, 40 lbs. I hope everyone is doing well. I will get back to personals.......just not today! Lol! Going to the lake to sit by the beach and get some sun today. Thank you all, I really appreciate it! Mary

Good Morning,

It has been raining here all morning. I did KCM Plateau Buster 2 with the added stretch and then run/walk intervals on the TM and planks. I want to do some other abs tonite.

Mary-enjoy your time at the lake I am jealous.

Lisa-allergies are bad but I like having fresh air.

Woke up at 3:30am with a headache, took something and put an ice pack on and thankfully got back to sleep. Up at 6am to hem DS's GF shorts for her job. Headache started coming back so I only did an intermediate pilates reformer 50 min w/o. Took dogs for only 1 mile walk. Came back nauseous, DH got me some chicken noodle soup and took migraine meds, starting to feel better but going to relax today. I know rain is coming with this headache! It's muggy too (thought of you Jody).

Mary, YES, PT counts as a w/o! Sometimes I would play a Cathe tape while I did some PT. It will all workout in the end, we're here for you just like you all were for me.

Speaking of here, Murphy, how are you doing?

Jody, lol, never would have thought you were lost in your own stuff :) that's alright, we all have our turn in life.

Roxie, Too much thunderstorms here, I hate when I get headaches with them, I seriously am a walking human barometer.

Tomorrow we have a family gathering to go to, so I may not make it here and I may not get in a w/o, depends how the morning starts and how the day ends :) Have a good holiday weekend everyone!

ha ha, Lisa, yeah, I was thinking that you and Murphy have already modeled being sidelined w/ health issues and getting back into groove/keeping the groove going. Roxie and Mary are always very consistent and I can't believe how Ronne is able to take time off to holiday and then jump right back in, that is awesome.
I did couch max yesterday- tv and naps. I'm not sure what is up for later, but I am home early. Perhaps I will make good use of my time.
Body max 2 step cardio done, about 35 minutes.

Roxie, I've heard others are getting new KCMs, have you?
Lisa, did your migraine go away? Nice that your hubs took care of you. How did you get smaller while not working out and gaining wt?
Mary, will you use your rower? Seems like you do a spell on that every summer. Enjoy the lake, you deserve to chill out!
Ronne, are you buried in work? It is holiday weekend here.
I did MIS- the upper body parts and some of the abs preceded by a 1.5 mile walk jog to warm up. I've gained 4 pounds since I signed up for road trip.

Good Evening,

I walked on the TM for 30 minutes then did my planks and felt I needed some oblique work. Hoping to take GS out on the boat tomarrow if the weather would hold out a little longer.

Jody-no I was one of the lucky ones no new KCM's for me and I am really disappointed, I probably won't get them until the end of the week.

Hi all

Family visiting this weekend so I haven't been around and no workouts either. Though I have to say I did do the Leg Blast premix (minus a couple of rounds!) from B&G on Friday. You all know how that is not my favourite so I was pleased with myself!

Mary - as the others have said, we will be there for you through your recovery. It will be long and slow but it will be worth it in the end to be rid of the pain you've been dealing with so stoically for so long. We will whoop and cheer every step forward, and pick you up from every stumble.

Bank holiday weekend here as well and half term for DD. Supposed to have gone out to a country house today but it's raining all day, so board games and Wii instead.

Will pop back with personals tomorrow.

Ronne, I hope you have a great day with family, same to everyone else.
I did BM2- the w/u, bonus cardio segment and the power circuits. - about 40 min or so

No w/o's to report for last 2 days. Yesterday had a good family gathering, then watched Hatchiko on Netflicks (look it up, it was good movie for dog lovers). This morning woke up with another headache, thankfully felt better after some migraine meds. Walked Suki (her 1st birthday), took the dogs to dog park (to wear them out), made lunch, bathed dogs, brushed dogs, vacuumed house, did a load of laundry, managed to wear myself out! Made some chicken/artichoke lasagna in the slow cooker, it was good!

Jody, We should have the last of the thunderstorms for awhile, hopefully my headaches disappear with it. As far as losing w/o working out, #1, I was heavy :( #2, I did do some w/o's, just not killer ones, #3, DIET, seriously I only lose when I watch what I eat (I need to start that again!)

Ronne, good job on B&G, especially that premix! I really need to do a total leg w/o!

Mary, how are you feeling? Guess you didn't do the last Cathe Live :( You would have liked it from what I hear. I'm getting itching to sign up, resisting until I get a better w/o area with the connections to internet I need.

Roxie, Hope the weekend was good for you!

BTW, not sure if I ever said...i asked gyno how long I'd be on HRT, she said 'Forever, otherwise the same symptoms will come back'. Now that I think about it, how do women in meno do it? Is it the fact I had NO estrogen and body quit making it? She did say that 8 hrs of sleep at night is amazing! And I'm in no hurry to go back to those sleepless nights!

Hi all

Lisa - wow, that's a busy dog day! All that work counts as a workout for definite.

Jody - hope you're getting a bit of downtime.

Going into town with DD this pm (dentist and library) tho I'm sure I'll end up spending some money!
Will probably do some yoga this pm as well.
Off to the coast for a couple of days tomorrow so I won't be around. Will get some walking in and it'll be good to have a break from DVDs.

Good morning! Not much new here! Roxie, maybe you will get your new ones today or tomorrow? They look like fun! Ronne, enjoy your time away, sounds like fun! Lisa, hope you enjoyed your rest days. Jody, sounds like you are giving yourself a little break. Are boards coming up soon? Hi Murphy! Just doing my PT. Getting squirrelly! Beach on Saturday, pool yesterday. So beautiful here! Not much else. Hope all is well with everyone, Mary

Happy day!! Did everyone get their newsletter? 7 new DVDs! I'm so excited because by the time we get them, I should be able to use some of them!

Good Evening,

I did run/walk intervals on the TM for 30 minutes yesterday and my planks then we took DD, SIL and GS to the lake it was a great day, today I did KCM Kickboxing 2 I haven't only attempted this one usually I quit and do the other workout but I stuck with it. I did my planks at work.

Mary-I think I am going to skip the new workouts I am really enjoying KCM and she wrote me a little note I my invoice that came with the new workouts.

Ronne-have fun.

Roxie that is so sweet! Glad you had a nice day at lake.

Mary, I will prob get these workouts. I only skimmed the info but did note that Cathe said something like they are the shortest they can be and still be effective- most under 47 minutes or less. I'd figured that she wasn't really buying into 30 min workouts so I will have to keep that in mind if I want to keep my workouts even shorter.

Lisa, fun dog day. Sleep is a good thing for sure. Hope headache is gone. I'm going to start a DB RT check in. I'm car buying w/ dd this week. PIA- its tough to get started when you are young but you already have done that with your boys.

Ronne, enjoy your travels.

I did Hiit 40/20 yesterday, modified for general weanie ness but I worked hard.

Hi girls! I had an epiphany! I googled chair workouts on YouTube! I found a Jessica Smith one. I'm so happy! I have been soooooo irritable. I'm ashamed to admit. I think this will help. Me and everyone stuck around me! Lol! Jody, what is a DB RT? Is the car for you or DD? I get a new one next year! Roxie, KCM seems so kind and really connected with her admirers. Hello to Lisa, Ronne and Murphy! Waiting for DH to get home to take me to lunch! Mary

Hi ladies, I never did a w/o yesterday. HEADACHE! I don't know what's going on, DH had one too. Then I thought to check our BP, high, so I have us on higher dosage (per dr orders prev), I think the whole having 6 adults in this house, and getting DS organized for KS is stressing us out. I can see DS isn't quite the adult yet, as he is just letting us figure everything he needs to pack, etc. sigh. I did finally do a w/o today. I took Suki for a walk this morning before the HEAT really set it (2.5 miles) and I was hot even at 7:30am! gah, then had slight headache, decided to do XT Supercuts, harder than I remembered it being, and I was HOT again, felt sick, but got me some water and food in me and feel ok now and no headache (knock on wood), BP is good.

Mary, I'm grumpy too, between the weather (first drenching rain, now HEAT--90), and 6 adults in the house, 3 canines, kids just lolly gagging around, my house a mess, I'm really fed up! Anyway, so glad you found something to do! You will have to be creative, and don't get down on yourself for not doing what you used to do! Believe me, I know how it feels, if I got thru, you will too! You are much more positive than I am (I never admitted to you all but there was some days when I was in the neck brace that DH would be traveling out of town, DS at work, DIL off who knows where, leaving the front door unlocked and I'm by myself, I wished somedays that someone would just break in and shoot me....some dark thoughts I had), if I can do it anyone can, especially you!

Jody, The lady going to DB RT from Denver is a couple miles from where I am! We plan to meet someday once both of our lives settle down, she's hoping to get same flights as me. I feel a bit 'unconditioned' (workout wise) compared to her, she does cross fit, triathalons, marathons, etc and is 48. Heck I'm probably fatter than everyone else too. Yea, that's the grumpy me coming out. A DB RT checkin would be good to see how pathetic I am :) Can you tell I'm grumpy? As far as getting started when you are young, my kids had it a bit TOO easy (ie good credit so they had easy time getting loans). I had them added to my credit cards as authorized users since they were 5 yrs old (they never got a card) so they inherited our good credit score (I learned this from Suze Orman show).

Roxie, I'll prob get the new Cathe workouts. I really still am not sold on Cathe live. KCM is so sweet and it's nice to have the personal touch, I'm hoping DB RT (daytona beach road trip) is small so we have a chance to really know Cathe.

Ronne, I had such a hard time getting back to working out after a 3 day break, I don't know how you do it, but I DO feel better now having done it :) Sometimes you just have to nudge yourself a bit. Did you end up spending some money? I dropped a load at Old Navy, DS found stuff, DH, and I came back home and ordered stuff the store didn't have online. I must go on a money AND food diet again!

Mary, when are you going to start doing the chair workouts? Jessica is a doll, too.I think I will preorder the new dvds and pick up what I'm missing from the last series. Which ones do you all like that don't include boxing?
Car is for DD. She found a 2007 Civic EX w/ 60K miles, one owner- who is moving to NYC and doesn't want a car there. It has some dings and scratches but low miles and nice trim line. 10K. I bought a 2014 Corolla in Feb that I share w/ my older DD. The Civic will replace a 1992 Camry. : O

Lisa, that is so cool that you will get to meet RT friend, etc. I need to get our room. I'm afraid to look at finances, though. 6 adults under one household sounds chaotic. Good thing some of them are moving soon.

Oh and Mary DBRT is my short for the Daytona road trip.

Roxie which new dvd are you going to try first? Mine came yesterday. Honestly, I'm overwhelmed with choices, including all my Cathe's. I also have a hard time remembering what each of KCMs are about as well as how to classify them.

I've decided to think of Shape Up, Plateau Buster, BC as metabolic. I did KCM YBB #1 yesterday. I've run through all 14 of my KCM's now and I'm thinking about what to focus on next.

Good morning! Today did more chair cardio, sound so stupid when I write it out! Today did various punching drills for 30 minutes, and then my PT. Jody, I started yesterday, I have to do something, so hard to be stagnant! At least to get the blood moving! I want to heat how KCM's new ones are! They both look so good! Lisa, hope your head is better. Do you have rules for everyone? Are you doing all the work? They should all be helping you! Now wonder you have a headache! Roxie, how was your day off yesterday? Ronne, having fun? Hi Murphy! Are you nearing the end? DH's first day back at work, everything is taking a lot longer! Lol! Kid's honor's night this evening, I better start getting ready! Ha! Mary
