HI everyone! I just posted pictures of my workout room, I have it about how I want it. Couldn't get the ellipitical or treadmill down in the basement so they are still up in DH office area. He wants to keep his office there (I used to call it the cardio room) and not move it back down in the basement. I dont' use the treadmill anymore ( I have a dog to walk now
and I don't run anymore, nor the elliptical (I got that to use as a way to move a bit more when working from home ---- I'd get on it for 5 min spurts.
I did HIS/LIS double cardio premix today and a 45 min spinning yesterday. We got about 20 inches of snow, ugh, I don't see many dog walks this week as we are supposed to get more snow Thurs. We went from 60's to teens! gah! I'd doubting my crocuses will survive this!
Ronne, congrats to DD, wow! I've been putting 2 and 2 together and figuring out what else aggravates my neck, sigh. Speaking of skiing made me remember that the first time I was debilitated with my neck was when I was 20, me and DH (by the way it's our 29th anniv today), was skiing in Vail and staying there, I didn't have any fall or anything but I think from the bumping (I used to search out the bumps and lift off
) anyway, my neck was "out", stayed in bed 2 days and finally had to go see a chiro up in Vail. He fixed me right up. So I think all the skiing, all the Disney World rides on my bad neck from the car accident when I was 5 (remember went thru a window) really degenerated my neck. Hey, but I had fun and I didn't know. Welllllll, now i know. So as I think about what caused this neck to go "out" this time, I'm thinking it was the bicep curls in XT (sounds weird I know), but man, the bicep curls will put my neck in pain no matter what now. So, sensible Lisa is going to NOT PUSH bicep curls (I think that's what set it off this time along with tilting head back too much). I will (I take an oath) only do one arm at a time for bicep curls for the rest of my life...that way I can work the bicep without working the neck. The whole tilting the head back is something I have to fight NOT TO DO! When it hurts I tilt it more! (massage lady said when you tilt it back it actually pushes C1 forward---and PT was always telling me to drop my head a bit when in a plank. I must remember this! I forget and don't realize I'm doing it in the couch when I'm looking at my phone until it's already hurting! I've blabbered on enough. I figure if I write it I'll remember it
