Mary, that's lazy! I do same thing with a bra, am I going to bounce? No? No sports bra, just a T---those are normally weight workouts.
Jody, yes the dog comes, bets are on where she spends most of her time

Funny how those ladies think they are doing so much, they'd die with Cathe. Intensity (the new one) is quite intense, you amaze sometimes, no, all the time.
Been busy yesterday supervising, cleaning up, moving stuff to prepare for kids to move in. DIL seems excited, but still hasn't told her Mom, said her parents could help with moving things if that was OK, I told her totally, they are welcome to help them, I know some stuff needs cleaned and I can't do it all given the circumstances. Maybe this is what will bring the families together? I'm reduced to pain so bad I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy and hence must take help from worst enemy.
Just did HR, a bit lower UB weights than normal, but a bit more than I was with this neck. weak in delts, especially rear delts (Neurosurgeon noticed this before i even knew! That doesn't correlate to c6/c7, that is c4/c5 where nothing is of much note in the radiologist report---he treats the symptoms not the reports, and that is where he notices a step off of the nice line the vertebra have on the flexion xray---what a puzzle. Neurosurgeon notices weakness in triceps, that's c6/c7. The EMG next week will show what muscles have had nerve damage to them. I think the results are less subjective than a radiologist report (human reads those) (I think they use computer to measure energy (or something) pricking you with needles to see WHERE the nerve damage starts (ie. spine, shoulder, elbow, carpal tunnel).
So far the intense pain is gone, it's weird, pain med doc said that it would handle pain from base of skull to edge of shoulder down to mid back. Starting right at the shoulder my left arm feels "different, not normal", not numb necessarily, not pain (though in certain position last night in my chair I felt slight pain), still think something is impinging on my nerves to my left arm. This morning my left scalene is super tight, kinda like the pain would be in the past (and like you have), going to work on gentle stretching of it. Slight pain at base of skull, tightness? don't know
My face has color in it now and my cheeks are bright red (DH noticed), and I'm not wanting to shoot myself. Now this is with no activity, so after 2-3 days of light workouts will see how I feel, I know I won't feel near as bad as I did given how I feel with no activity and no meds). I so would like to take a flexeril though just for this left scalene muscle that is tight! My theory is the neck muscles tense up in order to support the head when things are breaking down in the spine. So a disc could be degenerating, once that is degenerated enough, the facet has to carry more load, once those start rubbing together you get my pain.
I'd be happy going in every 6-12 months to the pain dr to do a rhizotomy (burning of the nerves in the facet---nerves grow, that's why you have to do it again and again), and avoid fusion, thinking there may be a less invasive procedure to expand the areas for some of the nerves. I'm concerned about c4/c5 and instability there, not sure how they fix that (other than fusion), which would put more stress on c5/c6. Ah, I'll leave it up to my brilliant neurosurgeon. I'm very happy with my pain guy too, they GET how much pain you are in.
Hellos to everyone else, I must get to work, got a lot at the moment, can you believe it?
