3 week cycles?

Cathlete
I just received STS and really want to start, but my travel schedule is working against me (I won't have access to weights while I'm away). I'll be home for 3 weeks, then gone for 1 week, then home for 3, and gone for 1. If I start STS now, should I do the first 3 weeks of cycle 1, take my rest week, and then jump into cycle 2? Or should I return, do the last week of cycle 1, and then what? Jump right into cycle 2 for 2 weeks, then a rest week? How much am I missing if I do this on a 3-week cycle instead of 4?

Thanks for any advice you can offer!

I asked a similar question a while back and Cathe said it was o.k. to take the break and resume where you left off.

I thought about this too. I was thinking that instead of doing 3 weight workouts per week for 4 weeks - do 4 workouts per week for 3 weeks. For example :

Mon:Chest, Shoulders Biceps
Tues: cardio
Wed: Back Triceps
Thurs:cardio
Fri: Legs
Sat: rest
Sun:Chest, Shoulders Biceps

Mon: Cardio
Tues: Back Triceps
Wed: Legs
Thurs: cardio
Fri: Chest Shoulders Biceps
Sat: Rest
Sun:Back Triceps

Mon: Legs
Tues: Chest, Shoulders Biceps
Wed: Cardio
Thurs: Back Triceps
Fri: Cardio
Sat: Legs
Sun: Rest

Week 4 - Rest Week

Thanks Wendy -- This rotation looks great! I hadn't even thought of this. I'm going to try it, and see if my body can handle that much weight-training without more cardio/days off.
