<3 ~ ** CHEETAH'S Holly Jolly Monday ** ~<3

I’m back and excited! I ran a full mile (a little over, actually) and had no pain. I did not want to push it, so I only went 1 mile, but I’ll add on a ¼ mile at a time (every week) until I am running longer distances. I also ended up doing APX Upper this morning, with 4DS KB core. I’m getting the weights I need down, and I really worked hard with this one. It felt so great.

Lorie – Hope you had a successful shopping trip yesterday!!

Wendi – With the way you bowl (300 scorer you!), I don’t blame you for concentrating on your game and not the football game! I did enjoy my run! I think you made a good decision on skipping Gauntlet – it obviously wasn’t working for you.

Kristi – Hope you get some breathing room today! I’m so sorry to hear you were sick over the weekend! That sucks! Hope your new rotation works for you!

Carole – oh good! I’m glad you like the Packers, too! How can you not like my Ravens? :p But, they are NOT playing well at all! I turned the game off and watched Christmas shows with DD14. It was so bad. I hope you enjoyed your GS Legs and EXT workout!

Susan – YAY! I’m so happy to hear the scale moved for you! I hope your hip is better soon and that your yoga rotation helps! I really enjoyed it when I did it.

Judy – Sounds like a great class you had today! I plan my dinner menus for the week as well – so much easier for grocery shopping!

Jackie – I cannot wait to get Slo Mo! I’m starting a Jan rotation with it. I really like her weight work – it is very different – which is a good thing.

Edited to add - I forget to tell y'all about Jimmy's expression when DH and I brought the tree into the house. He looked at us literally as if we had gone mad. I swear, he was saying, "Oh heck, even I know trees belong outside!!!" It was classic...

Hiya YA YAS,

Just having my lunch break and thought I’d check-in. I will be running on the dreadmill during football tonight but first I’ll get in some lower body and abs work. I also need to work on the decoratemax scene…lol

Cathy – I have been working SLOWLY on finishing classes for a measly AA in Computer Information Systems/Computer Applications while working full-time. I can only take a class or two per semester because I don’t have any time to do more. I’m about 3 more classes away from graduation though.

Shelly – LOL: - I know, I know, I drive myself crazy trying to decide but just a few days ago I finally decided against the Pig for this very reason
: “The following items are not permitted in the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon: ……….or headphones.”
Not real excited about the no head phone rule since I’ve become accustomed to music while I run. This is the same reason I didn’t run in a local half marathon in Sacramento. I checked the SLC marathon site and headphones are not listed as restricted….phew! Also, DH was still giving me evil eyes over a full marathon right now. I can get away with the halves right now though….LOL. BTW, I bet you are a kind, caring nurse – so nice of you to be there for that patient.

Sunny – Yeah, so far everyone at work today likes the new do. I’ll probably get a pic trail going this weekend after I finish my project. Gotta get the stooopid homework done before play..lol…trying to practice what I preach to my kids….

Wendi – Maybe you could do some skatemax on the farm with all the ice…just kidding! I hope your leg gets better, and I agree with Shelly, your employer needs to supply you with some med insurance considering all that you do!!

Judy – Wow, sounds like you also have an awesome spin class to attend along with your pilates. I want to come to your classes! I need to get to a spin class – I haven’t been in ages. Have fun with the menu planning!

Wendy – Yeah, I didn’t want to go to work this morning either! I too don’t really like Mondays and funny thing is, I was born on a Monday..in the morning!! LOL

Christine – Is that North Shore Tahoe? That’s what we like best. I’m not a great skier but I would probably meet up with you and Cathy if you do a GTG – and wanted me to tagalong that is…lol. My DD is a snowboarder and is on the team at school this year. They live at Boreal it seems…The crazy kid was up there for practice 2 evenings after school last week, there on Friday and Saturday all in between work and school work, and then had the nerve to call DH yesterday after she got off work to ask if she could go up “night riding” at Boreal…LOL All I could hear him say several times is “no, it’s Sunday, I’ don’t want you on that freeway and you need to come home”….then it was “I’m not going to discuss it anymore, you need to come home”….So glad he got the call because that kid needs some rest!!

Lorie – I’m glad you had a nice day out with your friends at the Mall yesterday. Hope you are staying strong and I wanted to let you know that since I commented the other day on your issue with DF even though I didn’t really know what the “incident” was, I went back and found the posts that had it. I must agree with the other cheetahs here when they say YOU DESERVE MUCH BETTER – run, do not walk, far, far away from this person. ((HUGS)) for you during this difficult time and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your friends”. You should consider running the Salt Lake City half marathon….LOL

Kristi – I chuckled about your comment that your family probably loved that you couldn’t say much – sounds like what mine would say about me! LOL - I hope you are feeling better. And I too am trying to split up my workouts (now that I have my own garage) as this plan allows me more rest days on weekends when I’m so busy with everyone, and it also seems like I get more workout time by doing this way instead of cramming it all in 1 hour in the morning. Good Luck and let me know how you do. What half marathon are you running this Spring? You should go to Salt Lake City….LOL.

Carole – I’m sorry you are having leg issues; I hope they improve so you can go to Salt Lake – LOL. I’m bugging everyone! Hey, worse case scenario is they have a 5K! I like the Packers but really I just better keep my trap shut about football because it can get as ugly as talking politics. This is because I am a diehard Cowboys fan and most people razz me about that and the other reason is I completely despise the Patriots (‘cept for Randy Moss – what an athlete) so as they say, “Nuff said” for me before I get kicked off the cheetah boards…lol

Susan – congrats on the weight loss. I agree that yoga seems to fix things after feeling beat up from workouts. I just need to get back into practicing. I have Bryan Kest as well and need to get that yabber box on my list of workouts to do.

Jackie – yeah, I was up late but since I’m on the West coast it is even later for most of the other cheetahs. I went to bed at 1am PST and had to wake up at 6:30 a.m. PST (only had an hour to get ready for work!) so I’m a little tired. I have to do it sometimes though so I can get things done.

Have good rest of the day Cheetahs!

Thomasina

Thomasina - we were posting at the same time! Yes, North Shore is my favorite spot. South Lake Tahoe is mainly in Nevada. I love the no smoking rules in bars and restaurants in California. Too funny about DD and snowboarding! Glad your DH got the call. Being out in the snow all day is tiring! I couldn't imagine getting up for school the next day! As for football - I'd hate to think that you'd get kicked off the Cheetah's board for being a Cowboy's Fan and hating the Patriots (I'm the other way around, actually, but that's okay). What's the point of a game if we cannot have a friendly rivalry? :+

Hi!

Okay so it's a bit later then "after work" considering I am home from work by 12:30 at the latest!:p My afternoon got away from me so here I am now. Better late then never I always say! I hafta give the Joester a bath tonight so I want to knock out the personals before bath and bedtime get goin' or I'm liable to get off track and not do it...

Shoulders and Arms/ARX are DONE! Interesting work out with the bands. I felt nice and pumped when I was done! I really like it w/bands but am seriously considering purchasing the b-line bands. I am thinking they will do a better job then the cheap cheesey ones I have right now. Oh and I used the bosu during ARX as much as I could to change it up. }(

Thomasina: Oh your poor DH. I can only imagine how upset he must be over the passing of his boss/friend and at such a young age too. So very sad. ;( Can't wait to see your new hair do!!!

Cathy: So what's it gonna be tonight...yoga, stretch or snooze? :p I hope your day wasn't too hectic.

Shelly: It's okay to wuss out of running in the snow! I am considering a winter race at the end of the month but I am afraid commit until I get a glimpse of the weather for that week! I don't want to do it if it's gonna be sub-30 degrees or snowing!!!

Sunny: So what did you have to do for your TT work out today?

Judy: I made myself work out after the wedding for a couple reasons...to burn off the food and drink and to keep myself up because I knew we were heading back out the door and if I allowed myself to sit I'd have never gotten back up. It worked! Working out after an event like that is not my usual fare. Normally I would just do a killer cardio work out the next day if I were worried about the cals.

Christine: Good job starting to ease back into running. LOL about Jimmy and your tree!

Lorie: So did you get through the weekend okay? Have you spoken to DF? Made any decision yet? (((HUGS)))

Wendi: No worries about bagging your work out this morning. I think you did the smart thing. We know you'll make it up when you get a chance!

Kristi: Can't wait to hear how your new work out plan goes. If I could get my arse up early enough to work out in the a.m. consistently I would try something like that but do it in the early mornings and afternoons. Glad you are feeling better!

Carole: Nice combo of GSL and the EXT. Legs were probably burnin' on that one, ey? }(

Susan: Glad the scale is your friend again. I was up a few pounds for a couple of weeks and it was really tickin' me off. I think it was PMS though as I got my friend and the pounds suddenly dropped off at the same time! YAY!:)

Jackie: Glad you enjoyed the movie w/DBF. They had a post on O/D about that movie saying that we shouldn't let our kids watch it but I don't remember exactly why.

Hey everyone!

Wendi – Ouch! I’ll bet that is how you got the sore spot on your shin! Good job on your series! That is great!

Christine – I will be anxiously awaiting your review of the iPhone! The 4 hours of training would be great! Yes, it is “too” easy to get caught up with the latest and greatest! Good job on getting the decorations done! – Great job on running without pain! I really like APX a lot, too! That is so cute about Jimmy’s expression with the tree!

Thomasina – Oh my! That is sad about your DH’s boss dying! 50 is very young. That is wonderful that you got to get together with the employees of the company! That is cute about your Bosu! I hope I end up liking them, because right now…I truly am just disgusted with myself 

Cathy – That is a great idea about using the Bosu for the assisted pull-ups!

Shelly – That sounds absolutely beautiful! I’ll keep you posted on the KBs and what I think of them.

Sunny – Wow! Thanks! That sounds good! That would be great! Enjoy the TT and EXT!

Judy – Thank you for the card! That was a great picture of all of you! I have seen several posts where you have mentioned your DH being stressed about your training. Is he against it? Enjoy the spin class!

Wendy – Wow, girl! You are doing great with the Christmas shopping! Enjoy S&A. Good job on the yoga! I never seem to get that in!

Jackie – I am glad you enjoyed the movie and that you had a good day! You are very welcome for the card! Good job on the elliptical and SloMo!

Kristi – Waving “Hi and Bye!!” Have a good week!

Carole – I love GS’s! That is my favorite weight series! Good job on your workout!

Susan – Your rotation plan sounds really good! I am jealous that you get to see Mr. Yummy Pants again! ;) I am glad you had fun with your friends the other night! You are welcome for the card!

Hope everyone has a good night and I will talk to everyone tomorrow (hopefully!). Oh, by the way….no workout for this Cheetah this Monday!

Linda

Linda,

Yoga is way too easy to blow off so I completely understand what you mean. I like yoga and have learned to really appreciate it but somehow I *STILL* have to work really hard at making sure I get to it every week!?!
