Congratulations A-Jock! That was one of the most beautiful posts I have ever had the pleasure to read on cathe dot com. You are a true inspiration.

Awesome! I love stories like these! I hope you continue your hard work and enjoy the rewards. And I like the positive twist on belly flab; the next time I feel like whining about it I will remind myself that I'm lucky to be here enjoying my forties!!!:7 Take care, Nancy~~

Hey A-Jock-

RE: WOW!! Thanks, everyone!

Thanks for sharing your story of strength and hope. I am just coming up on 3 months of sobriety. It was a hard struggle for me to admit to myself, but at 42 my life was unmanageable, and depression was becoming a constant. Alcohol kept that vicious cycle going over and over. I am grateful today to be where I am. A nice side effect of no alcohol has been a little weight loss, and the energy to workout more effectively. I love working out so much, but constantly have to remind myself that it is NOT the most important thing. My sobriety is the most important thing!! I often wondered if anyone else on this site had a problem with alcohol, but couldn't imagine that! I am thankful for the fact that you are willing to share, and that gives me courage and hope for the next 20 years ( one day at a time)!!

Lynn:)

Wow! Congratulations! That's wonderful. Treat yourself to the salon or with something that involves pampering:)
