HI Everyone,

I thought I would start this again before I go home.I am so sleepy right now, I can't wait to crawl into bed.

I have to say, I did very good yesterday. I needed some rules and discipline!

In case some of you didn't notice, others thought that we should have more "structure" to the challenge.Which wasn't a bad idea, I just didn't want to be the rule setter...but I was}( So...there are rules posted for the 12 week program.Hopefully most of us can follow them.I know that some are already doing a specfic rotation or eating plan, so I don't except some to drop everything they have done and jump into something else that may not work for them, when they have found something that does. But hopefully we can follow most of the guidlines set.
Once again..i am starving so I think I will grab a yogurt out of the fridge. No protein in this joint! LOL
Does anyone have any ideas what I can mix with a pineapple protein drink? Charlotte makes fun of me and I know it doesn't sound the best but it is a fruity protein drink, maybe I can throw some yogurt into the blender with it?

Lori:)

Hi, Lori. I think you did fine setting the rules yesterday. Structure is good! LOL I can't help with the protein drink, cuz I don't know anything about them, sorry! Do you work nights???

I did well yesterday as well. Finished strong and 'on program'. LOVE IT!

This morning was a treadmill run (early). I was shooting for 3 miles, easy, since I am tapering and prepping for next weekend's half marathon. BUT.......I got into my zone at mile 2 (usually it takes me till 3 miles) and I was feeling great, so I ran until my time ran out. I ended up running 7 miles, nice and steady and could have gone longer if I didn't have to get my boys ready for school! LOL

I'm am REALLY looking forward to the next 11+ weeks!

I had my older DS take my before pics last night (the ones I took Monday didn't come out so well) and I was surprised at the shots. Some areas I am happy with, others I am so-so, and yet OTHERS need help! LOL. It's great seeing yourself, as hard as it is!

OK...must run. Field trip to the farm with younger DS's pre-K today!

Have an AWESOME DAY!!!!!!

Gayle

Good morning, ladies!

Lori, no idea on the pineapple drink. I personally love pineapple, though. I eat it with cottage cheese so I'm thinking yogurt might work. Maybe that and a couple of ice cubes?

Gayle, nice job on the run! I hate running but secretly wish I could. Didn't someone say something similar on another thread recently? I definitely relate, lol.

My workout last night was a wash as I was traveling all day and then had to run the kids around in the evening. However, I was VERY good about what I ate. I had a lot of small meals in the office and when I got home, I avoided snacking except for a few goldfish crackers. I did NOT eat any ice cream, which is major progress for me. That's my one total downfall.

To all the other ladies to come, hope you have a great, structured day! :)

Still thinking about my goals and hoping people will start posting their specific goals today...

Later!
Marie

Marie I was unable to get in my workout yesterday as well. We had company til 9:45. But today is a new day and I'll do better.

Going to go and check out the goals thread. I have a few in mind but want to read the rules, etc.

Have a great day all!

Well I have been on my rotation for almost a month now. I measured my lower body and I AM SO SHOCKED!!! I lost 1 inch in my thighs, 1 inch around hips. Waist is the same, but GOSH!!!!! I know we are just starting this, but I am already on a roll! My biceps have gained 1/8". So I am passed the 12 inches now. I measured them about 5 days ago. Now onto measuring chest, etc.
Just wanted to share. I am so motivated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW, I wanted my thighs bigger, but first have to lose any fat and then will build them up (sculpt) later as with upperbody.

Charlotte~~

YEAY for Charlotte!:D

So I ate ALL DAY LONG yesterday! LOL I kept it healthy but I think I might have broken that no eating after 9pm rule!:p

I am hoping to get to a SPIN class this morning for some mean cardio!

I am also hoping not to eat QUITE as much today. :p

Have a great day girls!:)

Hey everyone:

Sounds like some great starts to this "challenge" - YIPPEE!!!!:7

Lori - How about adding a little coconut to your smoothie? Kind of a pina colada type smoothie? Add key lime yogurt, too.

Gayle - Great start! I'm following Weight Watchers, too, and have been doing really good the last couple of days, feeling great - I love Weight Watchers.

Charlotte - AWESOME results, girlfriend!!! You are cruisin'!

I taught step class last night and we did 40 minutes of step, 15 minutes of intervals, situps, pushups and walking lunges. Felt great! I'm going to start the summer rotation that fitnessfreak posted, so tonight I'm starting with Push Pull and abs from Cardio and Weights.

Eating has been good and I put my pedometer back on to make sure I have AT LEAST 10,000 each day (good for a starter goal anyway). I weighed myself today and will change my ticket line below to reflect that because I've gained and I want it to be true to this challenge. ;) I will have DH take pics tonight and measurements so I'm set to go. I got a journal and started writing down everything so I can go back and see what worked or didn't and what I need to change.

OK - OK, enough babbing from me for a few minutes anyway. ;)

Good luck today, everyone - see you later.

~Marcia~

Good Morning Ladies, I just got finished my workout. Week 2 on slow and heavy. Got a great burn going. I managed to drink 32oz of water durning the workout. I just kept taking sips until it was all gone. I'm pround of myself for that. I am really bad on the water.

I just got finished drinking my protein shake and now am off with the kids.

Great gains Charlotte!!!!

It really does feel good to check in with all of you and hold yourself accontable.

One more thing I didn't eat past 8 last night. Hurray!!!! Off to a good start. karen

Good Morning Everyone!

Sounds like everyone is getting off to a good start! I had a good day yesterday too. I did SJP - although I was SUPPOSED to do YogaX - but just couldnt do the Yoga. I am going to commit to doing it next week though.

This morning was P90X Legs & Back and Ab RipperX - I am doing the doubles rotations - so I will do some cardio as well at lunch. Probably some Turbo Jam! I am just finishing my recovery drink - and finished 32oz of water with the workout - so not a bad start so far!

Good Luck and Happy Friday!!!!!

(I posted on yesterday's check in,but was the last one, so don't know if any of ya saw it, so I will re-post that message here)

Hi Guys,
My name is Ali and I'm joining your little challenge here I'm new to Cathe, I just received the Intensity Series. It looks tough. I've been doing mostly Beachbody workouts for the past 2 years and some BillyBlanks and CoreSecrets. I learned about Cathe on collagevideo, everyone loves her, so I have to see for myself. I love working out, but I also love to eat too much food. I'm hoping that this challenge will help keep me in check.

During these 12 weeks, I will focus on CLEAN EATING!!!! and drinking enough water. I've designed my own rotation for Intensity Series and will do that for 4 weeks before stepping it up. Unfortunatley my camera is broken, but I'm gonna ask my friend to come over and take some before pics. I'm going to take day 1,30,60 and 90 pics. I like to see the subtle changes. It's also a great motivator, for when you, think you haven't made any changes. YEAH!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

Here's my rotation for weeks 1-4:

Monday-Cardio&Weights,TurboJam 20

Tuesday-Imax2,TJ 20

Wednesday-Bootcamp,TJ 20

Thursday-Imax2,TJ20

Friday-Cardio&Weights,TJ 20

Saturday-Imax2,TJ20

Sunday-Stretch

If anyone has any suggestions or comments on my rotation please feel free.
(Now for today's check-in)

I'm finishing up my week with Core Secrets FUll body challenge, i upped my weights and that helped. I also did Turbo Jam Cardio Party this am.

Yesterday was a great eating day for me and I didn't even think about eating crap or overeating (why can't everyday be like that:* )
Okay Ladies,
HAVE A GREAT DAY!
Ali

Glad to here everyone is off to a great start. Lets keep that motivation going. This morning I did GS Legs. I didn't realize how little time I have been spending on weights until this morning. No endurance, No strength. Feeling kind of like I'm starting all over. but that's Ok, because as long as I keep it up (which thanks to this challenge I am planning on) in 12 weeks I will be stronger, slimmer and healthier.

Jean

Hi all. Great job everyone!:)

Well I got to my spin class but in my rush I forgot to eat first! I know it's not a big deal as many do cardio first thing w/o food but I had already been up for quite some time when I left for the class. I could have bought a protein shake at the gym beforehand but I didn't have any cash on me. :-( I ended up being ok though...I was quite hungry by the time I got home but did fine in the class. I was a bit afraid I wouldn't be able to make it through.

When I got home I had a big bowl of kashi cereal w/banana in it. That was around 11am. Now I am about to make myself some lunch before DS gets up. Probably a turkey sammich and some lf cottage cheese or an apple or something.

Tomorrow is High Step Challenge for me. I've had this work out for a while and haven't done it yet so tomorrow should be interesting!:) I notice a few others doing/starting Debbie's rotation. That's great!

I may have a friend over this evening so I don't know what my eating is gonna be like for dinner but I'll do my best depending on what the menu offers!}( ;)

Wendy, may I ask what a sammich is? Do you mean sandwich...or am I missing something?:p :p Good job on the spin class.Again,I wish we had those here!;(

Gayle,I forgot to answer your question.I work shift work which means ,there are nights involved.I am only suppose to work 7 night shifts a month but for some reason I end up with more.I often switch with the girl who is on my side of the schedule and if there are any OT shifts they are usually night ones.Like tonight...

Ali, I saw your post last night and welcome! Your rotation looks goo, again, I think you will enjoy the intensity series.

Charlotte, congrats on the inches gone bye-bye! You will soon be invisible so you better gain some muscle soon.LOL

Hi to everyone else.Glad to hear everyone is having a great day again!

Well,I just did a 6 mile run and BC.What a workout and with eating clean, it actually feels like I am getting somewhere! I bought a couple of BFL bars yesterday to see what they taste like and the Cookies and Cream one is REALLY good. Now,I did only have a small taste so those things can taste worse the more you eat.Im gonna have 1/2 of the bar now and if I like it, I am going to buy some more tonight.
See ya later!
Lori:)

Hi, Lori! When I did BFL about 4 years ago, I used the EAS brand shakes and bars. I have to say that they were pretty tasty. I'm actually going to be checking into them again over the weekend!

Great job, ladies!

Keep up the momentum over this weekend.

Gayle

Gayle - when you check out the EAS bars and shakes, let me know how many points they are for WW - if you wouldn't mind. :)

Thanks.
Marcia

Hi ladies,

sounds like we all had a great day yesterday!! what a motivational group you are!!

gayle- great run
lori- great job setting the "rule"
charlotte-what fabulous results!! do you mind my asking what kind of rotation you are currently doing?
wendy- i really want to give spinning a try. i am a little scared it might kill me..;o)

hello- to anyone else i might have missed....:)

yesterday's workout was 40 min. on elliptical and KPC!! this morning i did 3 miles on the treadmill, walking. for some reason my stomach was cramping this morning:-( however i was determined to do some kind of exercise.

today's eating was so-so....

Good Afternoon!!

Lori I like the "structure" you made for this challenge. I did very good on my eating yesterday. I also did Legs & Glutes last night. This weekend I will get my before pictures taken and hopefully get a picturetrail going.

Ali I think your rotation looks great. I love the intensity series. And everybody else sounds like they are doing good. :D

Becki

Well, Miss Karen, I hope you bought outdated bars}( That would be just my luck, to find something I actually enjoy eating! Ive tried numerous bars and even the Detour bars leave a after taste in your mouth. They are $1.97 a bar here.I am going to pick up 5-6 and then get some more.I also bought the double chocolate kind but haven't tried it yet.

Marcia, I would think those bars are 4-5 points per bar. They are 200 cals each.

You know, I never realized how many cals I consumed just picking at food.I have eaten my meals and my calorie intake is about 1200 cals, I can only imagine if I had been picking at food to.I would think on any given day my cals may have been 2000 or more and for me thats to much.
Lori:)
