Good Morning Challengers!

Well, the end is near! Not much time left now!

Does anyone want to tell us what they accomplished in the past 12 weeks?
I for one have alot more UB strength and definition. I can see a HUGE difference in the tri area and my shoulders are also more defined. They scale did go up for me over the past 12 weeks but now that I have stopped the heavy lefting for the next 2 weeks, lets see what happens. The scale already appears to be moving down again.

Todays workout is a long run and abs. Need to get that started so I can get a good workout in before work!

It's THURSDAY :) :) Morning Girls :)

Today is another 3miler. Triceps will be worked ME and PUB I think unless I pick some others. But they will be worked :) I think I'll use the ab machines at the gym. With Easter being so early, I totally forgot DH has Friday off. Silly me. I already told him I'm hitting the gym in the a.m. He said he will tag along LOL.

To answer your question Lori:

I made my goal weight of 116. Body fat is 11% I am amazed at my upper body definition. MY abs are seeing some definition as well. Who would have thought!! Of course I can now run 12 miles and not crawl it :) I think being consistent and clean eating helped me reach my goals. I'm hooked on the running and will be starting a 12 week or 16 week training. Haven't decided yet.}(

Now personals:

Lori: Is that your son? Good Lord he grew up fast. What a handsome man he is. Your DD is going to have so much fun. What a neat mom you are. Your inlaws place sounds so cool. Take pictures :) :)

Amelia: You enjoy your time away. I'm glad your ankle is ok.

Becca: You go girl! You can do this --if I can--you can :)

I'll catch up with others if they check in with us.

I need a refill. I think I can hit the gym early this morning. DD doesn't have school :)

Anyone have any special easter plans? I'm hosting get together Saturday as that my oldest DD will be home. WE want her to get a head start back on Sunday so we will have brunch that morning before she leaves.

Good morning!

I had a hard time crawling out of bed this morning. So I am running a bit behind. My plan today is 4DS kickbox, but I may just run and do the weight work.

During this challenge, my weight has gone from 136.5 to 125. I want to get down to 124.5 just so I can say I lost 12 lbs in 12 weeks. I have lost quite a few inches. I'll check out my Cathe calendar later and post my stats.

Alright, I'm going to hit the TM. I keep trying to talk myself out of it, so I better get down there now before the kiddos wake up.

Hey Lorie and Kath

Today workout is a 3mile jog on the TM with powerwalks inbetween miles...im still training my jogging right now! I can go about 1.4 without gasping for air so im getting better! Its so much fun to just jog :)

Afternoon :)

3miles logged. I did it in 23:43!! That's fast for me :)

Triceps worked hard. Gonna be feeling the DOMS tomorrow }( I also did a ton of ab stuff.

Tomorrow is a 5miler.
Saturday a 3miler. Then I will have completed my 12 weeks. :) :)

Becca: YOU GO GIRL. Great weight loss. :) Did you get a run in today? I made a great chicken soup last night. HUGE hit in this house. I'll pass the recipe onto you in a few.

Gonna finish some domestic stuff. I may be back. I should be able to report my run tomorrow morning. With a day off for everyone my mornings tend to be busier--or I am very quiet so as no one wakes to interupt my *quiet inhale coffee* time :)

Amelia, I had to LOL about pouring water on your DH's head. I think I need to try that too!

Well, I didn't even come close to meeting my challenge goals. I had a really rough time. For the 1st 4 weeks I actually GAINED weight (AFTER maintaining through the holidays x( ). I did FINALLY manage to turn that around just to get sick a few times so that WO was really difficult.

I have definitely enjoyed getting to know everyone and truly admire the effort that everyone is putting in.

For the future, I'm starting the BFL for Women challenge after we have spring break next week and I REALLY hope to have better results on that one!

Hi all –

Can’t believe it is so late already. Just so ya know, did some (lots actually) of personals last night but, DUH !, went to look at becca’s pic and lost it all ! So really was thinking of you last night, but didn’t have the gumption to retype the whole darn thing. (Am typing in Word as we “speak” so I can cut & paste)

To answer where I have gotten in the last 12 weeks: lost a few pounds, not enough of my “fat pads” yet, but can seem more definition, pants a bit looser, and as I mentioned yesterday, have been consistent with my workouts thanks to the checking in and the fun of just chatting with all of you. All in all, I’m very happy about the way the year is starting off !

Lori – sounds like the scale is mirroring your newly added muscle. Will definitely be interesting to see what occurs the next couple of weeks.

Kath – glad to see you met your goals and are also feeling more “defined”, in a muscular way ! LOL. The 12 miles still has me excited for you. Part of my typing last night was to say how both you and Lori are motivating me to add to the few miles that I run currently. Am working on it. Will need to keep track of everyone . . .

Becca – AHA, the culprit as to why I lost my post last night ! Your family pic is absolutely adorable ! Super job on your challenge this year. Man oh man what a great loss. I had hoped to be down about that much, but need to work harder on my eating. Am going to try so much harder to behave. Think I need to tweak my calories or % a bit too. Am trying a little more protein and complex carbs to see what effect it will have. Hope you had a nice run ! I did that 4DS Kickboxing workout last night.

Shirl – there you are, you disappeared for a while. Hope you have been having fun and doing well !

Amelia – You are making some great progress with your running. As mentioned Lori & Kath are inspiring me quite well too. Didja pull out your “24”’s yet? Got a couple more episodes in last night. ROFLMAO about your DH – our bedroom used to be where I worked out also by my DH spends nearly the entire weekend in there (computer and TV) so I moved to the family room until I had another spare room which I have completely invaded and set up ! Additional motivation for me.

Kath – great run ! So nice to improve on times, huh? So are you working on a harder training program? Gonna do any races in the future? Hope you get your “me time” tomorrow.

Amelia – sounds like you got a few things figured out for a better round next time. Sometimes life just tosses in some extra challenges we just need to trudge through and then start picking up where we left off. BFL is a good program – hope it goes well for you.

Today is a 5 miler for me. Supposed to be easy up to about a 12 min mile, but I’m hoping to pick up the pace a bit faster than that. Will post my time on it later.

OK – back to work for me too !

Amelia: I saw your post on OD. Listen Girl --you stuck with this 12 week challenge. You stayed with us--- You can do this :) :) Look at the things you have accomplished :) Maybe your weekend get away will help-- step away for a moment and jump right back in. :) :)

Good evening all!

I just got back from a nice outside run. I live about a 1/2 mile away from our college's track so I jogged down there, I walked a lap, ran a lap, walked a lap, ran a lap, walked 1/2 a lap and sprinted 1/2 a lap. I was praising Jesus left and right after I finished that sprint!:7 Then I walked the 1/2 mile back home. 2.25 miles total. I also did a very weak 1.5 miles on the TM this morning. Not too shabby!

Amelia, enjoy your weekend away! That sounds fab! You are making ton of progress! I know it will keep coming!

Lori, love the new avatar! What a cutie he is! WTG on the upper body progress!

Kath, you are doing wonderful!! 12 miles?!?!? Awesome!! Chicken soup? Send it my way! :D Your Easter sounds like it will be very nice have both girls home. Enjoy it! We will be here. My sister is visiting and DH is on call all weekend. So it will be pretty low key. Just church Sunday morning (Dh is singing!:) ) and then dinner.

Shirl, thanks for the peek in...how are things going with you?

Andrea, I'm sure you will do great with the BFL challenge. It is pretty easy to follow and stick with. Let us know how you do.

Jacque, I'm so glad to hear that you are seeing results. Sorry I made you lose your post! ;) And thanks so much for the comment about my family. I like them! :+ I tried to talk DH into wearing the Hawaiian outfits for Easter, but since he is singing in front of everyone, he wasn't to excited about it. x( I think the kids and I will wear them, though. I'll make sure he wears something red. How did your run go?
