Good Morning Challengers!:)

How is everyone this beautiful sunday morning? I am at work but so happy the sun is shining.We had a full week of rain,fog and yuckiness;( Tomorrow is suppose to be even nicer!

Today is my rest day but depending on my mood tonight, I may get on the treadmill for a little bit.I didn't set my alarm to workout in the a.m b/c for 1, its my rest day and #2, after work 3 night shifts I needed to get some decent sleep.So I am happy to say that I got 7 hours in.
We went out for dinner last night and I was a little worried about it.I never have trouble picking healthy food, I just have trouble not stuffing myself when I go out for dinner and I always have a drink and cheesecake for dessert.I stayed away from the big slice of fluffy garlic bread that I love so much:-( ;) , then I had some of DD mussels.I ordered pork,subbed the pasta for a baked potatoe and turnip.And I only ate 1/2 of the potatoe.I tasted my MIL's dessert and had 1 tsp of sour cream with my potatoe.I left the place feeling satisfied but I was hungry before I went to bed...which I perfer. So I am taking yesterday as my cheat meal.No more treats until next week.
So how is everyone else? Sounds like everyone is doing well!

Hey Lori, that is pretty stinking good for being at a restaurant, plus your allowed the cheat meal so all in all you did great.

Yesterdays water for me was not so great. I was out all day and grabbed diet soda everywhere I went. I can tell too because in the middle of the night I got up craving a bottle of water. My food was pretty good for being on the road but I ate dinner around 7:30 whne usually durning the week I'm done eating for the night. It seems like if I eat that late I'm even hungier after I eat. Last night was the same way but I grabbed some watermelon. So I did do pretty good yesterday.

Today I went on a 3.2 mile run. Tomorrow starts into my 3 week of slow and heavy. I love slow and heavy so I'm looksing forward to this weeks of workouts again.

I took my stats yesterday and my pictures. I'm so ticked at myself for letting my bf% go back up. I could feel it in my clothes so I knew it had gone up. I'll post my numbers and goals today. I'm off to drink some water. Have a great day . karen

Hi guys a little late but want to join.I am getting ready to head out the door for breakfast.I am going to measure today along with everything else I need to read the post again.
Today I plan to do p90x shoulders -biceps -triceps doing my 3-5 reps.maybe some taebo.I will check in later with food intake.

Karen, its hard to eat right when travelling isn't it? I use to be very disciplined a few yrs ago so I think when I went on roadtrips, that was my excuse to eat junk.So now when I go somewhere I still have a habit of looking at it as a holiday.LOL
I have to put my goals in there to.I forgot! I also bought some more bars yesterday.I bet they help with the sweet tooth! Mine were still$1.97 a bar though..I just think you got lucky!

Lori-I think you did well also, even for a cheat meal! Great job exercising restraint. Enjoy your day of rest, if you rest! LOL

Karen-You're right about the stats and pics! You see things you don't really think are there! LOL I had my older DS (8 years old) take my pics and I snuck around the house with my T-shirt over my bathing suit and stuck my head out the front door to make sure DFiance wasn't coming yet! LOL. That will change! LOL

Sheila-welcome aboard. How do you like P90X? I hear SO MUCH about it!

As for me, today MAYBE a rest day. I'm not sure. It's a rest day for my rotation, but I may run up to 6 miles tonight. I've got my half marathon next weekend and that rotation has 6 for today, but I ran 6 Thursday instead. Who knows. I do need to take a rest day, so we'll see how it goes. I didn't set my alarm this morning either and just got up! WOW! I haven't slept till 9 in ages. My boys were so quiet too! LOL

My eating has been right on target all week...no cheat meal yet and today is my last day. I'm going to try no cheat meal this week. Last night for dinner I made this awesome Squash & Onion Frittata and it was SO SO SO YUMMY! I impressed myself on this one. When I get a chance, I'll post the recipe for you all to see it. It's so good!

Gotta run to get ready for church. BBL!

Gayle- Yes post the recipe. I need new ideas intead of the standards. And you are so right about the pics. I kept saying to my dh take another one. Oh, no I don't like that one. Then I just said to heck with it. It will make my after pics look better. Right!!!

Shelia- Welcome aboard

Lori- I think i did get lucky becuase I scoured all the wal marts in my area and couldn't find another one that had them at a quarter. Now I could kick myself for not buying more.

Gayle, have fun in church}( Not much of a church goes here:eek: I was forced to go to church when I was younger so I kinda did my own thing when I moved out on my own!:eek: I need to start going though..I know that much.

Karen, I found those bars on the website and they sell for $23 a box CAD. Thats not bad, Im not sure how many are in a box but I will be ordering some. When I was buying mine yesterday there were also other ladies in the aisle, but not looking at nutritional stuff.I could see them looking at me while I was filling my hands full! LOL They were wondering "whats she got there?" LOL Almost as if they thought they were missing out on something! hahaha Im sure they must have looked at the bars after to see what it was.

It's a rest day for me. Going to concentrate on eating and water intake. Eating will be MUCH easier for me. I have to FORCE myself to drink enough water.:-(

Lori, I just read your goals/measurements...your hips are smaller than your waist!?!? :p
 
Hey Guys,
Today is rest day for me and boy do I need it. I went out to dinner last nite with 2 girl friends from high school. We started out with a glass of wine at the bar, and I was like,"okay that's it for me". At the table we proceeded to finish 4 bottles of wine. I was completely out of it, especially because I hadn't had a drink since I got pregnant with my son in May '03 and I've been breastfeeding. Besides the drinking I ate really well. That was easy because it was a dairy free restaurant that serves lots of veggies and brown rice and organic meats and tofu. So as you could probably guess I'm not feeling to well this morning. I walked into the kitchen and there was a pizza box on the counter, I opened it and there were 3 slices of pizza sitting there since last nite. I really needed something in my stomach and I ate a slice of pizza.(straight from the box) UGH! That is so gross, I can't believe I did that. It was like I was back in college. That is soooo nasty. I'm embarassed because that is something I would never normally do. But hey we're being honest here right. Well, I don't think I'll be drinking again for a very long time. I would just rather not than have 1 glass. I hate the way that I feel today. Well my friend is coming over today to lend me his camera so that I can take my before pics, it will be my day 1 since I'm starting my Cathe rotation tomorrow. I can't wait, after previewing her workouts, she is so hard core. I'm really excited to see what her workouts do to my body.

I have a question-do any of you do the workouts with FitTV? If so, do you know what you're supposed to be doing during the commercials? Just keep moving? I guess.

yesterday was an unscheduled rest day for me...my body was calling for it. i just couldn't shake a nagging headache:( . my eating was way off target, which is normally my cheat day anyway. today i am feeling much better, sundays are normally my rest day but since i took one yesterday i hopped on the treadmill and worked out to CC # 4. this was my first time using this cd and it is a goodie!! i was absolutely drenched with sweat when i was finished. i will definitely buy another one of the CC's. I also added in SM # 1. i feel really good today. hope you all have a great day. we are off to church:)

to answer your question- i tried doing workouts to fittv, during commercials i would either hop on the treadmill or jumprope. however for me i got really frustrated with the commercials and the feeling of missing out on an important part of the workout...so i just sucked it up and began purchasing the workouts.
 
Wendy...I have no idea what you are talking about...you must be seeing things:p

I don't have fit tv here but I you are suppose to keep moving through the commercials.I remember ages ago when I would do Caribbean workout or something..I thought the commercials were so long and there was no way I could keep moving the whole time! LOL Not to mention I was probably a lazy teenager back then.

Im so happy that I don't like wine.I think I would get bad hangovers if I drank that stuffx( And cold pizza? I know what you mean though.After I have had a few drinks you definitly have to get something in your stomach and pray you don't get a hangover:) Been there, I havent' eaten cold pizza but chips:9
K all this bad food is making me hungry, gotta stop reading!

Lori - Love your positive attitude - I have the same problem at restaraunts! I am going to stay away as much as possible during the challenge!!!! The bread is what I want too!

Karen - I feel the same way as you, I have worked very hard to let myself fall back even a little - we will take care of it!!!

Sunnydelight - I don't have fittv - if I did it would probably drive me crazy.....I would have to buy too!

My eating was good yesterday:
B - oatmeal, egg whites, orange
S - whole grain wheat cereal, soy milk
L - chicken breast, sweetpotato, broccoli
S - chicken breast, green beans
D - salmon, salad with spinach cucumber and tomato

Today is a recreational cardio day for me, at least it is supposed to be, I keep my grandson, he is one year old, he is extremely fussy today -- we have a picnic this afternoon with volleyball, softball, etc -- I planned on going, if not I will do a heavy cardio when he goes down this afternoon.

My plan for this week is:
M - Imax and abs
T - Supersets Upper Body Blast, Turbo Jam CP Live
W - Step Blast, abs
T - Legs and Glutes, Jump rope blast
F - Turbo Jam Cardio Party 3 and Blast only from Imax2
S - Supersets, Homemade band circuit, CTX Step and Intervals
S - Yoga Shakti Lunar Flow (Yoga) and rest!

Today is my traditional treat day, I am going to have a piece of strawberry shortcake this afternoon, I am looking forward to it!

I also agree about a thread where we tell a little about ourselves - it would be fun and give me an idea who I am "Challenging" with !!!
 
So I am doing okay with eating but the water is killing me! I just can't stand drinking so much of something that tastes like NOTHING!:p

Here's what I have eaten so far today:

1: piece of ww toast with natural p/b
2: turkey on ww bread with a bit if low fat mayo
3: veggie burger plain, apple
 
Good Afternoon all:

Today was GSC&T. Feels good to be getting back into a weight routine. My eating this weekend has not been so great. Starting back using weights has me starving. Today I plan on going to the grocery store and restocking with lots of healthy foods. That should get me back on track for the coming week.

fitmom - I have a problem with water too, I bought myself a special glass and pitcher - I fill the pitcher up with water, ice, and some sliced citrus fruit -- it makes it much prettier and a bit more tasty!
 
Ladies, for those of you looking into the EAS AdvantEdge bars, try eBay! A few years ago, when late DH and I were doing BFL, we bought boxes and cases of the EAS bars and shakes. Cheaper than at the store!

Im pretty good with the water but I haven't peed this much since I was breastfeed and wearing a pamper!:eek: :7 :+ LOL I have only had 4 16oz glasses so far today but I have not stopped peeing! Just think..the more you drink, them more you are giving your kidneys a good flushing and getting rid of fat:)

So far today I have had:
* 1 egg,2 egg whites,ww english muffin and 1 tbsp of jam
* 1 chicken breast, on ww kasier bun,with a plum tomato and a little mayo
* and the four glasses of water!

I am getting now to have my BFL bar.I was putting it off b/c I am a little hungry and dinner isn't until 6:30 and its only 4 now, but I think I am just going to eat it. I still have cottage cheese to eat if I get hungier.

Got a question for you: do you gals feel weird when you eat somewhere and someone notices and wonders why your not eating as much?
Last night I found myself, explaining myself to my MIL.I felt good when I was finished but she noticed that I didn't eat as much and I know my family doesn't think i need to lose any weight.
So tonight we are going to my in-laws for a BBQ. For one, I will have to turn down dessert, Ill just have to say "nope,im gonna be a good girl" and two..I won't eat as much as normal, but Im going to tell them that I am going for a run later, which is true. I don't think they find it weird, I just do.I think people are noticing when they probably don't. ANyone else like this? Cause I am going to be faced with it more and more over the next 12 weeks.
