Hi Girls, I don't see a post for the challenge sooo I guess I'll start one for today....

Just finished. Here are my numbers...Week 4, Day 2, Column 2:

22
17
17
15
20 (Minimum was 20 and AGAIN, I JUST made it. I struggled with the last 6 but never came down to my knees. Just held in the "up" position til I could conquer the last 6! Whew!)

I will be doing them again on either Friday or Saturday and then, I retest so we'll see where I stand at that point.

How did everyone do today? Becky, how are your legs after all those walking lunges?

Good Morning!

Today was Week 2 Day 2 (again)...numbers were 10/12/9/9/max 13....better than last week, but still very hard !!!

Debbie- nice work!! I do the same thing...I just stay "up" until I feel I can do the next rep...lol I can't wait for the day I can pump out 50 pushups at an effortless tempo...

Oops! Sorry about that Tami! I had a feeling this might happen! :D Sounds like you & Maggie had a fun morning! Great job Pinny! It IS tough. I keep waiting for the day that they seem much easier! Doubt that will ever happen! That being said, I did 22 straight today to start off with so that is nothing to blow off either! I, too, look forward to the day I can do 50 non-stop. Heck, I'd setltle for 30 at this point. LOL!:p Let's just keep going & see where this takes us...it can only be UP!

Hi ladies! :D How are you all????
I'm doing surprisingly well given my walking lunges of yesterday. I did a total body weight workout @ the Y this morning and was shocked @ how much easier 45lb bench press was, I actually added 10lbs and an extra set! Starting to love these push-ups! I did my first set of 16 on my toes onto a bench, so I think they were harder than knees, but obviously not as hard as *big girl*!
When I got home I did the rest, but I lost count (never understood how that could happen before!) so I either did the required minimum of 72 or I did an extra set of 12 for 84???

I am so impressed by the numbers y'all are putting up on the toes!!!!!!!!! You're awesome!:D:D:D And hearing about your days makes me smile!

Have a good afternoon!

Oh~ just a curious ??? ~ how many of you are managing these workouts along with a full time outside job??? NOT that homemaker ISN'T full time!!!!! I was just curious who works @ home vs. out?
I'm a homemaker and have been blessed to do that most of our marriage. I did work part-time for ( 2001-2007) 3 years, then 3 years waaaaaay more than full time (about 60+ hours each week) but last year we moved and my job stayed behind. Just *getting to know you!* curiosity!

Becky

and p.p.s. ~ I'm looking forward to the day I can do 3 toe push-ups in a row! LOL!!!!

Let's just keep going & see where this takes us...it can only be UP!

You're so funny!! Har Har :p

I know I sometimes get discouraged when I can't match what the week is telling me to do. But what awesome gains I have made!! Before I never even did "boy push ups"!! I was reading one of my foo foo magazines the other night & in one of their workouts they had push ups & the model was doing girl push ups. I showed it to my dh & said "Look at that susie girl doing girl push ups!" :D Maybe my heads getting to big?

Hi all!

Did week 5 day 2 today, and discovered something shocking!!! I had mentioned that the numbers seemed to go down during the first few sets, and up during the last set, right? Well, I didn't notice until today that the number of sets GOES FROM 5 TO 8!!!!! YIKES!!!:eek::eek: So here are today's numbers: 19/19/22/22/18/18/22/45. (That looks insane just typing it.) Also, the rest time in between sets has gone down to 45 seconds. I ignored this and took 75 second rests. I think I did do better with shorter sets even though there were more of them. I also had to take short rests during the last set of 45, just a few seconds to catch my breath and give my wrists a break.

All I can say is WOW!!!

At that point I wasn't feeling too motivated to do a regular workout, but I decided to do the step portion of 4DS HIS. I got my second wind about halfway through, and decided to tack on the step from LIS also. So it ended up being a pretty good workout.

Becky, great job getting up on your toes! WTG! In answer to your question, I am a stay at home mom, although I do some freelance work for my husband's office from time to time.
