10 pounds !!!!! Friday Nov 2

I was so looking forward to this morning's weigh in, after a week of no snacks and strong workouts. Alas, no pounds lost. I'm a compulsive, everyday weigher and it's a struggle to not get on the scale every day. When I go a whole week without a weigh in, I expect to see the needle plunge. Sigh. But I'll continue to be strong, like Michele. With the support of all of you, who hopefully see better results than me, I'll struggle on.

I'm going to try to give blood this afternoon. If successful, that means a rest day. I'm planning a little bit of a cheat diet day today too, with a nice shrimp dinner with wine tonight.

Have an uplifting day.

Good Morning:

I used to be obsessed with the scale, but now try to weigh myself once or maybe twice x( a week. I have trained myself to not look for more than a 1 pound loss per week. I think that if you are lifting heavy, your muscles still retain water and although the scale does not reflect a great weight loss, your clothes show that you are losing inches. At least that's is what I keep telling myself! ;-)
I took the day off so my usual 4:00 am workout will be at 7:00. I plan on doing a 40 minute I-Tread.

Have a great day!

Deb:)

Morning! Happy weigh-in day! Robin, I'm sorry the scale wasn't kind to you this morning. I'm sure next week will be better. Remember to just keep swimming:)

Well, I'm happy to report that I'm down about a pound and a half. It's kind of hard to tell on my scale since it's one of those old fashioned ones and not digital.

Deb - I also used to be scale-obsessed, but now I never get on the darn thing. My clothes weren't fitting well, so I decided to have a look and there were those pesky 10 lbs. Hence the challenge.

Okay, I'm off to start logging my food for the daily challenge thingie, and to get my monster out of bed and ready for school.

Don't forget blowing up the purple pooper in your list of chores, Shelley.

Deb, I have head-knowledge about the water retention and scale issues, but I still don't have the heart-knowledge. I'm glad this check in is here to keep me honest, at least for another week.

Hello everyone!

My scale showed a one pound loss this morning. Yeah! HOWEVER, we had a busy night last night and I didn't get a chance to eat supper. When that happens, the scale is always down a little the next day. So even though I'm starving this morning, I'm not going to "make-up" for that lost meal!

Okay, my house is going to be candy free by the end of this weekend. DS and DD both have huge containers full of candy. Our deal is they can eat their candy through the weekend and on Sunday I'll "buy" their baskets for $10. Believe it or not, both of them would rather have the money instead of the candy! (Then I can get that candy out of my house!)

I have to admit I couldn't drag myself out of bed this morning. So, I'll be doing my work out tonight. Maybe next week I'll do better than just one morning workout. Have a great Friday everyone!!

Michelle

Howdy y'all!

Well, the weigh in wasn't so great for me. I show a 1/2 pound loss, but I really don't think that's statistically significant. Some days I'm up a pound, down a pound, and everywhere in between. I'm hoping to see something more significant next week.

I did well with yesterday's no sweets challenge. *pats self on back* Although, I'm not sure I could do every day.

This morning I started off right with BBC Shoulders and Back and non-treadmill cardio. Whew! What a workout!

Tomorrow, I am thinking of doing 4DS Bootcamp, Bis, and Tris. Not sure if my piriformis is up to doing Bootcamp, but I'm going to give it the old college try because I've been feeling really good lately and I think I can kick it up a notch. :) Wish me luck!

Morning! I'm not officially participating in the weigh-in, but I thought I'd stop by to congratulate all of you who are, and send lots of strong will power vibes. Good going, and keep it up!

A year or two ago I worked really hard to lose about 5 lbs. I remember it took FOREVER to get it started, but then the weight came slowly but steadily off. So just remember - this is only the first week, and a good, healthy, permanent change in weight loss takes a little time.

I will be watching what I eat veerrrrry carefully now. I've committed to at least one cardio-less week, so I have to stay on top of things! And actually, I've already missed several cardio days last week (a 5-day complete rest) and this week, with only 1 day of cardio and the rest as weights.

Shannon - that was so nice of you to stop by and send us some strong vibes.

Here's my problem -- I have dropped these SAME 10 pounds every year for the past 5 years. Yes, it comes off SLOWLY and it is hard. Then once I reach my goal I fall back into my bad habits and before I know it - those 10 pounds are back. UGH.

So, I think my new goal should be to drop these 10 pounds by Christmas and then KEEP them off!

I just realized Sunday we move our clocks back! Yeah! Maybe I shouldn't change my alarm clock and then on Monday I will be getting up an hour earlier (and that solves my morning workout problem). Could it possibly be that easy????

I have the same problem. *sigh*

We can DO this, though. We can get the weight off and KEEP it off. :) GO TEAM!!! :D

One question -- WTH is a purple pooper!? LMAO!!

I gained a pound  . There, I said it. I'm not surprised, after all, I indulged in a couple of pumpkin spice donuts, a couple of Reese's PB eggs, and some french fries this week ;) . Yesterday my diet was absolutely squeaky clean and that's what my goal is for the coming week -- to clean it up and to add more veggies. That was a goal for this week, too, but I still didn't get enough veggies in.

OTOH, I've worked out 6 days a week for FIVE FREAKING WEEKS

Cuz - Those donuts sound awfully good. I'm sorry they decided to stick around. You are doing EXCELLENT on your workouts!!!

That purple pooper is the purple toilet that currently resides in Shelley's basement. It came with the house, and she is going to rip it out today!!! Yay!!!

Hi!!

Well I stepped on the scale this morning and it showed a 1 lb. loss. Not sure if I really lost it or it's just one of those daily fluctuation things... Either way, I'll keep trying.

:) TGIF!

I went for a run with my cousin this morning. We were both pushing strollers. We did good, but it was cold! If I have time, I am going to do BBC chest and abs. We are supposed to meet tomorrow morning for another run, without kids!

Well, my scale was UP two pounds. But I have my period, and I am not getting my water in. I am not discouraged, just more encouraged!

Not weighing myself officially until Monday! Did good yesterday, no sweets, I did dip into the PB jar :) My period is right around the corner and I am getting that little "buddha belly" and my boobs are huge and I am grouchy.}( I am stuck here in the house all day because they are redoing our street, which is not a bad thing, I am going to join the November rotation check-in, I really like the new workouts even though i have sworn off the heavier weights.

I plan on adding one extra cardio and one Squeeze workout to the weekly rotation.

Purple toilet?:7 Oh my. Have a clean and happy day everyone. Condgrads on the losses, and forget about the one pound gain, those ups and downs can do a real number on your self esteem, lets start tracking those inches lost shall we?:)

Hi everyone,
Okay so not so good on eating this week...too much left over Halloween candy x( , a glass of wine last night }( ...grrr. I think I need to check in daily or else I just do not adhere to anything!! Maybe I too should start doing 10 push-ups for every bad diet decision?
New beginning tomorrow for me.

I weighed in down just 0.6 which could be considered just maintenance rather than a loss, but I'll take it. I'll consider it good if it goes down again next week.

Now I have to get back to reorganizing and cleaning--not even sure I'll get a workout in today but I'm at least being productive. I hope to shock DH with the orderliness of the house when he gets home. (I'll be lucky if he notices any changes at all.)

Why that is just lovely Shelley!}(

Edit: To ask Robin? Are you wearing a hat in your pic?:)

I did fit in BBC chest and abs. My chest is feeling pretty pumped. Gonna be sore. I liked this one, the instructor was pretty good.

Very nice SHelly! I want one! LOL!!
