1 Month New Year Challenge Nov 28-Dec5

Lets face it gals...only one month to go! I decided to change the name as I was typing it b/c it wouldn't make much sense if it was still a 2 month challenge.:)
Anyway, I have to get back into focusing on what I really want.I haven't been that good lately.But I haven't been as bad as I normally am either.
Last night I did a run after I posted.I felt so much better to.Before I ran,I felt BLAH,like I just woke up or something,dragging my feet.But after the run I felt like myself again.You would think that exercise would make you feel more tired but it snaps you right back to life.
Today is going to be a full body workout and cardio.I am not sure which videos I am doing yet.
We saw Christmas with the Kranks last night.It was pretty good.DH didn't really enjoy it.But hes a man.
How is everyone else doing? As for the scale, that hasn't moved in a while but I plan on changing that this week.I may even throw the cookies I made OUT.I love to bake but I am the only one in the house who eats it.Most of the time I will make something and then take it to work.Friday night I made short bread cookies with REAL butter:eek: but DH and his buddies ate 1/2 of them and I took the other 1/2 to work.See all gone.Sounds like I am trying to fatten everyone else up,and make myself look better!:)

Hi Lori, I am glad you renamed the thread. We only do have one month to go and I need to refocus. The scale is being good to me so far. I gained a couple pounds the day after Thanksgiving. I haven't been back on because I haven't been running and I have been overindulging. I went to run last night after dh got home from work. I met my mom at the park we always run in around 6. We started out and it starting drizzling, then it started pouring and lightening. I went back home. I ordered a pizza for dh and kids before I left, came home ate about 4 pcs. of pizza. Felt really depressed and guilty and went to bed.

I was feeling bad because I didn't run, but I shouldn't of ate all of that pizza!! Anyway, I am eating clean until my weigh in until Thursday. Hopefully I can maintain.

I will check in later to tell you what Cathe I did.

Good Morning......my eating has not been that hot either. It was really good until this weekend. I have kinda blown it in the foot. I am supposed to do a cardio workout today. I do not know if I ma or not. I will have to find something that apppeals to me. I feel kinda lazy today!!!!!!!! Well, here's to good eating for the rest of the month. Thanks for the reminder Lori, I needed that!!!

Hi girls, feeling much better today. My eating was great, went for a 3 mile run, plus one mile brisk walk, and did PUB.

Hi ladies,

back from home and feeling much like you are. I did well to do 2 Cathe workouts Thursday and Friday, but am certain that the dietary choices between New Orleans, my birthday, and Thanksgiving washed all that away. So, I'm feeling pretty much at square one. I am good about working out, but terrible at consistent dietary change. Am trying not to be too hard on myself given these rare situations all happening at once.

So, time to refocus. I didn't weigh last week (couldn't bear to see the results of N. O. and birthday) which is bad. I need to make myself more accountable! So, have tomorrow and Tuesday before weigh in. What are you ladies doing to refocus?
 
hi futurefitness, I said I was going to bed, but I am still here.

What I am using to refocus is that I will feel terrible if I don't get back on track! I know I will have no regrets at the end of this month if I give it 100%. We only have 30 something odd days until the New Year so this is totally doable!! I probably will indulge a little on Christmas. Also I want to fit nicely into my jeans (or whatever I am wearing) on Christmas day. :)

Futurefitness, I don't know about you, but I have about 20 pounds to lose. I am also looking down the road to summertime and I want to look great this summer and be at my goal weight. Cathe can help us achieve this. I am so excited to get hardcore!

Hi Girlies,
Sounds like everyone had a good day.I did ME in the A.M and had intentions of doing cardio tonight.But it didn't work out as planned.I am to lazy.
We put up our christmas lights to day.And of course when we finished,one set of lights didn't work.But of course they worked before we stabled them to everything.I hate redoing things.
I probably won't get a chance to check in in the morning.I have to be on the road early....getting my hair done.I will check in when I get back.

Hi everyone,

I'm glad you changed the Subject of the thread as it reminds us all that there is only a month left! So I for one need to get going! I did absolutely nothing today (by which I mean Sunday) except a walk with DH & Diana but no real exercise to it! I wasn't feeling all that great.
Well, today (Monday) is another day! Cardio only today, & I intend to do a solid hour or more of a circuit type thing...like, 10 minutes on the bike, 10 on the treadmill, 10 on the step, 10 on the ramp, 10 on the rebounder, 10 floor...I think that's an hour. I do this when I'm off-track because it's fun & gets me going again. Also, I can listen to music & just make up the moves as I go along.
Also today I start back on South Beach. ~sigh~ Really works though. Hope everyone has a great day...work hard now!:p

Ruth, south beach really does work. I am eating South beach-like now even though I am on WW. I am doing this to recover from T-day, and my pizza binge.

Running again this evening and I don't know what Cathe I am going to do.

Good Morning Ladies......Yesterday my eating was good, and I DID work out. I was so proud of myself. I did Power Half Hour's Abs and Buns. Today I am going to do CTX UB, and the cardio from SJP. I have been doing 2 UB, and 2 LB per week, along with some cardio. I hope with clean eating it helps me look a little more buff!!! I did not weigh myself this morning, my friend unexpectedly arrived, and I will wait until next week. I wondered why I have been wanting food so bad, now I know why!!!

Hi Gals,
I just got back from a 14kms run.My dog drives me insane and sometimes I wonder why I even bother to take him! He is a big dog and like to pull.I've tried every chain,choker chain,mussle...you name.Hes just a big dog and doesn't want to be tied on...anyway,we are home and I didn't give him away.
Other then that is was an o.k run.I had a bad belly part of the way around.
I have a crazy week and work and may not be able to check in alot.We are heading into the city on Friday.We are going to a party friday night and a concert saturday night.It could be a hard weekend! I hope I don't get sick!

Hi ladies,

Lori, I too have about 20 pounds to lose, and really really want it to work this time! Yes, I need to get back in the game and persevere this time! No workout today, as I'm sick (that really helps motivate me!) but I'm trying to remember that even if i can't workout, if I just keep with the diet, I should still see results.

I think I'd probably like to continue this thread beyond New Year's - what will we call it then? Slimmer summer challenge?

Hi futurefitnes, that name sounds great. You must of been reading my mind because I would like to continue this challenge also. It will be a good motivator for Summer. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Well stayed good with the eating plan today. Walked 4 miles briskly. I wanted to run but my running partner (mom) was feeling a little sluggish.

I am embarrased to admit that I haven't done any Cathe today or yesterday. I need to get back in the groove!

Hello Ladies,
How is everyone doing? I am at work all day, normally it is not that busy but I have been keeping myself occupied today.I get off of work at 4 and then go back at 6.If I can get a nap in there somewhere I may be able to workout tonight:) If I do it will be UB and some sort of cardio.If I don't get to workout then I will do this workout tomorrow.
Eating as been good today.I had two oranges for my breakfast and 2 slices of toast for dinner.the variety isn't that great but at least it wasn't junk food.

Eating has been good today, except for a few hershey kisses. I didn't work out today. I am having visitors over tomorrow, so I have been cooking and cleaning all day. Have a great night.

Hi ladies! No workout since Friday - hoping to feel up to it tomorrow (am sick) as I have several brand new Cathe's. Eating good since Sunday - not totally dreading weigh in tomorrow, kind of accepting that my numbers won't have changed pre-New Orleans (hoping they haven't increased!). Let you know tomorrow!
 
YAY, 2 pounds since I weighed 2 weeks ago. Steady progress even with everything else that's gone on the past couple of weeks. Very encouraging for Christmas holidays!

Hi Ladies......FFD, CONGRATS on the 2 lb. weight loss!!!!! Losing weight is such a great feeling. I have not weighed in over 2 weeks, but I will this Monday morning.

Today I am going to do KPC. I love that workout!!!!

Hi Ladies,
Haven't had a chance to check in today.We put new carpet in our living room today,therefore,the computer and everything else is out of that room.
I have had a busy day and tomorrow will be even worse.I have so many things to do and little time to do it this week.
Today I went for a run by myself,I normally go with my running partner,but everything in the living room as made it to my workout room.When she can't go outside I usually do a video OR run on the threadmill.Anyway,I went further today then ever before.I ran 15.5 kms.I was very proud of myself.
The scale was down today also and I can notice a difference in the way my clothes fit.When I lose weight I lose it off of my waist, which is where I need it.
I will check back tomorrow when I am at work unless DH as the computer put back together when I get home.
