Cathlete
Good morning, cheetahs! :)

Christine—IA getting started early on the fundraising is good. Party season it ‘tis. J How’s that DOMS from B&G?

Wendi—oh, this weekend’s the big party. Have fun & knock ‘em dead! That’ll be some nice kickback time for you. Take pics for us.

Carole—I think you are right—most families do have something brewing at any given time. How has it been for Karen? Are things tense?

Dallas—((HUGS)) I’m sorry MIL must not be doing well and your brother and mom were also just in the hospital. Thoughts and prayers are with your family. You are right—the social groups here are not private. I did have fun with yesterday morning’s workout. Don’t usually feel that way about 4 am workouts *lol*, but the news anchors on the local station were crackin’ me up.

Jackie—we’ll do our part to get those numbers up. :) Glad you were able to enjoy a quiet, get-things-done day at home.

Shelly—Oh boy, can’t blame ya for not wanting to become target practice there…Yup—since I’m aiming for short, as in 60-minutes-or-less, workouts this month, I'm makin' 'em count. Hope you enjoy your time with the ILs.

Judy—Nice job with the iTread and yoga. Oh no on the instructor possibly getting the ax. Guided WOs for the EXT are nice. I vary between iClimbs and doing my own thing. I enjoy creating my own challenge, whether by adding the weighted vest, doing sprints or circuits based upon commercial time, or like yesterday, just playing with the resistance, incline, speed, or direction in other ways to work up a good sweat.

Gloria—great to see you! I feel ya re: school. Our meeting is soon; I’ll let you know how that goes…Nice that your mom is enjoying the company in MD. The ITB seems to only squawk when I run.

Posh—how’s it goin’ over there? Is that pony still breathin’? Miss ya!

Hello to all others!

I will be working late tonight conducting interviews for the student travel program, so today will be a rest day.

Have a great one!

Good Morning Cheetahs.

Sorry I never got back here y'day. I had just enough time to do what I needed to do before heading out for the night. By the time I got home it was late and I went straight to bed. I don't have work today so I let myself sleep in until 6:45 this morning. Life is good. :p

I did well with my eats y'day up until dinner. Dinner is hard to judge since I had no clue what the nutrtion info was on the meal I ordered. I had a salad to start and then ordered a creole fish dish with broccoli and rice. It didn't seem like something that would be too bad. Unfortunatley I ate the ENTIRE meal but I didn't feel overstuffed when I was so that was good atleast.

Tonight I am going to my mom's for dinner. I will try to control my portion cause I know SOMETHING on the plate will be fried or made with butter! LOL I will eat well all day to offset it.

Surprisingly enough I am not feeling any signs of DOMS from y'day's work out. I will hit the gym at some point this morning in hopes of being able to run. If I can't then I will come home and do what's on the rotation. I think it's IMAX 2 which I like anyway. :)

Okay, gotta get DS ready for school. I'll be back in a bit to catch up with personals. I promise! :D

Hey There Cheetahs!

Wendi -Thanks so much for the compliments on my family. Glad you got your card. I’d rather be swamped than sitting around twiddling my thumbs, so that’s okay. ;) I guess the winter barns are stronger and warmer? But what a pain! I think people should go out and ride their own horses. :p I’ve always wanted a horse, but I wouldn’t want anyone else caring for him. I’d like to do that myself – but I guess I’m weird. I’m really liking this rotation. It’s what the doctor ordered. :p

Carole – yeah, I agree with what you said in Chicago – Everyone is normal until you get to know them. I sometimes wonder if there is really such a thing as a “functional” family. I think we’re all a little dysfunctional. :p Glad you got the card!

Dallas – Oh, I’m sorry to hear about your MIL. I hope you get in your long run soon and your hip feels better! B&G is a fun one. The rotation is actually very well put together. I’m enjoying it. I figured with Christmas being only 3 weeks away, I’d better get my butt in gear early this year! Oh that’s too funny – I actually figured you were talking about a family you “adopted” for Christmas! I really didn’t think much about it. :p

Laura – hope today finds you better! Yes, that sounds pretty typical for half training – you do 2-3 shorter runs (one should be a tempo or interval run), then one long run. Glad you are encouraged.

Jackie – Kimo is hanging in there. She seems to be about the same – no change in the last few months. She’s a tough lady! Yes, I’m enjoying this rotation! Always nice to get an unexpected day to yourself, isn’t it? Hope all is well with your mom. Sounds like you got in a great workout! Enjoy your run today!

Wendy – hope your shin feels better today! Glad you were able to finish the PP premix!

Shelly – I was thinking about you – wondering where you were! Sounds like life just has you busy!! But I see you’re getting in those killer workouts! :D As for the cards – we’re having my dad and a nephew of DH’s from India here over Christmas – I want to get everything done before hand so I can relax and enjoy. The cards are always a pain, so I try to do them early. Yes, I remember hunting season in PA – when you walk your dogs make sure you have something bright on them, too. Those hunters are crazy (and usually drunk).

Judy – glad you go the card. I’m sorry to hear they are talking about getting ride of your yoga instructor!

Karen – you and your mom remain in my prayers! Glad her appetite is better now. Good idea to plan now. Call Hospice. They were fabulous with my mom when she had cancer.

Gloria – Oh yeah – you at least have to knock on wood when you say the week will be slow. :p Oooh, a snow day! But that does suck that you lost the power. Hope you were able to stay warm! I, too, tend to make too much of stuff.

Cathy – Yes, Party Season it is! Although I’m not going to my office party – it’s being held at a dive bar, and it’s drinks only (they told us to eat before hand!). The problem with working for a start up – everyone is 21. :p DOMS is actually okay – not too bad – yet. I did enjoy B&G much more than I thought I would.

I’m dealing with a bit of a head ache this morning. I’m hoping it clears soon! I’m not as sore from B&G as I thought I would be, but lately DOMS has been hitting me mid afternoon of the next day so we’ll see what this afternoon brings. :p I actually found it not as tough as I thought I would. Funny. I did work it hard. Today will be cardio. Not sure which one yet, but I’ll let y’all know. Have a great day!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I think is is tense off and on for Karen. She works all day and sometimes does not get home til about 7-8, could be on purpose...:)..Enjoy your rest today.

Wendy..hope the shin is better today.

Christine...I agree there is some dysfunction in most families, and some just lie! LOL about the PA hunters being crazy and (usually drunk!!) Hope the headache goes away soon. Enjoy whatever cardio you do.

Shelly...I had been wondering where you were...:)...How fun with the in-laws. How long will they stay? You have been getting in some killer workouts as usual...Sadie came up with what appeared to me like a bladder infection. My Vet came in on Sunday to rule out any kind of bladder stones and put Sadie on some antibiotics. She is much better now, thanks. Yeah the Mom issues are not great but glad most of the stuff is out of the house so we are about done.

Judy..thanks re: Sadie. I hope they don't get rid of the Yoga instructor that you are liking!

Dallas...I am sure it was tough on Mom watching her house get packed up. I think we all had our moments. She will still live with Karen for the next couple of months til we can find her some senior Apts. I like the interval running, I was just a tad tired yesterday.

Karen...Hope you can avoid DH's cold. This sure is the season. Nice you got to watch the movie by yourself. Sorry about your Mom's confusion, the brain is quite interesting. Sending {{{HUGS}}} your way...

Gloria...thanks re: your thoughts on Mom and Sadie. Like Pip, Beau gets into stuff too!! Definitely the puppy stage!! Sounds like your Mom is getting in a nice visit.

Laura...How are you feeling today? I have allergy issues too but take meds all year to keep them at bay. I think you will be doing well in your 11 week training.

Jackie...Once your Boss gets his massage therapist to get the right pressure I am sure he will go back. So what time does he have to do to qualify for Boston? Nice of your DB to take Mom to the Dr's so you could have time at home and get things done. Good workout. So you are ready for your half Saturday?

I am doing L&G standing and a 6-7 mile easy run.

Have a great day...:)

I'm much better today but still did not work out. Sigh. By the way I feel today, it seems I'll be able to do something light tomorrow.

Cheers to all you Cheetah ladies! :D

Greetings, Cheetah Babes!

Hope everyone is doing well-- sorry to hear there is so much sickness & stress going around the den... Sounds like we all need another (((((((GROUP HUG))))))) here! :D

Things here are going well-- had some lovely DOMS yesterday from the KPC/L&G premix so I decided to skip the tempo run I had planned & did an hour of yoga instead. Don't want to tempt fate by running sore. Tempo run today. :)

Cathy & Wendi: LOL about NYE! There was a time that I was all about the parties, but with the kids… well, we’re lucky if we make it to 10:30 now! We usually have a nice dinner with DH’s brother & SIL—surf & turf and just keep things pretty quiet. We like it that way—at least at this stage in our lives.

Wendy: Way to go with the weight loss! That is awesome! I was with ya there on the run skippin’ yesterday, so you’re in good company! :D

Christine: I enjoyed your card too!!!! So fun! I am *learning* to love horseback riding… :p I love the idea of horseback riding, but my city-girl instincts make me a little freaked out on the horses sometimes. I am getting a lot better though! :D Hope the headache passes quickly for you…

Carole: So glad to hear Sadie is doing better! Hope things with the family ease for you—family stress is so difficult during the holidays…

Dallas: Oh no… so sorry about your MIL. Thoughts & prayers!!!! Yep, I’m on the FB… holy addiction, Batman! ;) It’s been a lot of fun getting back in touch with old friends! :D We'll have to look each other up!

Jackie: Good luck with the upcoming race!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOOOOO JACKIE!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL about smelling the hot chocolate. :D Oh! And looks like I missed your birthday too! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Laura: Hello there! That’s awesome about the Half. DH & I are planning one in March. (if we draw out for it… *fingers crossed*) I’m sure you can do it!!! Get well wishes to you!!!!!!!

Shelly: ITA about staying off the roads during hunting season!!! That can be scary! I realize most people are very responsible and safe, but you always worry about those few…….

Judy: Ooh, those one foot balancing poses are killer! I was doing some yesterday & was wobbling all over the place!!!! LOL…

Karen: So sorry to hear about your family’s struggles… Get well wishes galore!!!!!!!!!!! (((((HUGS)))))

Gloria: I feel the same way about the personals—I feel so guilty when I have to forego them. This time of year can be so crazy!!!!!

ACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DD2 just came in the office with her bowl of cereal and I notice that there is now a trail of milk & cheerios through my house. Guess that means I'd better go!

Hello to the rest of the gals in Cheetahland!!!!!!!!!!!

hello

Howdy Cheetahs,

Well, I’m going to attempt a “quick” post so I can still get a workout and make my lunch before heading to work. I haven’t posted since Sunday because I just don’t like posting without personals. LOL Sorry folks, but I’ve just been using up all my round tuits this week on other stuff like um, going to work (lol), getting in the workouts, errands, appts, and for the past two evenings DS has been waiting for me after work (I get off at 8pm) to help him print/assemble a huge project that is due today. I’m feeling very DOMish – can hardly wash my hair and type (lol) and am about to kill the legs in a few to match the rest of the body.

Cathy – Hey Slice! CHyeah, the poor ol’ pony IS still breathing. Actually the window traffic has slowed down and thankfully I’ve been back to my once-a-week for 3 hour assignment there. Nevertheless, all my other PILES at work are screaming “me first” and then of course I get interrupted constantly with a new problem to solve…lol…sometimes I feel like whippin’ out a cape and flying around the office! LOL ah, well, I really do like my job though and we have lots of good times too, so it’s all good….Enjoy the interviews – uh, who you interviewing?

Wendy – I think you can get nutrition info to Applebee’s online. Oh, and from the post the other day regarding nutrition info, when I re-upped with the Cathe nutrition all my info was still saved – just so you know. Enjoy Imax 2 – haven’t touched that is ages. Haven’t touched any step in ages for that matter..lol

Christine – Guess I better get my glutes to the USPS and get my mail, huh? LOL. Chyeah, Christmas card completion and mail is on the agenda for the weekend. Good plan you have re: get er done so you can enjoy the holiday and family. Oh, and count me in for a donation too, sweetie. But I do have to wait until January 5, as I don’t get paid nuthin’ in December…boo. Having headache issues too, think it is just weather silliness going from freezing azz in am and real warm in afternoon..

Carole – Hey, don’t think I mentioned before that I was glad to see ol’ Sadie was doing better. I don’t like when my “kids” get sick either. Our vet just made another house call the other day, for routine shots though, but after this year’s happenings and frequent visits, we’re starting to feel like old friends – maybe I’ll send her a Christmas card too! :) Hey, you in official marathon training mode now, huh? Woo HOO Go Super Carole! yeeessuuh!

Brighton –LOL re: the Cheerios! My DS is 16 (and a 1/2-gotta add the 1/2!) and he STILL leaves trails of cereal and milk! He fills the bowl too high and then pours too much milk in and then walks and takes bites while trying to balance the whole shebang. Gotta love em’ though, huh?

Dallas – Prayers and well wishes to your family and here’s (((((HUGS)))) for you! It’s so good of you to adopt a family for Christmas. This year my funds are limited so I couldn’t adopt a family by myself, so this time I am sponsoring jointly with someone else (gifts and a Christmas dinner basket). You really should muster the courage to deliver yourself; it is so heart-warming to see the joy and excitement on their faces – that is gift enough for me each year. And even parents are usually very thankful and relieved to receive the Christmas dinner fixin’s for their family as well. Ok, sorry to ramble..lol

Karen – Continued prayers and hugs for you and your family.

Oh dear, looksee the time! Gotta get be gettin' jiggy wit me lower body beating now!

Hello to all Cheetahs to follow! I’ll try to get in some more chatter this evening…

POSH :D

Good morning Cheetahs!

Gloria - A snow day! The kids here would love to get one of those. Mom is doing fine. Thanks! She had her annual check up for her heart. She had a heart attack a few years ago. Glad your mom is enjoying her visit in MD.

Dallas - Glad you were able to get some shopping off your list. Work is fine as long as it's something you enjoy doing. I could retire next year on my birthday but I'm not ready to sit at home yet. With the econony the way it is now, I don't think I could afford it either. Thanks for the BD wishes. Mom's appt. went fine. She goes back next year. I don't do too much baking at Christmas. I leave that for my mom. I did make a peanut butter pie yesterday. It was yummy.

Cathy - Are the interviews for the trip to Europe? How many interviews? Enjoy your rest day from workouts.

Wendy - Sounds like you had a pretty healthy dinner unless it was slathered in butter and some creamy sauce.

Christine - Glad to hear Kimo is hanging tough. She has such a good mommy too. Loved having the day off. I still have a few more to use and I'll probably use them all around Christmas. Mom is good. Hope the headache goes away so you can enjoy your cardio workout.

Carole - If I remember correctly, boss says he wants to do a 3:30 marathon. His brother is going to pace him Saturday. I am ready for Saturday. Looks like the temps will be in the 20's starting out. Don't want to over dress but I don't want to freeze while standing around waiting. Enjoy L&G and have a great run!

Laura - Glad you're feeling better.

Brighton - Good idea to give yourself another day for a tempo run. Bet that yoga felt good. Thanks for the good race vibes and the BD wishes. Funny about DD and the milk and cheerio trail. Cute!

Posh - Don't worry about personals. Just pop in and say hi. Sounds like some mighty good DOMS you have going on. Did the legs survive the brutal beating?

I did CC#1 and did Yoga Legs and some foam rolling. Will probably just do some stretching or yoga or something light tomorrow.

Enjoy your day ladies!

Hi Peeps.

I just got back from the gym and I'm relaxin' with my lunch. :)

Thankfully I was able to run today without any complaints from Mr. Shin. :p I did Itread 16 and Itread 9/20 min Itreads back to back. 9 is one big hill! OMG I about died!:p When the torture was finally over (LOL), I rounded it out with a little steady state to bring me up to an even 4 miler for the day.

Posh: Thanks for the info on Cathe's nutrtion site. Good to know for when I feel inclined to log my eats again! :) Wow, hair washing issues rank right up there with toilet seat issues! Gotta love the DOMS! :D

Brighton: I actually love to run with a sore lower body. I feel like it helps to work out the kinks. There IS a limit though. If I'm TOO sore then it's not worth it. So you are not a NYE gal either huh? NYE is not actually a big deal to me TBH but it's just a great excuse for a party and that's what I like about it! It's become a tradition for me and my hubby to go down to AC with my mom and her SO for the holiday. We eat, drink, gamble and laugh alot. I also like to get dressed up once in a while and this gives me the opportunity to. :D

Christine: Sorry about the headache. Did you wake up with it? That's the worst. I hope it went away quickly.

Dallas: Congrats on the BF going down! I haven't checked mine in quite some time and have no plans on checkin' it until well after the New Year! The shin pain probably was connected to the sore calves I'm thinkin'. Probably created by the BC cardio X 2 and KPC being done back to back. It's all better today though so no worries. :)

Gloria: Nice to have a snow day but BOOH on the power outage. I hate when that happens. Sorry your week was busy when you were expecting it not to be. You are right-don't say anything next time. You obviously will jinx yourself!:D

Karen: (((HUGS))) Good job keeping up with your work outs. Great way to help relieve some of the stress.

Judy: I'll have to check out myfitnesspal.com as another option for logging my food when I am ready to get back into it.

Shelly: Had to smile about visiting relatives being incentive to give the house a good once-over. I am like that too. We need to have company more often though!

Jackie: How nice to get a day off to do for yourself. I like UML. I don't do it off but I think it's a goodie. I am happy to say that I think this cold is FINALLY inching it's way out the door. Getting better every day albeit very slowly....:) Well I made it a point last night to stay away from anything with cream in the description! LOL Not sure about the butter. The plate was not swimming in grease but you KNOW they used SOME FORM of it to cook with...hopefully it wasn't too bad though!:p

Laura: Glad you are starting to feel better already!!!!!

Wendi: C'mon girl! You do some CRAZY work outs! You can certainly handle B&G with a 10# vest on! DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!!!:D:D:D

Cathy: Damage control is a good plan for this month. Yeah, we are going to AC for NYE. It's become tradition. It's alot of fun and I just love the opportunity to get dressed up. Being a SAHM I spend lots of time in extremely casual clothing. Being able to glam up is fun for me when I get the chance. :) Anyway...I love AC regardless so NYE or not, if I can go, I am there!:D So who did you interview this evening-students who want to take part in the program?

Glory, I am finally caught up with personals! Phew! LOL

Off to the showers...gotta be outta here in 30 to pick up DS from school!!!

Lator Gators!

Just wanted to say “Hey” and hope everyone is well! I will try to get caught up with everyone!

My workouts have been non-Cathe :( I feel guilty. But they still have me screaming with DOMS!

Dallas – Oh my! I am so sorry you are having so many family members that are having health issues! I hope everything gets better with all of them! I will keep them and you in my prayers.

Christine – I got your card and letter! Thank you! You have a beautiful family! I have “got” to get my cards out! Hope your headache gets better soon! That is about the same amount of time frame my DOMS had been hitting me, too!

Shelly – Sounds like you had an awesome HCE workout! Seems like I was in the same boat as you! Just work, work, work :( Trying to keep my head above water with my workouts and have been doing them in the evenings.

Cathy – Enjoy your day off! But sorry you have to work late! (but the interviews would be cool!)

Posh – I hear ya on the ‘round tuits!! It is going to be a tough thing trying to get everything done the next month!! Enjoy your lower body workout!

Brighton – Good job on your KPC/LG yesterday! The yoga sounds like that is just what you needed today! Ooops on the Cheerios and milk!

Carole – Enjoy the run and L&G!

Wendy – It sounds like things are going real well for you in the eating dept.! Me, on the other hand…..ha!

Karen – I am sorry that things are not getting any better. You guys are still in my prayers.

Jackie – Good job on your CC and yoga! Your race is getting close!! :)

Tuesday – I did Squeeze Lower Body Challenge, the abs from Squeeze Custom SQ and ran 6 miles.

Last night I ran 5 miles and did the Full Squeeze from the 1st Squeeze DVD, + the fold over planks, and B&Ts.

Hey to everyone! Gotta get busy!!

Hiya cheetahs! Well, surviving the in-laws visiting so far! Actually, they are quite happy to sit and just watch TV all day.... whatever! DH and I just do our normal routines and chat with them now and then.

I went into work very briefly for a follow up education session... not too painful this one and actually quite helpful. I have some serious booty DOMS from GSL yest. I haven't done this one in a while and really laid it on with the weights.... OUCH!:p:D

Judy- So what's with your club and keeping it's instructors? Very frustrating for you I know!

Karen- Thanks for the update on you and your Mom. You are a pillar of strength and an inspiration to us all!

Jackie- My folks back in Az. seem to be doing fine except they miss me of course.... thanks for asking! I forget... is your big race Sat or Sun? Sounds like you have it well planned out with lighter more stretching type workouts now.

Gloria- Noticed on the news you've been slammed with some super cold weather already... and you had a power outage??? Hope you managed to stay warm! I'd definitely be sticking with the TM for your weather way up north there!!

Dallas- At my jobs we often "adopt" families at Christmas.... it is fun to do and makes makes you feel so good.... just what the Christmas spirit is supposed to be all about! Hope you are getting a well deserved and great massage today. Hey, you can PM me anytime with a medical question... don't mind a bit. Of course I may answer with "heck if I know!" but I'm always happy to provide my very humblest of opinions or any info.

Cathy- I suppose if I wore a nice bright orange there would be little risk in running outside.... but it gives me a convenient excuse to stay indoors and warm anyway! What an interesting day for you with the interviews! Very important I imagine to choose which students qualify. How many apply and how many spots are available.... approximately?

Wendy- Ah.... a wonderful sleep in morning when nothing is pressing... just love it!! I'd say the dinner last nite sounded pretty good to me and couldn't have done any damage.... not with your uber fit metabolism baby! So you haven't converted your Mom into more healthy food preparation?? Very happy to hear that your shin didn't bother you today... that did sound worrisome at first. Fabulous tush kickin TM workout today!

Christine- I hadn't even thought of any danger to the dogs during this time of year... thanks! They are rarely off our property but still.... !! Sounds like you are going to have a full house for Christmas.... should be a memorable one for you. Well, the booty DOMS you were expecting but didn't get go transferred to me instead (LOL) after doing GSL.... thanks!!!

Carole- Ma and Pa Cardone are only here for a few days... probably til Sat. So far they are quite content to just hang out in the living room watching TV all day. We get alot more channels then they do and they aren't terribly active anyway. I just do my own thing. Wow... your vet came in on Sunday?? I'm impressed! Glad to hear most of the work of moving your Mom is done and soon you can turn the page on that particular chapter and move on!! Hey, talk about killer workouts... you aint doin nothin so shabby yourself there superCarole!

Laura- glad you are feeling better.... definitely worth takin the time off!

Brighton-- oooohhh GROUP HUG???? LOVE IT!!! Ah... feel better now! Very wise move to opt for the yoga yest.... should make for a great tempo run today! LOL about the trail of milk and cheerios.

Posh- Feeling DOMish? You may have just invented a word I believe! So is your DS's project officially done yet? What a MOM!!! Are your legs still alive???

Linda- Yes there are many days when I have to resort to getting in the workouts in the evenings. Does it seem to interfere at all with your sleep when you do this? Supposedly it's not a good idea to work out vigorously too soon before you sleep but I've never had a problem with it. Speaking of Squeeze... you have the newest workout of hers don't ya? How does it compare with the first one?

Got in a pretty decent steady state 4 mile run earlier and in a bit I'll head down to my basement sanctuary for GS CT:eek:. Will also get in a session on the EXT later.

Shelly - Working out after work used to make it a little difficult for me to fall asleep. But lately, it seems as if it doesn't bother me at all. I actually like sleeping until 6:30, instead of getting up at 4:10 a.m! But, lately, I have to go with the flow...sometimes morning....sometimes evening. When I workout in the evening, I have to start right when I get home and not put it off at all, or it will be too late. I think the new Squeezes are really good. I like the upper body in "Sq. Stronger "a lot more than the first "Squeeze". "Lower Body Challenge" is really good. It didn't feel "that tough", but I was so sore the next day! The hamstring work literally caused my hamstrings to feel like I had a permanent cramp yesterday and last night! (I did it on Tuesday). I was also sore all the way around my hips, thighs ...down to above my knees. Sq. Stronger is 80 minutes in length. LBC is 30 minutes. I will need to do it a couple more times to really figure out if it is something I will use regularly. So far, I love them all! :)

Hey Cheetahs!

Dallas: I did make it from scratch, except instead of using phyllo dough I used low fat crescent rolls. The phyllo dough can be a pain to work with and I wasn't in the mood to deal with it. It turned out great! I know I have not pm'd the soup recipe , but Saturday I will have the day to myself. No DH, no one, and bad weather. I will be planted here and I am happy about it! That is so sweet you do that for the "adopted" family! :)

Cathy: Yes, please let me know how the meeting goes. I am glad mom is having a good time. Although, I had a feeling this would happen. They said her stay over will be at least a week. My uncle hinted in a joking tone to send the Christmas presents there. I don't think my mom can be away from her pets that long. We will see. My youngest sis is taking care of them. Wise to stay off the running with that dang ITB. How are things with the travel program?

Christine: I checked the mail this morning and was happy to see your card. Thank you! I will be working on mine Saturday. I do a read aloud with my class and my favorite is The Autobiography of a Stray by Ann M. Martin. I always think of you when I read it to the class. I know it is a kid's book, but I bet you would love it and speed right through it. Hope the headache was short lived and you got in some good cardio!

Carole: Yes, I think it is full puppy stage right now. Wow. When I get up, she gets up and is ready to rock and roll. Mom is apparently having a nice time in Maryland. Awesome workout!

Laura: Hello! Come back when you are feeling better! :)

Brighton: Great workout! Sounds like you are doing some good workouts and listening to your body. :)

Posh: You have been doing great getting everything in! That is most important! :)

Jackie: We all dig the snow days around here! My mom has some health issues too. I am happy to hear she is doing well! :) I'm thinking I need some foam rolling tonight. Enjoy your light day tomorrow! :)

Wendy: Nice run with no shin pain! Yeah! :) The power outage was a pain, but it seems to go out a lot around here. We had a huge ice storm a couple years ago that knocked it out for three days! All the stores were running out of bottled water. Luckily, school was cancelled. I can't imagine going in without a shower. Keep up the good work with your food intake!

Linda: It seems no big deal to be non Cathe, as long as you can get in what you like, all is good!

Shelly: Yes, we are freezing up here! TM is the way to go for sure! Good to see you and glad you are doing just fine having the fam around. :)

I am freezing! I had recess duty today and it was 19 not counting the wind chill. I can't believe how much snow we have already! DH said we have 18 inches on the roof! The ten day forecast is snow, snow, snow. This is really unusual this time of year. For those worried about the power outage and keeping warm, we heat primarily with wood, and use propane for backup and appliances. We were doing just fine. :) Just didn't have the usual ammenities. :)

I ran 4 miles after school yesterday and did Finn yoga this morning with Pip wanting to play along. Not so much feeling the bliss when your dog is licking your face and getting in the way. I love her, but she has been a bit more active these days. The wood stove is finally cranking out some heat so I will take off my snowmobile suit and get in my jammies. The BF's are getting married tomorrow night, so I will see you all on Saturday!

Take care everyone!

Good Evening Cheetah Babes.

Gloria: Oh have fun at the wedding! I love going to weddings! :D

Shelly: My metabolism is just not what I'd like it to be. If it were, I would not have gained almost 5 pounds in the last couple of months. Oh well, it is what it is. *shrugs* I am fighting back now though and WILL get the weight off!!! My mom will improve her eating on an as needed basis. It's never been what you call a lifestyle change for her. I mean she makes it a little less fattening by not using real butter and when sour cream is involved (another of her faves) she uses the low fat kind. She also fries in olive oil I think which is healthier then some alternatives but when you are frying something almost every night it's a bit much, don't ya think? LOL

Linda: Sorry the eating thing isn't going well for you. Is it because of the holidays? If so then I wouldn't worry too much. I was just eating like crap cause I felt like it! LOL I'm thinking about getting the original Squeeze dvd now that the price has dropped. :)

Okay, all caught up...off I go....C ya in the morning peeps!

Evening ladies,

I'm so tired right now, but thought I'd pop in really quick. I started my workout on the EXT, but after approx 10 min thought to use CC#3. I got back on the EXT and it was dead as a door knob. After monkeying around w/the cord, circuit board, etc. I gave up and used CC#3 on my spin bike. Guess what I did...the plug not only plugs into the wall, but the machine too. DOH!! TG! I didn't know that and of course my brain is fuzzy at 4A. I did Tracey's post cycling premix. That's it for today.

Gloria ~ Don't worry about the soup recipe. Whenever is fine. :) Don't waste your precious free time on Saturday with that! Seriously!! I made that Greek lentil one...it sure was clean!! lol I didn't mind, but no one else liked it. I've heard that phyllo is hard to work with. I guess that's why I never got too excited to try that recipe. I'll look for your variation. Thanks! Do you make it a habit of sitting around in your snowmobile suit? ;) Or were you out having fun?

Linda ~ How does Squeeze compare to B&G? You have me interested. Thanks for the prayers. You're still getting in some great workouts.

Shelly ~ Thanks! I'll PM you after I finish this. I know, I really enjoy shopping for the families every year. The massage was a half hour, but she focused on the hip. I think she found every single trouble spot. She wants to see me again on Sat. Nice workouts! I'm envious of your bootay DOMS! ;) I'm using the GS upper body workouts and will figure out my own leg workouts that work w/this hip. How long are your in laws staying? Glad it's going well. :)

Wendy ~ Glad your shin pain is gone! That was some workout today. WTG! Yeah, let's see if it stays that way through the holidays re: BF%! ;)

Jackie ~ You have my curious about that pie! Where's that yummy smiley?:D I love, love peanut butter, natural, of course. So, what did you do to celebrate your b-day? I can understand about not wanting to retire with the way things are now. Is there a race expo?

Posh ~ lol'd about your round tuits.:D I know, I should deliver everything myself. I almost did for this year, but chickened out. Thanks for the prayers, hugs, etc. :) How did that leg workout go? DOMS settling in yet? ;)

Brighton ~ lol'd about your DD and the cereal. IA, FB has been fun getting back in touch with old friends. I originally started because of these dear Cheetahs. :) I wish I could get there more frequently. Yes, I'll send you a note. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. It's been a long 6 months. :(

Laura ~ Glad you're on the mend.

Carole ~ I'd enjoy any type of running at this point. I saw the chiro after the massage and he said I might not like what he had to say...that it could take 3 months to heal if I did any serious tissue damage. UGH! I hope his massage therapist worked her magic again. It's sore now, but she said that it would be. Yeah, I bet it was tough re: the house...all the memories. :( That was an awesome workout today. :)

Christine ~ Thanks! No, no long run...I was just wishing. I just have to be patient right now. I was fine and then it came back. You know I was thinking the same thing the last time I did the Leg Blast premix. I love B&G!! I hope your headache went away and you were able to get to your cardio.

Cathy ~ Thanks again for thoughts and prayers. **sigh** That's what I thought about the social groups. Thanks for confirming that. Well, I wish my news channel was as funny as yours at 4a. :D Oh, your ITB when you run and my hip when I run...we'd make a great pair! :p How did the interviewing go? Oh, I meant to say that the Seinfeld picture was funny! That really was a funny show. Yeah, send a little of those "serenity now" vibes this way too! ;)

Well, I think I'm caught up. DD just got home from basketball practice.

Have a great night.
