Good morning, cheetahs—
Wendy—Glad you’re getting something out of the class despite it being boring. I really enjoy the heck outta that WP Buns & Thighs workout I have, and I don’t mind Mari, either…Well, that’s what I was referring to in terms of giving yourself credit—charm/sociability—you get the idea. I love the UA Cold Gear—nothing keeps ya warmer as a base layer, IMO. Good thing is you can wear it on the slopes, too. Glad it was a nice visitation at Joey’s school. It sounds like they do some wonderful things with the kids.
Judy—sounds beautiful up by you. What a drastic change of weather you’ve had, huh? Glad your foot is a little better.
Wendi—must feel great to conquer that much of the to-do list, doesn’t it? WTG. Hope you had a good day.
Linda—so you are a wearer of those CW-X tights, huh? Are they as good as I hear? IA with you about the snow. How much accumulation did you get?
Christine—it’s amazing, isn’t it, how people like that somehow manage to find their way at the top of the ladder? Sending you some anti-stress vibes for the busy morning.
Carole—Guess I was “generously blessed” in that department. J Oh, you look adorable in the painting. What a lovely gift for your mom’s BF to give her. I have never seen or heard of the Malibu chair.
Jackie—I understand not feeling like posting in the evening. Sometimes I have because browsing the forums felt like a way for me to decompress and that way I stayed caught up, but lately, one post a day during the work week is about all there is. I don’t know if there is hope left for this brain. My desk is covered with Post-its right now. I don’t know where to look. *LOL* When I do yoga on my own, it is usually between 20-30 minutes long. That is the optimal length for a yoga session for me, although I will say I did benefit from the 90 minute sessions at the last studio I attended. But on my own, no…Great job plowing through when you didn’t quite feel like it.
Posh—hope your dental appointment went well. OMG, Depp and McConaughey? Love your taste! J That would be a BRILLIANT series. Oh, that was so kind of you to buy books for the kids’ classrooms. I wind up spending a good chunk at those things, too. More books! I can’t stop. J How's that Anita Shreve title you were working on?
Brighton—no way, I *love* Hitchcock! That is funny how the Friends thing turned out for you…I used to be competitive with myself, but after a hiatus from running that was several years long, that’s no longer the case. I gained weight during that time and while I have s.l.o.w.l.y taken most of it off, I still need to lose some more before I can be concerned about that again. At any rate, I don’t race much anymore. But it’s cool. I started running as a way to cope with grief, so it just has always meant much more to me than strictly fitness or personal goals…I am similar—I always get my shopping done by 12/1. I don’t like it getting to crunch time at the holidays. Too much traffic and chaos for my tastes...Oh, it sounds like you have a creative DH. Fun date night!
Shelly—great job conquering the cold!...Well, I wouldn’t go on and say I’m a Monday “LOVER”…*LOL*…they just don’t bother me usually…It is hard sometimes to get my mind to be still for yoga if I have a lot going on, but I find when I stick with it, it truly does calm me. I don’t consider the kind of yoga I prefer to be a “workout” but rather a practice that benefits my body and mind. However, as you may know, some forms of yoga do work you quite hard. Anyway, some people get it and some people don’t. If it ain’t for you, no big deal. Do your thang. OK, you made me laugh about workin’ those 12-hour shiFts. Only you left out the “F.” Great comic relief!
Karen—simply, more (((HUGS))). So sorry for this nightmare you are experiencing.
Kept it to yoga last night. Perfect way to end a mentally busy day! Later today: a run (probably on TM if I’m working late) and abs.
Have a great one!
