Good morning ladies!

Last fly by, I promise:D:eek:!!!! Just wanted to send out some serious.....

{{{{{CHEETAH POWER}}}}}

GOOOOOO LINDA!!!!!!

I actually did get DM in this morning and had a great workout...probably the strongest I've felt doing that workout and got the highest calorie burn I've ever had with it so I'm quite happy right now:D.

I've got another long riding list for today but will be home plenty early enough to catch Linda's race report and catch up on personals:eek:. Mom never was able to come cuz she's been either working or sleeping this weekend...her job has been putting her through he*double hockey sticks*
lately (90+ hours/week). Gosh, I feel so sorry for her and there's nothing I can do for her:confused::(. On top of that, I just found out that my father got layed off and, therefore, she won't get her alimony :(. I feel so helpless *for* her.

Anyway, enough bringing doom and gloom to the thread. Have a wonderful Sunday ladies!

P.S. Have NO idea why the formatting just got wonky:rolleyes:...sorry about that!

Good Morning Girls.

I tried a third time to post y'day when I had the chance but IE was still at it and then I ran out of time.

The party was fun. The hostess did her best to make the food look gross. She made spaghetti and meatballs and made the meatballs look like mice/rats. She had salad and made radishes look like eyeballs by peeling most of the skin off (so it looked like bloodshot eyes) and then she made a hole in the radish and stuck a spanish olive in there. Very cute stuff.

So I walked into the party with my biker babe outfit on and the host (not hostess) took one look at me and started laughing! Normally that would probably have made me mad but I did look funny. It was a Halloween costume after all. I must admit though, I didn't expect anyone to LAUGH.

One of the girls there (one of DH's cousins) complemented me. She was outside when DH pulled up to let me and Joey out of the car so he could find a parking spot. When I got up to the door (I had Joey in my arms) she told me that she never knew I had arms like that. That my muscles are huge and I look really strong. She made my evening-especially considering how "puffy" I've been feeling/looking lately...Thank you Cathe! :):):)

Well let me post this novel and then I'll do personals seperately just incase IE decides to crap out on me again. I don't want to lose EVERYTHING!

BBIAB!

First things first....

GO LINDA! GO LINDA! GO LINDA!

You are gonna do AWESOME today girl! Go get 'em!

WOO HOO!

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Time for personals....I HOPE!!!!

Wendi: Awww, sorry your mom had to cancel her visit because of work. What a bummer. :( That's bad news about your dad too. Well hopefully he'll find work real soon. Good job with DM! That's a tough work out!

Christine: Glad you enjoyed Tough Love. I remember when I was taking the spin classes at the gym every week. Fast standing spins in a light gear are tough. I always felt like I was out of control or something.

Jackie: Great run with your neighbor. Looks like you've found yourself a good fit in a running partner. Enjoy it! :)

Shelly: You are quite welcome for the pics. I got my print that I ordered from the race. Now I have to pick one of us that DH took, get it printed out and go on the hunt for a frame for them. :) Joey dressed up as Thomas the Train. I'll have pics posted soon.

Dallas: Nope, no 1 RM's for me. I'm not looking forward to it at all so I'll probably put it off for as long as I possibly can. :p Joey was Thomas the Train for Halloween. I have pics now of all of us (me and Sal too) so I will upload them today and get them on here for you to see.

Posh: Love the lady bug graphic for Linda!

Cathy: Good job making the most of the Denzel movie! Let's not use food and the holiday season in the same sentence, alright? :p

Carole: So didja' get the cleaning done y'day? I do well once I get on a kick with it but it's soooo hard to get started.

Okay, I'll add to the big colorful banners.....

Go Linda!!!!!!! The cheetahs are with ya!

Hi everyone! Hope your Sunday is going well so far. I'm heading out soon for my 20 miler. It was nice to get that extra hour of sleep. I haven't dealt with the daylight savings time change in a long time!! At least I didn't have to work last night!!! That is rough on night shift workers, especially when your shift is 12 hrs long..... make that 13!!!!

Dallas- If your GI system has been hit hard by a bug it can take a while before things get back to normal. You're doing everything everything you can now in choosing wisely what you eat. I've done a few 1RM on the STS but like you I need to get crackin on that also.

Christine- This part of the country, including my coworkers, are the most unhealthconcious I've encountered I'm sorry to admit. I've found only ONE store in the area that has a decent health food section and I was so happy to find it I was almost in tears!! I have yet to encounter a single runner outside (besides myself) That Tough Love workout must be a doozy if it had you winded!!!!

Cathy- I have very little hope of "reforming" any of my co-workers (see note to Christine above) Bad eating and lifestyle habits seem to be a tad ingrained in the culture here. However, they are decent and very kind people and when you get down to it, that's really alot more important! Nice EXT workout last nite... I almost always have the TV on for my sessions on the EXT... takes my mind off the work!

Wendi- Great job with DM today... still on my all time favorite list for circuit workouts! I do feel for your Mom.... tough situation and all that work really wears a soul down! Prayers going out for her!

Wendy- Sounds like it was a fun party with a very creative cook! I remember a party I went to many years ago where there was a "kitty litter" cake. The topping looked just like kitty litter and there were tootsie roll "turds" on top! I'm a tellin you buff babe you were undoubtable very impressive looking in your biker babe outfit!!

Later y'all!

GO LINDA GO!!!

I know I missed ya! I'll be gone all day. However, I'll try and check the thread from my Blackberry to see how you did. :)

Wendy ~ That is awesome!! It's nice when you hear those compliments when you're least expecting it. :) I think we're all so hard on ourselves. You work hard and it shows!

Christine ~ Tough Love sounds challenging! Yeah, tell that to my kids. ;) Today was early too. Of course, Daylight Savings didn't help. Oh well. So, how was the party? Did it turn out later than expected?

Wendi ~ WTG on DM and a high calorie burn! :D ((Hugs)) for your mom. :(

Cathy ~ Love those cute little running smileys. :D Oh no, another rotation option!?! j/k I had just made my mind to start the lower body one I found. Hmmm. ;) When will STS ship? I know - I need to venture out of Cheetahland once and awhile!! I wonder if I have time to do both rotations. Well, I think it's great you even started doing the 1RM! I love watching movies while on the EXT, spin bike, etc. I think I'll watch SNL for this cardio session. Hope it was a good one. ;)

Hi to all the rest of the Cheetahs checking in...better get crack-a-lackin'. We have two soccer games, of course, in different locations. I can make both though. :)

Have a great day!

Oh, I'm doing cardio and abs today. DUH!

Hi Shelly! Posting at the same time...I had to edit my post because my message to Linda looked puny next to yours. :p;) Yeah, that would stink having to work an extra hour. :eek:I never thought of that before. Thanks re: the GI thing. I was getting a wee nervous, but will give it some more time. Enjoy your 20 miler! :)

Wendy ~ You snuck in here too. Can't wait to see the pictures. :) I guess I've procrastinated too re: 1RM. I wonder how long it will take. What have you read is the best time to do it...rest day?

Hi Cheetahs!

No time, just want to say hi.

LINDA: YOU WILL DO GREAT! :)

No workout yesterday. I will run today. We have to go to DH's cousin's banquet. Talk to you all later!

Good morning cheetahs

14.gif
on your 1st Marathon!! Sending strong cheetah vibes...Can't wait to hear how it went!!

Cathy...I was crackin up myself hearing Jack! Yes, we do need the rain here. Hoping it is not too bad today. Which Denzel movie did you watch? Enjoy your run and upper body workout.

Wendi...way to go with DM. WOW, your Mom is working horribly long hours. Sorry to hear about your Dad getting layed off.

Wendy..good workout yesterday. Yes, I did get some cleaning done yesterday. You are so right as it can be tough to get started!!

Shelly...we were so happy the Dr let Mom put weight on the leg. I know she will be moving around a lot more now. I hope the rain is not too bad for the run today also. Isn't PUB the best! Good luck with your last 20 miler today.

Christine..WOW, 2 weeks severance is mean! I just hope you don't have any problems. Hope you and DH had a nice time at Diwali. Glad you got to come home early. High 5's for getting through "Tough Love"...you rock!!

Linda...A good sign you got the same number!! I am enjoying the rain as I know we need it bad.

Dallas...thanks re: my Mom. I could stand to tackle my fridge too! Good job doing your workout with the wonky stomach. No, I have not started STS 1RM. Hope the soccer games go well..:)

Jackie...we had had rain of and on. I am sure we will get some while we run today. Sounds like the run with your neighbor went well. I bet you enjoy the company.

We went out to dinner last night for DH's work. Cathy, I finally got some Spinach Ravioli!! It was very good. I also had some Carrot Cake...YUM!!! I really do hate having just iceberg lettuce in a salad though!! I feel like I need to run far today to burn off that dinner!!

We are planning on 16 miles, mostly on pavement, by a local river. I am hoping for not too hard of rain...:)

Have a great day...:D

Wendi—Good job with DM & the massive calorie burn. Hope the endorphins bring your spirits up. If not, maybe it’s time to pour some. Spirits, that is. ;)

Wendy—glad your IE is behaving for you this morning. Great compliments on your guns! Bet that guy wouldn’ta been laughing if you’d used ‘em to toss his azz out the window in true biker babe-style. *lol* ‘Cause we all know you could do it!

Shelly—Practically spewed my tea over the kitty litter cake. Well, THAT’S certainly inventive. *lol*...Re: your co-workers—that would be my philosophy exactly. When we go to meet the big cheese in the sky someday, I’m sure She or He will be more concerned with how we treated others than with how low our resting heart rate was or how quickly we ran the mile. Glad that you get to work with good people. And hey, if they don’t share your love for fitness, they’ll at least be keeping you in business. ;)

Dallas—hmmm, don’t know when STS is shipping. I thought around Christmastime, but I’ll admit, I haven’t been staying on top of any announcements around here.

Gloria—enjoy your run, and I hope the banquet is a huge success. I’d still like to contribute if you have the info to share. How is she doing?

Carole—simulposting. I didn't catch the name of it. It was already in progress when I tuned in. He played a gangster named Frank Lucca (sp?). Russell Crow and Josh Brolin were also in it...I still have a hankering for spinach rav myself. Bet it would have been delicious there. Nothing like fresh homemade pasta. Have a great 16 miler today! I'm sure you will burn it all off and then some!

Okay girls...I can't get the pics uploaded into my album in Cathe-land. They are too big and I can't figure out how to resize them.

This is Joey and his friend Jonathan in the school parade. Joey is Thomas and his friend is in the red James costume in front of him.:)

341362153.jpg

This is Joey and his girlfriend Kayla at school eating cupcakes together after the parade. :)

This is the sign on the porta potties in PA where DH drove the race car. I just thought it was hysterical with the little girl squatting w/her pants around her ankles. Thought you girls might get a giggle out of it too. :D

Cathy....That was "American Gangster"...long movie but I liked it. How can you not like anything Denzel was in!!

Wendy...WOW...Joey is TOO cute!!! Great pics, thanks for sharing...:)..loved the porta potty girl..:D

Quick fly by for me but.

GO LINDA!!!!!!!!!! We love you. :D:D:D:D

Good weather, easy run, tons of water, no cramps and meditative thoughts for a great full today.

Happy Sunday Cheetahs!

GO LINDA GO!!!!!!!! I’m anxiously awaiting your race report! Sending happy running vibes and all that!!!

Cathy – Thank you sweetie! I love the LOL site – it makes me chuckle. I ended up with a pedicure set. At first I had 12 mugs (I went first), and I was sitting there wondering what I would do with 12 mugs, but then someone didn’t want the pedi set, so we switched, thankfully. DH always complains that I end up with something lame. But, I like the pedi set! :D

Wendi – Good job getting in DM! I hope your mom’s job gets better! Sorry you didn’t get to see her! Enjoy riding…

Wendy – Sounds like you had a fun party! Nice compliment! Way to go! I have the standing and spinning under control, but the light gear high speed spins – well, I tend to get ahead of myself. I cannot believe how BIG Joey has gotten!! Adorable photos!!!!

Shelly – Enjoy your 20 miler. ITA that the extra hour sleep was nice! Man, it was nice to wake up to sunlight!! I have to explain the concept to the dogs, though – they were not happy. :p Oh having lived near that area, I would totally agree with you about the health conscious status of the area. It’s an interesting place – mainly good, but …

DallasWell, daylight savings helped me – after getting in a midnight. Yeah, the party was fun. DH even came home with me!

Gloria – Enjoy your DH’s cousin’s banquet

Carole – I agree that 2 weeks is mean, especially after the service that many put in. I would expect a start up like this to pay more. So, I have to keep that in mind whenever I have any reservations about quitting (if I find another job). Enjoy your 16 miles. Looks almost clear here – hope you have the same!

The party was fun. I did well (avoided all wine, and only drank water, so I was more careful about selection and fullness). I did have a few too many sweets (Indian sweets are so different, and I only get them once a year). As I told Cathy, I ended up with Pedicure kit for my Diwali gift – so I’m happy. We got home around midnight – DH came with me as he was tired, too. I thought I wouldn’t be able to sleep because I had tea and coffee, but as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out. Note to self – a really hard core workout is probably not the best of ideas if you’re going to be standing around most of the night!! Today will be GS Back and some abs – then either a hike or a light bike ride.

I was watching CBS Sunday Morning (I love that show) and they were talking about Rabbit Hatch, Kentucky where “Goofy” (a dog) won the election for mayor years ago, and the people were so happy with the job Goofy did, that they now elect animal mayors all the time. This time they have dogs (male and female), cats and a Jackass (hey at least he’s honest). I just had to chuckle… :p

Hiya cheetahpals. Got in a fairly decent 20 miler today. Okay, this is what I get for complaining to Christine earlier that I've never seen another runner here. What do I encounter today? Coming my way another honest to god actual running person:eek::eek::eek::eek: Gave a nice friendly wave and I felt very encouraged! Well, now starts a 3 week tapering period for me:)

I was thinking of Linda of course and wishing her the BEST!!!!!

Christine- I like that tale of the Ky town with a dog for a mayor! Too cute! Great that you ended up with a party gift you could use:D
Have fun with GS today!

Wendy- That little guy of yours is just TOO CUTE!!! Great costume:)
I did get a kick out of that gotta go potties sign:p

Cathy - LOL about staying in business.... you are so right! When I see the people in this area what comes to mind for me is JOB SECURITY BABY!!!:p

Carole- Are you all soggy now??? I hope not. 16 miles is awfully long to run in the rain:eek::eek:

Hi Karen, Hi Dallas- Hope your weekend has been a good one so far!
I think that about catches me up for now. Later y'all.

CONGRATS, LINDA!!

Taking a break from grading to share Linda had an AWESOME finish. Said she will be posting her report later but gave me the green light to let you guys know. Her time was 4:52:19.

ROCK ON, LINDA!!!! I know we can't wait to hear all the details.

Now I've gotta get back to the work pile. These tests are taking a little longer than expected, but if I can't beat the sundown, it's OK...the TM or EXT are always an option.

Will definitely come back later to read Linda's report, so I'll do personals then! :)
