MTV Pilates MIX (mix feature answers...I think LOL!)

Okay, I went to the mix feature and this is what I discovered: Since you have to choose at least 3 segments in order for this feature to work.. if you skip past the arms section the options for legs and abs will only be BOTH. I assume the reasoning is that you will choose both of at least 1...

Cathe, will we be able to choose our own rep range with the Hardcore series?

Sorry, if this has been addressed before. I was just wondering if we'll be able to choose our own rep range for (at least)the upper body work depending on our desire to build mass or lean out?

    ? for you Francine

It seems like you've had your B&TR the longest. Have you had to replace the resistance bands yet? How often do you use it? I'm just wondering how sturdy the bands are especially since they've discontinued the B&TR. Thanks, Valerie

I wonder....is there a chance that the bun and thigh ro...

I've seen pictures of the bands and also read that the B&TR is discontinued. For you guys that have one, do you think the day may come that you go to use it but 1 or more bands pop and there's no way to replace them? Obviously then the B&TR would be unusable(unless you added weight plates)...

Attn: Honeybunch or Francine! Another BTR ?

I'm on the fence about getting a BTR and just had a few questions. Some people have said the BTR exercises can easily be done with a stability ball. Which one is more effective? Does the BTR work the entire thigh or just the hamstrings. I'm looking for something to challenge the entire leg...

    Attention Bronzed Goddess!

I read your post about the U/S finding a cyst on your babies brain. At my ultrasound they found an echogenic focii on my babies heart. Though they aren't related to each other I did research and found out that both conditions are VERY common in babies. Heres a website that I found extremely...

Do you plan to get an epidural?

Just curious as what you guys are planning? I had an epidural with my 1st child and thought the pain relief was WONDERFUL but I hated how numb my legs felt afterwards. It was very uncomfortable. I also think I got a headache at the base of my skull from the epidural. The pain would come back...

    Any 1st trimester moms-to-be here?

HI, I found last week I'm pregnant with #3. THis will be my first pregnancy working out. I've seen that you guys are very supportive of each other on this board! That is great, but I've also noticed that a lot of you have already delivered(congratulations). Just wanted to know how many are...

? for those who've had success with lifting "heavy"

I was reading one of threads about losing inches while lifting heavy and it got me thinking. Does lifting heavy mean you are lifting what's heavy for you or are you lifting so heavy that you need a spotter? When I read posts about people being a size 4 because they lift heavy I wonder if you...

    Flaxseed during pregnancy

Just wondered if any of you guys are using flaxseed during this pregnancy or have done so with a previous pregnancy. I read conflicting reports about flaxseed so I'm unsure what to do. Also, if you are using it, did your doctor recommend it or have any comments about it. Thanks, Rockette

Once you have a full-sized step you'll never go back!!!

Hi guys, I'm so excited! Friday I decided to go in Play It Again Sports on a whim and lo and behold they had a full-sized step for $50. I had just decided to wait until Mother's Day or my birthday and put in a request for one but I couldn't resist. Since they also have an option to make a...

Cathe's Wedding Video and Bodymax ?

Hi guys, I'm about to purchase my first Cathe video and it's kind of confusing with all of the choices but I've narrowed it down to Rhythmic Step and BodyMax or the Wedding Video. This is what I'm looking for, a step video that doesn't involve a lot of repetition and is easily modifiable...

    Engaging your core

Hi Cathy, I thought I'd write now hoping that you'll have time to answer because I know you'll be very busy in a few weeks. I read an old thread the other day on the fitmoms preg. forum(I think). The author was referring to keeping her abs muscles pulled in tight. I wanted to make sure I...

    Jogging during pregnancy

I've just started jogging(the last 2 weeks) and I plan on trying to get pregnant in about a month with baby #3. I've read before that you shouldn't start a new fitness program when you're pregnant. Is this something I can continue once I'm pregnant, even though I'm relatively new at it? One...
