    I really have only done 2 of the 4 elements of RICE fully knowing I was slowing recovery but I can't seem to take the time to slow down and elevate and ice or for that matter compress (forgot about that one). I have been resting (kinda LOL) and taking ibuprofen (anti inflammatory like ice LOL)...

    It still gets sore anytime I do a step workout or bounce around but it is not hurting during the day when I'm not doing the workout, so that is an improvement. Also when I wear certain heels... I was told some time ago that I have a deteriorating knee from being not quite aligned correctly...

    I did squat rack legs after plyo messed with my knee big time (I got through week 2 before I realized I couldn't do #3!) I do have a bar pad. They aren't that expensive - $12-15. It is worth it. I only have Cathe's 10# vest so what I did was use one of my daughter's backpacks and loaded it up...

    Thanks for all the responses. I stopped doing plyo legs and went to squat rack legs and have been avoiding step cardio. That has helped a lot. I think plyo kicked me into a tailspin... I just need to alternate step with others and probably should avoid plyo altogether...

    I didn't do ice mostly because I'm rarely in a position to do it. I suppose I could do it right before bed... I basically laid off exercise for a few day and tried to limit upper body moves so that I didn't overuse it. It is helping. Not 100% yet, but much, much better. Oh, and lots of ibuprofen!

    At least that is what I think it is. It hurts from the inside back elbow and up in the middle of the shoulder and the tricep itself is very sore. In the last workout of STS, I could not get my tricep to work and only afterwards realized it was hurt... I guess I'd gotten used to ignoring the dull...

    1RM incorrect

    I did on a few. I think part of it was not truly understanding what I was supposed to be doing, or simply having bad form. Also, if I go much slower I can lift quite a bit more, but then put me into meso #1 and I die with the correct 5%!

    Anyone Gaining Weight?

    It doesn't, or I should say, at least for me it doesn't. For some reason, even though I'm working to failure, did all my 1RM tests etc, my heart rate just doesn't spike as high so that my calorie burn is normally significantly below what is listed in the workout tracker.

    I did this yesterday and yes, I have the strength gains. 5% in some cases, and more in others. I admit I did struggle on a few to get the last reps but hey, I did it! :) I know I feel stronger, and there is a noticeable difference in my muscle tone. Thanks Cathe! Now on to legs tomorrow...

    I totally believe in PTs but for my insurance to pay, I have to have a prescription and it is just too expensive to go it alone. I have realized that I have no swelling in the knee area but some in the lower quad on the inside of my leg as it attaches to the leg/knee. Hmm...

    Less DOMS in meso 3?

    I had lots of DOMS in Meso 1 and 2 and in the first week of Meso 3. Almost a week long DOMS in the triceps for Meso 3 week 1, but since then, very little DOMS at all. Kind of bizarre. It is as if my muscles acclimated VERY quickly.
