    HC Chest/Triceps-Push-ups!

Hey all...just wanted to comment that the first time I saw the descending sets of push-ups on this workout I thought there is NO way I'd ever be able to do all those on my toes. Well...I just did the workout for the third time yesterday and decided to just suck it up and give it my best...

Recovery Weeks -- Do You Believe In Them

Very good question, will be interested in what Cathe has to say. This is a common principle in sports training and since I train for marathons and triathlons I generally find the best results by taking a recovery week about every fourth week. Cheryl

    We NEED this Cathe.com product!

Kathryn, I have that Karen Voight mat too and agree it's the only thing I'd be able to use while laying on the step surface. Cheryl

    Seperated abdominals: please elaborate!

Cathe, you're an inspiration to me Hi Cathe, I wanted you to know that you’ve always been an inspiration to me and even more so now that I know that you are dealing with a challenging health condition too. I was diagnosed with Lupus about 9-10 years ago. It’s an auto-immune condition that...

Question on Hardcore GS-1 bodypart per day enough?

I know what you gals mean about shaking things up....I've been alternating a cardio and weight workouts from the new series every other day this week and it's a good shake up for my body right now. I think I'll try to stick with this for 4-6 weeks. When I get closer to the start of triathlon...

Question on Hardcore GS-1 bodypart per day enough?

Hi Lynn, I wondered about this myself. I have been doing one bodypart per day because I train for marathons and triathlons so don't often have time to do an entire strength workout on top of my other training. Initially I'm trying out the GS workouts in their entire format but after a couple...

Valentine's Day, Doubting Husband and Pikes on the Ball

Ha ha that is great!! My husband did the same thing to me a lot over the years. But ever since I finished an Ironman triathlon last Sept. he doesn't doubt what his little wife can do either [grin]!! I owe a lot of my strength and muscular endurance to Cathe because her workouts about all that...

    Half Marathon??and Intensity Series??

Hi! I have run 8 marathons and 15+ half marathons and have been able to incorporate Cathe's workouts pretty well. Your schedule does look pretty much the same as what I do and it has worked well for me. The only exception is when I get to the really high mileages for the long run (20+ miles)...

Advice for staying fit as we age

Amy, I just turned 42 and I'm in better condition now than I was in my 20's. I noticed the first major shift in my metabolism when I was about 32. And I think I may be going through another shift right now. Varying your amount, type, intensity of cardio will definitely make a difference and...

    Hardcore Presale starts Now!

Thanks Diane Thanks Diane, I'll keep checking back. I have almost all of Cathe's workouts and I agree that I've never been disappointed in my purchase and have always preordered. My problem right now is being able to afford it with my husband out of a job for over a year now. Cheryl

    Hardcore Presale starts Now!

How long is the presale? The reason I ask is that my husband is still out of work and our finances are really tight. So need to know how long the presale will last and perhaps I can work some overtime to cover the cost. Thanks! Cheryl

    Runners?

Hi Tia, congrats on starting a running program! I love to run, I do marathons and triathlons pretty much year around (triathlons in summer and running races in fall/winter). I normally run 3 days per week sometimes 4. I pretty much weave all of Cathe's videos in my program. But I do find...

    BFL check in Week 11/2

Hi all, Wow great to see more people!! Shopgirl, it sounds like you could try making your cardio more intense. Colleen has a great suggestion on making Tae Bo harder. I have lupus which affects my immune system and joints so I have a hard time doing intense strength PLUS intense cardio all...

    BFL check in Week 11/2

Good morning all! I had a good run workout this morning (on my treadmill) followed by some pilates. I'm still a bit sore from the half marathon I did last weekend, should be good for heavy lower body strength by tomorrow though. Rhonda, thanks for sharing what you've been eating. It sounds...
