    Cardio Fusion

Yeah you have to know BM2 pretty well for this workout. I'll be honest, I am not in good enough shape to do this one all the way through. I've tried several times. I'm hoping if I keep working at it, I'll be able to do it at some point.

    New Cathe dvd

I *love* LIC. I find the step portions to be really fun.

    CTX Upper Body Split-WOW

The only workout I don't care for in the CTX series is All Step. I find it way too confusing. I ought to pull it out and work on it. This really is a great series.

    Low Impact Workout DVDs

I like LIC and Lowmax, but I wonder if kick boxing might be better for your knees right now. I prefer LIC because of the weight segments, but both are fun. I especially like the step only premix on LowMax. I'd keep my step lower too. I've only been using 4 inches lately.

Gym Style vs. Slow and Heavy

I'd go with the Gym Style series. I think either one is effective, but there is a more fun factor in the Gym Styles. I have both and hardly ever do the S&H.

Do I need a barbell set?

I don't think it's any less effective to use dumbbells instead of the barbell. There used to be a beginner barbell set at Amazon that cost around $25 including shipping. If space is an issue I'd say not to worry about using dumbbells instead.

    I did it!!!!

There are some very old step workouts that I don't have, but I'd never do them. Otherwise I have all her tapes. I've been mostly doing the new series since I got it, but I'd love to do a rotation using the new ones with the Hardcore series. I'm just not very good at putting together rotations.

    Now THAT'S a tuck jump!

I try to do tuck jumps, but they are very hard for me. I stay away from the mirror when I do them. Cathe makes it look so easy!

    Help with footwork?

I found the step work much more challenging on BM2 and LIC. In the past I have picked up the choreography pretty quickly but I had to rewind these workouts over and over and over. It took me a while, but I finally got it. Cathe does do similar moves in each video, but these took me a long time...

    B & G - the good and the bad

I love this workout. The floorwork is pretty tough for me, I don't use weights.

    NO EQUIPMENT WORKOUT

This would be a great workout to take on the road. Resistence bands are easily transported, so that's a good idea as well.

    Lightweights speak up!

I haven't been on this forum for a while, and I had slacked off on my routines until I got the new series. I'm finding it challenging to get back into the shape I was around the time the Hardcores came out. I see a lot of you are using an 8" step. I can't frigging believe you people can do BM2...

Firewalkers - using stronger band yet?

Sheesh I didn't know there was a stronger band. Not happening here yet!

    I'm amazed...

I'm amazed at you guys! I've been struggling to get back into shape after taking a while off. Doing anything on an 8" step is completely out of the question. I'm working on it though!

    Next DVD

How do you find the intensity to be on these videos? Are they right where you want to be? If so, I'd say Imax3. I like Imax2 and Step Blast, but those workouts are combined with circuit workouts.

How are you cued when filming?

Hi Cathe, I recently posted and asked questions about the production process, how many rehearsals there are, how many takes there are, that kind of thing. I'm still curious about that, but I also was wondering if you use a teleprompter or cue cards when you are filming. In other words, how do...

    Questions about making workouts

I've been wondering since viewing the new dvds. How much do you rehearse with the crew before filming? Do you make a lot of mistakes while filming? Do you have to do shoots over? I'm especially curious because the ladies seem to be doing things like pushups on the ball that are quite difficult...

Whilst we are waiting patiently ;)

Hi Liz, Here's the problem. I don't think we are waiting patiently. Well, maybe you are, but I know I'm not. So maybe if I could control my patience factor a little bit, they'll throw us a bone. :-) Melissa

    Equipment/time for Terminator DVD

From the web site: http://www.cathe.com/Terminator_Chapters.htm 'a, step, a 14 inch tall bench (High Step), a barbell, various weighted dumbbells, and a medicine ball (we will use an 8 pound medicine ball)' It also gives a breakdown on times for each sequence, but I'm too lazy to add...

What's up with the CTX Upper Body Split?

I have the VHS version, so I don't have the bonus upper body work that's on the DVD. It comes up on January's rotation for tomorrow. What's an acceptable substitute? How long is the Upper Body routine? Am I deficient in some way because I have it on VHS? Should I switch to DVD? I've always been...
