    Kathryn, your opinion again please!

Kathryn, don't laugh at my question, but following on from your comment about the effects of gravity on the face, have you ever tried facercise (eg Carol Maggio?). I've dabbled but never managed to do it regularly enough to know if it works. Just wondered (always like reading your posts!):-)

    Kathryn, your opinion again please!

Maybe they mean the average person who lifts a few weights. I don't think the level of exercise that Cathe does is average, and I doubt very much whether she will ever be flabby.

Need Help in a Big Way

Cathe posted a rotation based on the basic step and body fusion DVDs. It is in the rotations forum, but I have pasted it here: June rotation double header: Hi Everyone! Sorry that I am having to post this so late. This month's rotation will feature a double header: A beg/int rotation and...

How much weight for Slow and Heavy

It depends on whether your legs feel challenged towards the end of each set. If you feel that you need more weight, you could try wearing a weighted vest. I haven't tried one, but have seen them advertised.

Is one day a week overeating bad?

If it is a regular day per week, perhaps you could eat less the day before and the day after to even out the overall number of calories.

Thanks Cathe! You are up very early today! :-)

    Qu about low ends

Hi Cathe and crowd! Are low-end squats equivalent to heavier full range squats in terms of gaining strength/muscle? Low enders obviously "feel" much harder, but I'd like to understand what is actually going on in the muscle in terms of the exercise being strength or endurance orientated. Does...

    Got such awesome news!!!

Missy, I know what you mean about the taste. If something has added sugar I really taste it now, and its not good!

    Got such awesome news!!!

Re the sugar thing, I notice that I have a lot more energy when I completely avoid sugar too. It has taken me months of going on and off sugar foods to get to a point where I don't crave it anymore. I feel so much better I don't think I'll ever go back. As well as more energy, I seem to need...

How can I get the thigh teardrop faster?

There is a sissy squat type move in callanetics that does amazing things for the shape of my quads. It uses no weights and burns the thighs like no other exercise I've done. :-)

    Intermediate Tank Top rotation

How about this for an intermediate level tank top shoulders/arms rotation using the new sculpting workout... Day 1: Total Body Sculpting plus Pure Strength Shoulders Day 2: Cardio Day 3: Total Body Sculpting plus Pure Strength Biceps Day 4: Cardio Day 5: Total Body Sculpting plus Pure...

    Muscle Max question...

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the mix and match option is for people with pre-programmable (is that a word?!) DVD players, so that they can create their own workout with different sections of the workout in the order that they please. The chapters option allows you to start the workout at...

    Yay for Low Impact Step!

I really enjoyed Low Impact Step last night. The choreography was more complex than I expected, but explained well enough for a beginner to grow into. I would describe myself as intermediate when it comes to step choreography - with this tape, I had to concentrate to get it right first time but...

Let's play: Ultimate Cathe Collection in 5 workouts

Some of the old ones are still my favourites. I would say: 1. Maximum Intensity Strength for solid total body weights 2. Pure Strength series for effective split weights 3. Interval Max-2 for step with intense blasts to increase cardio fitness 4. Kick Punch & Crunch for a different kind of...
