Do you consider yourself and athlete...?

Yes I'm an athlete. I just find I keep changing what I compete in. In high school I did springboard diving and swimming 6 days a week. In University I played intramural sports (waterpolo, broomball, soccer, volleyball, basketball, floor hockey, indoor soccer, flag football), swam and...

    Compilation DVDs

The Terminator is quite seamless. There's enough time to grab your weights and if you want to grab water you can always press pause. My favorite circuit workouts are on Terminator. The Gauntlet and the Viper are a lot of fun, challenging and get the sweat flying. Hardcore Extreme is choppier...

    What's your favorite cardio workout?

My favorite workout is dancing. During the winter I do advanced jazz dancing. The class flies by and is always over too soon. The music is awesome and it feels amazing when you nail a new move. I especially enjoy pirouetting. This year I hope to nail the stag leap. I too really enjoy kickboxing...

Love the "toasty" remark in GS chest & triceps!!!

RE: Love the You're right it's pyramid upper body that she says that during the down pyramid of biceps. I was doing that workout last week and I definitely felt like I was having an out of body experience. I used to do that workout with 8s, 10s and 15s because I didn't have the 12s. Well I got...

    GS C&T pushups

The first time I did the workout I did all 72 pushups but had to go onto my knees for the 10s, 8s, etc. The first time I was able to do all of the pushups with straight legs was either the seventh or eighth time. One difference was I had my rest day the day before. I found I had to build up my...

    Bloopers!!

Seeing as there is only so much room on a disc, I would >rather have the DVD filled with premixes than with bloopers. I totally agree. I'd rather have premixes than bloopers.

    Low Impact Circuit DVD Premixes

"how's about reshuffling the order of these to create entirely different drill sequences from how they were originally filmed? I do think that would keep people's mental focus up. I know it would mine, and I need all the help I can get." I totally agree!

    Body Max 2 Premix Suggestions?

Premix #2 - I would love a bootcamp style premix (65 to 70 minutes long) Premix #3 Circuit with lots of cardio and blasts similar to Terminator's Gauntlet Premix #4 Surprise me!

    Drill Max Premix Suggestions?

I too like Jillybean's suggestions. I agree with A-Jock...please shuffle the order in the premixes (i.e. not the same order as originally filmed). I love variety. I like longer premixes rather than shorter ones (60 to 80 minutes please!). Thanks for asking for our input.

Yippee DOMS after Gym Style Legs

I put Gym Style Legs back into my rotation this week. I then had a 40 minute cardio blast swimming in high waves at the lake. My legs are still feeling the DOMS two days later. Yesterday I was so excited to feel shaky quads, hamstrings, gluts and calves. I haven't had DOMS in my legs in months.

    water + resistance

My favorite activity is also swimming. I suspect swimming doesn't help with bone strength because water makes you bouyant. For increasing bone strength I've read in fitness magazines (such as Shape) that high impact activities (like the IMAXs) are excellent for increasing bone density...

    lulu lemon

I love their high support sports bras. I'm an A-cup and the style of these bras is totally flattering, and prevent bouncing. The only difficulty is removal after a workout (I feel like I'm a snake shedding it's skin). I've also got a pair of their yoga pants which I love when I'm doing jazz...

    Terminator dvd

Gauntlet is 70 minutes long. I've got all of Cathe's workouts and this is my personal favorite circuit workout. I've done it 20 times. The Viper is 80 minutes long. I also enjoy it. I'd call it an endurance circuit workout. I've done it 15 times. Imax2 extreme is 75 minutes long. It's strictly...

What activities can you do because you do Cathe workouts?

I just got back from Jasper, Alberta. I had an amazing time hiking up a mountain, horseback riding and doing a 3.5 hour extreme mountain bike ride. I know I do Cathe workouts 5 to 6 days a week but this was my first real mountain bike ride. I had tons of energy and tackled the mountain...

Do you have a favorite non-Cathe workout?

Kari Anderson's: :) Reach :) Angles, Lines & Curves :) Angles, Lines & Curves II I find they work well for increasing flexibility and working the core.

Which dvd gives you the most doms where?

Gym Style Chest and Triceps always gives me DOMS. It can be up to 4 days for the chest especially as I can now do all of the push ups with straight legs. Pyramids upper body gives me bicep doms. High Step Advanced gives me DOMS in the triceps (especially when I manage to do all of the one...

    CTX

I really enjoy CTX. They're perfect for days when you don't have as much time to work out. The best part is after the 30 minutes of cardio you feel like you've had a workout. It's fun because if you're doing a cardio day you can mix two different cardio styles together. The CTX upper body gives...

    Imax 2 or 3?

Imax 2 is probably my favorite of the interval maxes. I like the music and I really enjoy the choreography. I personally don't do cardio & weights very often. I'm far more tempted to toss in Terminator (which combines Imax2, cardio & weights, muscular Endurance and Bootcamp) if I want a truly...
