    Cardio in cross-trainers...???

    I wear a New Balance cross trainer for stepping & kickbox (needed the extra stability in side to side movement) but I use Asics running shoes for elliptical, running, TM, etc. I think you need to use what works best for you - whatever that may be:)

    True, but 50 calories/point is a reasonable guess in the absence of a points calculator. I actually looked up the patent @ one point to get a guess on calories per food point vs calories per exercise point and found that 50 cal/ food point is a reasonable guesstimate as is 100 cal/ exercise point.
