Is Diet Soda bad for losing weight?

I think that it is bad because of the sodium and chemicals. If you are trying to lose weight, you should try to drink lots of water instead of soda.

Anyone here suffer from IBS? HELP!

I suffer from IBS too, but with diarrea and bloating. What sets me off is extreme stress (I developed this when I had a boss at work that pushed me very hard everyday, long hours and extreme stress) and I have to be very careful with certain foods. I stay away from yogurt, a lot of dairy...

    Dumbells instead of barbell

Cathe, Do you think it would be as effective to use dumbells instead of a barbell in most of your workouts? Dumbells are just easier for me to grab and I can usually lift heavier with them. Thanks!! Oh, and keep up the great work! I love your workouts!:-)

carbs and the rest of the world

Of course if you cut out a major part of your dietary choices you will lose weight. I believe its a fad also. I just don't think it can be healthy to eat bacon, eggs, steak, cold cuts and cheeses. Yuck. I believe in moderation, variety in your diet with an eye towards eating clean and...

O/T: Is this another double standard? Please advise

All I can tell you is.. there are a lot of jerks out there-- but there are also a lot of nice guys out there too. Just be glad that this relationship didn't go further than it did and that you can walk away from it. You will eventually find someone who is sincere, who can love your son as he...

Crosstrainers or Aerobic Shoes for Carpeting

I switched to crosstrainers simply because it was so hard to find good aerobic shoes. The crosstrainers work great for me as I do a variety of different workouts anyways. I like New Balance as well as Ryka. Ryka tends to run a bit small though.

    Can you function without exercising?

RE: Can you function without excercising? Its good to give your body a break every now and then. In fact I usually take at least one or two days off during the week, your body needs the recovery time. But as far as skipping workouts, I agree, I don't feel as energized or good if I skip my...

    Anyone use Clinique acne products??

I went to a dermatologist a few years back for acne. He told me to use Neutrogena soap (which I still use) and clinique products. He also prescribed topical retin-a and it worked. I agree with everyone's recommendation to see a dermatologist because everyone's skin is so different...

Do you own ALL or most of Cathe's w/o's ? And if so.....

I have every single one of them except for Ab Hits-- I just use the ab workouts on the DVD's, so I have been holding out on getting that one. I would highly recommend the CTX series. I have been enjoying the Intensity Series and the Body Blasts A LOT lately and am pretty hooked on the Body...

Totally OT: Anyone have/know a Basenji (dog breed)

The basenji is not a breed for everyone, especially the first time dog owner. Some breeds are easier to train than others-- please look at the reviews at this site from people who own or have owned the breed: http://www.hoflin.com/BR/Basenjis Or try this link for breed reviews in...
