Anyone with RA doing or have done STS??

Hello, I don't have RA; but my sister does, so I know a bit about it. Each individual is different, and I don't know the extent of your RA or how often you have flares, but the general school of thought is that weight lifting is good for people with RA...

    Equipment questions for STS

It's not really needed if you have a squat rack, but might be nice to have for certain leg exercises using dumbells or if you wanted a weight change without changing the dumbells. I want one but have spent quite a bit lately on workout equipment...maybe next month...

    Daily Check-In Wednesday 3/2

Hello, can anyone participate? Today's workout was short but sweet: Iron Core Warrior Boot Camp with 15 pound weights. The workout is designed for a heavier kettlebell but that's all I had (memo to self: Get 25lb kettlebell).

    STS legs - splitting

I agree, best results come from pushing through the entire workout, but pay attention to your body too...if your muscles are cramping, if you're pushing to the point of injury or where you cannot safely handle the weight; then stop. We all come to STS with varying types of workout backgrounds-if...

    90 day supreme

I have Chalean Xtreme and Supreme 90, here are some differences I've noticed-I've only done the Cardio/Tabata interval dvds so far: 1. Supreme 90 has more cardio workouts than Chalean 2. Supreme 90 has more exercises for each body part than Chalean 3. Chalean shows more options/variations...

    Equipment questions for STS

I'd get the DVDs first, then purchase equipment as you are able. Even if you have to modify the exercises around your equipment, you'll still get the benefit of the workout. The leg workout is enough, more than enough. Any more and I couldn't walk the next day! :o It's the most difficult leg...

    Equipment questions for STS

Hi, I'm the person who asked this question last month...one month into the program, I have a few suggestions... If you get a barbell, make sure it is a good quality barbell with large collars (the screw on thingys that keep the weights on the bar). I got a Gold's gym barbell and the collars...

    Leg workouts with running

RapidBreath's workout plan is great! Thanks! I disagree with those folks who say you shouldn't lift weights while running-Cross training makes you a better runner, so do the stronger legs that come from weight training! I've been doing STS meso 2 and generally plan the leg workout right...

The highs and lows of running...

I'm a long time runner too...and yes those nagging and not-so-nagging injuries are always unexpected and unwelcome-especially if they happen about five miles from home! :p Remember, cross-training is a runner's best friend!

    Rip 60

I have TRX and love it, but I certainly would have bought something less expensive if I had known about it... My friend has a Gofit gravity bar suspension training system that she loves...attaches to a doorframe and is about $60.00. http://store.gofit.net/Gravity-Bar-p/gf-gbar.htm The Rip...

    STS without Tower/Chin ups?

Lots and lots of ways to modify...the resistance bands already mentioned are probably the best and easiest idea to implement. I have a pull up bar with assist bands (ironwoody.com)-they look like huge rubber bands that loop over the pull up bar and help support your weight during the pull up.

    Procedures for heavy periods

I'm 48 and have heavy/long periods to the point where I become severely anemic. My doctor suggested progesterone and iron supplementation before I consider the ablation procedure. Apparently, for many women in their 40s, the heavy periods are due to hormone imbalance caused by too little...

thanks for the review, regina! Also, thanks kathryn for the BB&B info and SKU number-I wasn't going to order from the supreme90workout.com site because of billing and double charge issues, but calling and ordering from BB&B was easy peasy!
