    Suggestion for strength training?

How about the 4DS premixes? Or, it's not Cathe, but Squeeze Stronger has some great u/b work on it...you can really fry your muscles with light weights. For me, it was a great re-entry to weights post-surgery. I still can't go too heavy, but when I do workouts like this, at least I'm not...

    New DVDS: equipment?

Hi Cathe! Oh yes, I understand that and was looking for a rough idea only. I did do a search and tried to read some of the previous threads but still haven’t caught where it was mentioned. Thanks, anyway, for your response. I'll keep my eyes peeled for an update once the details are more...

    Back again:)

Barbara, I just wanted to say welcome back and let you know that you're not alone. I've suffered a fitness setback myself (had a long-term injury & then surgery along with an especially stressful year at the workplace), and it is hard starting over with a few extra lbs., but we'll get there!

    New DVDS: equipment?

Hi Cathe & SNM, I asked this question on another thread, but I think it's gotten buried somewhere. Do you have a rough idea at this time of the equipment needed? Will any of the workouts be equipment-free? I pre-ordered regardless but am just wondering. Thanks!

Question about shoulder and neck pain

Back in June, I suffered an acute strain of the trapezius and a pinched nerve from—get this—just putting on a sports bra. :o Really. I could not turn my head and missed two days of work. My primary doc prescribed muscle relaxers and heat, but it was chiropractic treatment that did the trick...

    40th birthday ideas?

I highly recommend skydiving. I went with my cousin when he turned 40 a few Novembers ago, and it ranks at the top of my life's experiences. Absolutely incredible! Nothing will make you feel more alive. I was on a natural high for a week after. But I think a cruise someplace tropical would...

    New Orleans hotel recommendations?

I have not been there since pre-Katrina, but here are a few suggestions: Pat O'Brien's...tourist trap? Yes, but still worth a visit for the wicked hurricanes, courtyard atmostphere, and some rather entertaining people-watching. Jean LaFitte's Blacksmith Shop...the oldest working tavern in...

Travelocity vs. Expedia.com: is one better?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. When I book with one of the online travel companies, I tend to do better with Expedia. But frequently, I do book flight and hotel separately. I know you're not up for doing much legwork, but my favorite places to start are Farecast (Bing), Trip Advisor (for hotel...

    New Orleans hotel recommendations?

I've stayed at LeRichelieu on Chartres Street and the Sheraton and Marriott on Canal. All were well-located just a few minutes from the heart of the action on Bourbon, and I would stay at any of them again. I always check out TripAdvisor before I book anywhere and have found some wonderful...
