Question about a Non-Cathe DVD (which I haven't bought in a looooong time)

Jillian from biggest loser I don't watch this show. I hate it actually, but I tried a few of her workouts on "on demand". The "free zone" has several decent workouts. I liked her. She cued well, was encouraging, and insisted you work hard without berating. I haven't purchased anything yet from...

    Mysterious Allergic Reaction

I woke up with hives a few days ago. Went to the doc because I'd had a tick bite a few days prior to this reaction. I've done nothing different, but the doc says its not the tick, but an allergic reaction to something. I don't have a big problem with allergies. Is it possible to all the sudden...

    Hypothyroid and your energy?

I can't take the generic I was on the generic form of synthroid and having trouble. My doctor had me switch to "synthroid" before upping my dose. It helped. Some drugs just aren't the same when in generic form. I know my doc would never let me take generic birth control pills. I've been told it...

One of my beloved Kitchen Cats...

I share your grief Two hours ago I was in the back yard laying Sweetheart to rest. We had her for 16 years and had to put her down today. The vet removed a cancerous lump three months ago. It grew back faster than her hair. I'm glad her pain has stopped. I love that little kitty, and I will...

    Probiotics confuse me

There were some articles in the news several months ago, about a connection between the bacteria in your gut and weight gain. The hypothesis was that over abundance of bacteria in your gut makes it too efficient in uptaking calories. I have digestions issues, mostly due to an under active...

Is it bad that I turn the news channel when they report of shootings?

I can't watch the news either I don't think our nervous systems are even ment to deal with this stuff. It's only been the last 50 years or so that this kind of "news" could enter your home in such a graphic way. It used to be your neighbor you worried about, not the whole world. I know we...

only need to look under a microscope I had ringworm once, got it from my cat. Cat had symptoms similar to what you are talking about. My doctor scrapped it, went down to the lab, looked at it under a microscope and gave me the verdict. I really don't think figuring out its a fungus is a...

    Moving to Portland Oregon...Help!

Sandy Oregon It's east of Portland and at the foot of Mount Hood. My dad lived there and we visited frequently when I was growing up. My older brother went to high school there. It's close to the mountains and the columbia river. If I remember right it was about a 45 minute drive from...

I really was going to go to work today

Me too! I openned my garage door this morning and it was snowing. It was only 11 degrees so even though it wasn't much it was freezing to the road instantly. There was about an inch accumulation. It came down so fast and unexpectedly the roads hadn't been treated. I went about a mile. Did a few...

    Cute workout clothes

I just got a new Eddie Bauer catalog. They started selling workout clothes. They are really cute in the picture. I was wondering if anyone's purchased them yet, and what you think about them. Fit, washability, etc. (I love the Eddie Bauer tshirts, but they tend to get short after awhile.)

I am debating whether to get one. I'm a teacher so run a pretty good risk of getting it. I've already been down and out with strep this year. moisturizers in the news

Do I understand this correctly? Am I reading this right, that it's actually the moisturizer not the sunscreen that might be causing the problem, and that it is aggrivating an existing cancer, not neccessarily causing it. Í think the thought posted here about moisturizers being petrolium based...

    Poison Ivy....help

I don't have a cure, but I do have a prevention. If you've been exposed wash your hands and arms or anywhere else that might have been touched with straight Dawn dishwashing liquid. Just lather up with as little water as you can possibly use and then rinse off. It breaks down the oil that...

    Digital Camera Question

check your settings I bet your camera is set to power off after being idle for a few minutes. Digital cameras eat batteries like crazy. You need to go in and change the settings so that your camera doesn't automatically turn off so quickly. It will eat batteries more quickly if you do this though.
