Karin, My husband has torn his meniscus twice (I don’t remember if it was the same knee or not, but he's had two surgeries). It's really not bad to have it repaired. The pain didn't appear to be that bad. He didn’t take the pain relievers the hospital gave him. It was just less than three weeks...
