    trespassing and seedy looking teenagers

We had various teenagers cutting through our property and that's why my DH put in a fence. We have a chocolate labrador but she only gets protective if it's a strange man, not if it's kids or women. Then she wants to play. The fence ended all the trespassing issues. HTH /karen

Evidence of Harm -- Mercury in Vaccines?? ADD, ADHD, &...

RE: Evidence of Harm -- Mercury in Vaccines?? ADD, ADH... I have learned from my own life experiences never to judge other too quickly b/c I haven't walked in their shoes. So, I refuse to judge a parent of an autistic or special needs child, as I cannot possibly know the challenges and...

    If you are a runner.....

Hi I don't know if this would be enough milage for you but this past week I have been doing the timesaver version of the Hardcore Gymstyles followed by a 3 mile run on the treadmill. The timesavers on the 2 upper body ones are about 30-35 minutes and for legs, I did the standing work only...

What is wrong with some parents?

:( So sorry for the children. My DH coached my son's little league team last season - my DH has played his whole life and still plays himself. Whenever one of the parents got out of control, he would always stop everything and tell the parent "If you think you can do better, please feel free...

    My Shoulders Aren't Getting Stronger

Well I'm not a personal trainer but from my own experience it took me many years to be able to lift "heavier" w/ my shoulder work. I despaired over how difficult shoulder work was for me (overhead press, so hard!) but after a long time of consistently working out, I was able to lift heavier...

On being "Long & Lean" vs "Bulky"

RE: On being The only time I look "bulky" when I'm lifting weights regularly is when I am "overfat" as well as muscular. When I watch my food intake, I just look cut and lean.

What do you think, should a 44 year old woman continue to color her hair blonde?

Go with what makes you feel most attractive. I personally think if you can look good w/ blonde hair, go for it. I can't, I need either brunette or red tones or I look "washed out. But why not try light brown w/ honey highlights. Highlights can look so beautiful and sophisticated, plus less worry...

    Kickboxing Bag Recs

Yes, my DH has hanging heavy bag in the garage too. I think he will resist moving it into my workout room, but I'm going to start working on that! :) It doesn't get used much in there b/c it's too hot. I'm getting my arguments ready ;)It's a really nice heavy professional bag so I am determined...

    Weights & Weight Loss

Just my 2 cents, FWIW, I think it's important to weight train to some extent, when you're dieting, b/c when you diet, you lose muscle as well as fat. If you yo-yo diet, you will continue to lose muscle each time you lose weight, and keep lowering your metabolism. This will make it harder...

    Rhythmic Step

Hi I'm a stumbler, I just don't have the patience to watch it first. I think it's just my temperment, like how I do puzzles. I like to just enjoy and look for pieces as I go while my DH actually spends time separating out all the pieces into specific groups, and then puts the puzzle together...

    52 Year Old Body

Hi I'm 42 and do notice a difference, at least from my 20's w/ exercise. I have to watch my impact levels, for example, Step Jump & Pump and IMAX2 actually make my joints more sore than running 3 or 4 miles on my treadmill. (a pure step w.o. like StepBlast, doesn't do that to me) So I actually...

    IMAX3 killed me tonight

    >OMG, you are so funny! I love IMAX 3 and after the first >time of doing it, can now do it with no modifications. I love >this workout and it seems to fly by for me. >Debbie in OH That's b/c YOU ARE FLYING if you can do IMAX3. :o

    IMAX3 killed me tonight

I have been doing Cathe workouts for about a year now and I swore I would never be able to do the IMAXes, any of them, due to the intensity and impact. Well I like IMAX2 now. Alot. On my 6" step. No modifications. But I think IMAX3 will always be beyond me. It's for superhumans, not for me. I...

Found a blooper in Muscle Max

I just did MM and I didn't see anything -- I was feeling the burn during those static lunges w/ the 30 lb barbell though! :) (also during numerous other portions! great workout!)

    Self Tanners

Well, just a note that i am not a really highly allergic person but I was using the lightest tanning version of the Jergen's Natural Glow and after about 5 days (up to then I was really happy w/ the tanning) I got the worst case of hives that I have ever had in my life. I had to take the...

    MIS gets me every time!

I love the whole dvd--w/ power hour and body max. The thing w/ MIS is that I always overestimate what I can do for chest press b/c she does those darn halfway up, all the way up things over and over and pretty soon I'm talking to the t.v. I like the legwork b/c it has no high step.

Has anyone ever appealed a ticket

Appeal it. Most traffic judges are simply "magistrates" --lawyers who are moonlighting to make extra money. Bring a picture--I bet you'll get it dismissed. Be calm, make your points in as few words as possible and look the judge right in the eye. I'm a lawyer but if I get a ticket I don't...

    Very OC - Pregnancy

Hi Christine I'm a lawyer too and I was originally not enthused w/ the idea of having kids. I know that if I had never had kids I definitely would have been totally devoted to my career. Then I got pregnant on my honeymoon by accident. My child turned out to have a severe heart defect (she...
